i cut out the creamies because the only one i liked was the hot cocoa and i'm so hot natured that i don't like to drink hot drinks in hot weather. i did drink some REALLY hot tea monday night but that was for a sore throat and i cldn't even finish it before it got almost lukewarm. i cut cottage cheese cuz i cldn't find the fat free and i was told it was disgusting anyway. i limit my regular cheese because it has strong effects on me and most restaurant salads have cheese on them. i kinda figured they don't put a full 4 oz of meat on there anyway and that cheese isn't very much so i count it with my protein, regardless of which meal it is *since you aren't supposed to have cheese at dinner ever* and go on.

have y'all ever tried to freeze one of the concentrates like a popsicle? i thought about that the other day and wondered if it wld be any good since they're pretty good just straight from the package. i didn't know how they wld freeze though. just throw the package in the freezer and cut the top off when it's frozen i guess...... *shrug*

also, how bad is sugar free gum for you REALLY? i mean, it's sugarless, got next to nothing in it, <5 calories per piece *the stride i'm chewing* and i'm using it instead of cough drops so i've constantly got a piece in my mouth. i can't stand when it runs out of flavor so the last two days i've gone through 2 packs and i hadn't used ANY before this. i wanted to avoid the sugar in the cough drops as much as possible but i'm wondering why they say to only have 3 pieces of sugarless gum per day? anyone know?

It doesn't freeze completely and ends up more like a taffy than a popsicle.

I have mixed the hot cocoa with a diet chocolate soda and frozen it to make a fudgesicle and also the vanilla pudding with either tangerine or raspberry soda to make dreamsicles. Those freeze pretty solid.

That sounds great!!!! I'll have to mix those two things together and try them out!

I think the creamies can slow you down sometimes but it just depends. Make sure it's not something else; water, exercise, salt? I cut them out a couple of times when I thought they may have been an issue just to get moving again, then added them back. Sometimes you just need to switch it up a bit.

When I first started, I didn't realize that the picture that shows up when we post is called the avatar. The profile picture only shows when someone clicks to see your profile. I could also be that your pic is too big of a file. I think they give the limitations when you try to load it.

She did my body comps because they want to make sure I'm not losing muscle mass since I work out so much. I've lost 4.5 lbs of fat and unfortunately, 1.5 lbs of muscle. But muscle weighs more than fat so 1.5 isn't TOO bad. I'm going to up my HSNs to 4/day and continue on my current workout schedule for a week. If by next Tuesday my muscle mass is down again, they are going to decrease my cardio even more and increase my weights more. So we'll see.

Also...they measured me and I'm down 15 inches! 2.5 inches lost on my hips, 1.5 on my waist and 2 under my bust (and the rest everywhere else). Impressive!

I am following this program to a t. I'm eating exactly what they are telling me to eat (no cheating), taking all the herbs/vitamins/supplements they are telling me to take (yes, even though they are spendy) and drinking all the HSNs each day. The way I look at it is spend the money now and get through this program as quickly as possible so that I can stop buying this stuff as quickly as possible. The less you follow the program, the more it's going to cost you both health wise and money wise.
You're doing awesome!! You'll hit your goal before you know it at this rate!

Sounds like you're ready to make it to goal!! Only gaining 3.5 lbs in 2 months is great! I was at a retreat this weekend and gained 5 lbs. in 4 days I got right back on Monday so hopefully it will disappear quickly!

I didn't do well on a test in school though and it's kind of got me bumming. I don't want to go to the gym and I don't want to study for my test tomorrow. 3 weeks from my Thursday is my last final ever - I just can't wait to get there. I'm also interested to see how fast I start losing when I have nothing to stress about because I know what I'm doing come August and I have the summer free. It'll be interesting to see if I lose a lot quicker.

Update: I did got to the gym and I feel better - less stressed. It's amazing how you can feel better doing something you really didn't want to do.
Great losses even with all the stress!! Yes, it is amazing how good you feel after exercising even when you didn't feel like it in the first place! If only we could remember that the next time but somehow I always seem to forget it

Hi Janet! Still hectic around my house. I'm still recovering from the retreat this weekend, remodeling our kitchen and planning my daughter's graduation open house in less than a month so I haven't been posting quite as often. Sounds like you are doing great...almost 20 lbs!! Go ahead and make yourself your own weight loss board. You can take a picture of yourself at every milestone and follow your journey that way You could always post it on your profile so we can see it too. Namaste has something similar on hers and I love looking at it and seeing where she started.

