When I went to WI today I lost 2 pounds - the one I had gained and an extra. I am one pound away from 15 so hopefully by tuesday which is next WI I will be more than that. My scale at home today showed 171 which means I am so close to breaking 170 and I can't wait until I do because it's been about 3 years since I was under it.

Congratulations!! It's those little achievements that keep us going! I hope I have the same luck when I WI tomorrow!
noahsmama, I'm curious to see if we run into each other in Columbus.[/QUOTE]
I hope we do!
Well I lost 1.5 pounds at WI today, better than gaining I suppose. It's hard to accept their 205 when my scales say 202.5. Does anyone else have problems with that?
My counselor today told my how good spaghetti squash is and I really need another choice for cooked veggies besides broccoli/cauliflower. Anyone have any tips on how to prepare it? She said she takes hers and puts it in a microwafe-safe dish, pokes holes in it, and microwaves it for 10 min. and checks to see if it's soft all over. She then opens it up, takes the seeds out and it's ready to ea. Is it really that simple?
This definitely answers my q's... I don't know why I just realized/thought about it but it's a good thing I did. Up until yesterday I was drinking about 2/day of the chocolate pre-mixed HNS drinks, seriously. I've been avoiding pudding for the last week thinking this is what is slowing me down. Oddly enough, scale said 223 this am which brings me to 2.5 lbs lost since Saturday so at least it does appear I've busted through that hateful plateau .... We'll see what MRC center scale says tomorrow. I knew all that chocolate in one day was too good to be true!!! Thanks all. Did everyone see the report on the news about Hydroxycut tonight? I don't know about all of you but I've tried this product, never worked for me and I didn't take it for long but it still lingers in the cabinet. FDA and the Mfgr is pulling the drug from OTC so I'm going to get rid of mine. Tell your family/friends JIK. Take Care everyone and have a great weekend!
i can't believe they checked your food sheets and haven't said anything to you about the creamies.
It's going great! I went to WI today and was down 4 lbs! I was pretty excited. That puts me at 156 and I'm really hoping to get to 150 someday. It's amazing to me that I'm still losing with all the extra food I've been getting on stabilization. By the way, for all of you who are curious, week 5 is the addition of a fat each day (ie butter, sour cream, cream cheese etc.) and you also get to have your fruit every morning for breakfast instead of 3 days a week. I can't wait to have peanut butter on my toast in the morning
You are doing awesome!! Sticking to plan 100% is amazing!! Having onederland so close is extra motivation! I think 14 lbs. by June is doable! I started at about the same weight as you did and I don't think I had to buy any new close until after I was below 200. I had so many clothes in my closet that were too small. I had gotten rid of anything smaller than a 16 though so once I got there, I had to go shopping!! It was hard too, though, because I didn't want to buy too much since I knew I wasn't going to be in them for very long. Keep it up.....you can do it!
Hey Keepin and everyone! I haven't been on in awhile, I was sick, then trying to finish up my classes and work has been nuts. How is everyone? I had lost two pounds when i was sick, but gained them back immediately. I have not lost a single flippin' pound in 9 days. I HATE IT!!! I have no idea what i am doing wrong. I am eating totally OP, pushing the water, and doing "Fifteen Minute Mile" tape three times a week.. The only thing i can think of, is i do have my creamy every night before I go to bed. I have been doing that since the get go, and i cannot TELL you how much i look forward to it each day, but....does anyone think that could be it???? HELP!
Janet, I too am nearly in the same boat as you are, as I haven't lost anything in almost 7 days I believe and I've been OP as well! It's VERY frustrating but I'm continuing to exercise like normal and try and drink more water, but it's getting difficult. My taste buds are getting 'weird' and I'm afraid of what that might mean for me (as far as me wanting to cheat, which I really haven't wanted to do yet). I hope to end this plateau VERY soon, but my body may have other intentions. Good luck to you!

They say you have to make a change, shake things up somehow. I dont know exactly what to shake, though..lol..I will tell you, for me, food just doesn't make a whole hill of beans right now. I eat cause I have to, but other than that, I just have not been hungry, I mean actually feeling HUNGER at ALL!! I guess i should exercise 5 times a week, but I hate exercising!! I would rather starve any day! LOL
Change, change what?! Argh! There are times that I actually feel hungry and just want something salty/sweet. Today at lunch I had 4 oz. iceberg lettuce, 4 oz. cucumbers, 4 oz. of grilled chicken, and pineapple and I really only wanted the pineapple but forced myself to eat the rest until the end when I almost gagged. I HAVE to find alternatives, but I'm just not sure where to turn at this point. It's very frustrating becuase I thougt I was doing so well, but maybe I'm done w/chicken and lettuce for a little while. I'm not sure.
I exercise about every other day. I've started the C25K program (done 2 'runs' so far) and I really like it. I also do the Biggest Loser Boot Camp DVD as well and their Yoga. I'm looking forward to doing the meal replacement shakes/bars too. Maybe that will help me too! I can start those now I believe.