You asked some questions on the other thread that I wanted to answer before I forget: Yes, it is hard to maintain. I think it is harder than the diet...at least right now. I'm hoping it will be easier once I'm off of stabilization. The retreat this weekend was a big eye opener for me. I went back to some old habits and the scale definitely reflects that. I got right back on on Monday morning and feel better already.

I weigh in every day. I know they tell you not to but it has always been my habit. I'm not affected by the little ups and downs when you weigh everyday but some people would be. I think I would feel worse if I only weighed once a week and that happened to be the day I was up for some reason and then had to wait another week to see if I dropped. That's just me though. You have to know what personality you are and what would motivate you the most.

I only took flax and a multi for the first few months on plan. I didn't want to start everything at once and not know what really affected my loss. I tried phentratrim (the thermogenic) after about 3 months on plan and didn't see any difference in my weekly average so I stopped taking it. I then tried MRC6 and really saw a lot of inches lost. I don't know whether to give credit to the MRC6 though because I was only about 20 lbs. from my goal. The smaller you are the more evident the weight loss is. I still take it though, just in case.

It sounds like our digestive systems are about the same. I only "go" every 3 or 4 days on this diet. I tried the fiberfill and it didn't really do anything for me (sure tastes good though!). I haven't tried the internal cleanser. My center told me it was just because my body was using the food more efficiently so there isn't much waste. They said if you were an every day person before the diet, you would most likely be every other day now, etc.

Welcome to Jodi1964 and any other newbies I've missed!

Hope that gets me caught up!! You're all doing great! Your losses help keep me motivated and they remind me how far I've come. You tend to forget that after a bad week off plan. Keep postin!!

Yesterday I was rather bored at work and wanted to snack SO badly, but I didn't and just drank some water or chewed gum instead and I lost a pound this morning! It felt SOO good to work through that whereas before I would have went to eating cookies/candy, etc. I know I won't lose every day but it's really empowering when you make a choice like that and the scale decides to reward you. I'm down 7 lbs in 13 days...not too bad. Just had to share.

Question New to MRC on 4/20/09

Hi Everyone! I am happy to have found others on this diet. I have a question. I started taking the coq10, flax, and MRC 6 on Monday night and have tried to start the prep diet...the problem is I am not hungry at all. This is odd for me because believe me, I can eat alot. Im not sure if this happens to everyone or if I am doing something wrong. I have my first food class on Friday where I will get my menu and be able to buy drinks. I signed up for 17weeks. I am going to the Westminster CO location. Is there anyone else here that goes to that center? Happy to be here and I am so excited to start this!
Thanks Jessica

I have to admit chocolate soda sounds DISGUSTING but frozen as a popsicle might be alright. How many popsicles does it make? Cuz to get your serving you'd have to eat them all... wldn't that feel indulgent!

If the MRC-6 added at a later time seemed to cause some improvement then I might try it. My friend who did this before gave me what was left of her bottle and I haven't been taking it. I don't want them to get mad if I take it though. I can take it to a health store and see if there's a comparable product unless someone already knows of one? *wishful thinking*

The menu varies depending on your starting weight. The menus also change a couple of times as you lose weight so it's kind of hard to say what one you would exactly have. In general though you eat a lot of protein - every meal. Not that much starch or carbs (breads and fruits are very limited), you eat a lot of vegetables. You're also required to take fish oil and mulitivitamin every day and there are other optional supplements. There's also High Nutrient Supplements (HNS) that are very high in protein and you have those throughout the day so you don't starve, basically. Drink lots of water, no caffeine.

It's worth it. I had no idea what it would be like going into it. I had heard of people being successful but I didn't know about the menus, I got quite a shock when I got my first one. I have never felt better. I'm not tired, I don't feel like I need caffeine, I'm not hungry, I have lots more energy and I just feel good. I'm not losing as fast as I'd like but I am losing and that's what matters.

If you've tried everything else and nothing's worked I would suggest taking the chance on this program. I was not drinking the kool-aid at first but I definitely am now