Hi Noah's mama! I know what you are feeling, I have been on this program since January and I got to the point that I could not *didn't want* to eat all my vegetables either, especially the raw ones! I'm a picky eater too so I basically steam my green beans (green giant steamers are my favorite) or broccoli or asparagus. I will eat salads but not too often....only with taco meat. I did have one today at lunch because I got a starch today on my first stabilization lunch menu and I wanted saltine crackers so badly I had them with my salad!
I was so sick of chicken that I didn't buy it for a couple of weeks. I bought ground turkey and ground buffalo. I had never eaten either one before so I got to "change things up". I also eat steak 3 times a week for dinner. Let me make a suggestion that one of my MRC counselors told me to do. I bought low sodium taco seasoning and cooked up about 2 lbs of taco/buffalo meat, I made taco salads for lunch (using waldens farms ranch dressing), lettuce, tomatos and topped it with taco meat and dressing. It was yummy and got me thru many weeks. I also ate the taco meat for dinner with a La tortilla factory whole wheat tortilla (made salsa from recipe thread and topped my burrito) and just steamed some veggies for my side.
Do you like cottage cheese? I don't really but I bought a small package and I mixed some of the low sodium taco seasoning with it (found on recipe thread) and blended it in my blender and used it to dip my raw veggies in, I did that for lunch a few times and it was good. Then you get protein and veggies...
Try to eat all your veggies, I know its hard but try different things....I find that the waldens farms dressings are really good, I've tried ranch and thousand island....both were good. The counselors said it will keep you from getting hungry if you eat all your meal.
Remember it's only for a little while, the sooner you meet your goal then you can get more choices!
Thank you for responding. I will definitely have to try the Green Giant steamers, especially at lunch during the week. At home I can steam my broccoli and such and it's not a big deal, but during the week is when I struggle the most. I caved and had a hershey bar w/almonds. I've been SO strong up until now, I just can't believe it.
I am going to fix taco salad tomorrow night using the reduced sodium taco seasoning and ground bison. I had that last week and it did taste really good. I did try the grape tomatos and didn't care for them to be honest. I just couldn't stomach them. And I've never been a fan of salad dressing. The ones I've tried last week that I've liked have splenda in them that make them a little sweet. I usually don't like celery, but had the celery/apple salad yesterday and really liked it (of course the celery was chopped up really small and had cinnamon/splenda on it, but hey, I still liked it!
I will also try a soft taco w/the meat as well. I've forgotten about that. I haven't been able to find the La Tortilla brand, but Aztec makes a 45 (I think) tortilla that I made 'chips' with the other night and thought they were okay. I may have to use the taco meat in other aspects and maybe that would help me too!
I'm 'trying' a taco casserole tonight that uses a spaghetti squash so we'll see if I like it.
Thank you again! I'm just having one of those moments today and just rely on this board so much! Have you on your journey? It's especially hard when you're doing everything the best you can (except for today for me) and the scales just don't reward you for your hard work. did you experience any plateaus? More than one?

Oh yes, I come to this board nearly every day. I tend to get discouraged when the scale isn't moving and I like to read what others are going thru. I get excited when others are having success and it actually helps me to see others doing well!
I have had many, many plateaus....one that lasted for 3 weeks, that one was a killer but the 4th week I lost 4 lbs! I would pull out my sheet on plateaus and told myself that it was my body adjusting to the weight loss and that helped. Also.....this is my trick but you know what, if it worked for me I bet it will work for you. I know that you have something in your closet...a goal item...maybe a dress you haven't worn in years or a pair of shorts or jeans that you have not been able to get in to, if not then go buy something....(any excuse right! Lol) I hung this item on my bedroom door, when I was feeling discouraged and not losing an ounce I would try it on....it kept getting easier and easier to get in to so that lets you know that even though the scale is not moving.....your body is losing inches!! It works! You do not know the feeling that I got when I was able to put those jeans on and they were not tight or binding in any way....(they are loose now...lol)!
You are doing great....don't get discouraged! I am going to send you some willpower dust.....we all need it some days!!
Thank you for that!! I have my 'skinny' jeans that I was able to wear beforE I got pregnant 2 years ago. I know I won't be able to wear them RIGHT now, but hopefully soon and just hearing from people like you will help!!
Boy! I am SOOO sick of this!! I am still, STILL on this flippin' plateau!!! 10 days!!! I do not know WHAT to do????? I have cut out my creamies,(sigh), and we will see how this goes. My friend has ordered me to put away my scale, and has told my husband to hide it and bring it to me once a week only! (I don't have a center and have to weigh by myself). I had started weighing every day, and i think that has really bummed me out the last couple of weeks. Do you guys weigh every day, or only once a week, or what? HAve any of you been on a plateau this long and what did you change??? AARRGGGHHHH!!!
