I am AMAZED at how much earlier they are being taught everything--my Kindergartener has already been exposed to nouns and verbs!! I had high school kids who still didn't get it. I never dreamed I would enjoy elementary this much--still don't want it full time but it's been an experience to say the least.

After my meltdown this morning I am taking some sort of a break--trying--not yet today--but trying--at least I haven't obsessed ALL day like usual. I feel horrible when I take it out on DH--and you guys. I'll make my confession now--we are going to Texas Roadhouse and I plan to have ribs--there--I said it. I will probably have to bite my tongue off not to order grilled chicken--but I LOVE their ribs. I went from eating baby backs weekly to none since Christmas and it's time. Then I will be good again--I promise. Geez--who am I trying to convince??

Deets--I hope the zigzagging works for you--I know you will keep us posted. I truly have no idea how many calories I get in daily so I am clueless as to how many to add or cut back on. When you do it will you post a sample light vs. heavy day?

The incubators they have in the classroom are really nifty--just a big styrofoam box with a plexiglass lid so you can see EVERYTHING--sometimes more than you want--I explained things today I wasn't really prepared to explain.

My kids LOVE when there are little animals in their class that they get to help out with. Actually, my daughter right now is sooo excited about growing grass in her class. (She's 11) Seeing chicks would be neat.

I am not doing TO again--too much $$ and I didn't really do that well with it this time. I feel like I am starving. I am going to continue with the challenge using Slim Fast and no TO I BETTER SEE RESULTS!
I am going to call the COD tomorrow and make an appointment with my favorite person and see if I can be measured too. I only have been once since I started In Jan!

I tried taking a couple of suggestions about switching plans. I didn't outright ask my COD, but I was hinting that it's hard for me to get in all the food, and I felt like I was eating way too much. She just said no, with my lifestyle,

Gama & Boo - what is the difference that my plan is from yours? I get 2 1/2P, 3V, 3F, 3S, 1 Fat & 1 Dairy.
Maybe I will try to (unofficially) change my food to see if it does anything for me. (Of course, I will have to fudge my journal a little. )
I'm on Purple and I get 2P, 4V, 2S, 3F, 1Fat, 1D & 2Lites.

I need to vent

Day2 of T/O and I am cooking - and looking forward to my measly grilled chicken and sauted veggies.

Then DH (note: does not stand for 'Dear' at this moment) bellows for me to come downstairs.
He had just kicked over an almost full can of RED benjamin moore (aka $$$) deck paint.

Soooo, I spent 40 minutes or so cleaning it up - and the kicker, it was MY fault for not securing the lid.
By the time I went to eat my 'rations' they were almost dehydrated!!

Luckily I have my soy gurgling belly for revenge this eve
hehe

I have decided that every 2 weeks for TO is not working for me, either. I lose better on plan than with TO. So, last night I took the advice I posted about eating what you want and had a steak. I did not measure it. I did give about 1/3 to DD but I ate the rest. Grilled. I did make the pasta/asparagus recipe (which I posted) and had a few liquid fruits... and then a few more. :-) Today I went back to being POP. So, tomorrow at the COD I will be pleased with anything. I had the meal I've been craving for weeks. (During TO, I had chicken and fish only!)

I am so glad TO is over today. I did well eating OP so hopefully the scale will show it tomorrow. Tonight I did have a just a few bites of dry All Bran cereal because I just had to have "something." I put the box away and downed 16 oz of water with juice from 1/2 a lemon squeezed in it. I cannot wait for oatmeal with peanut butter and lite chocolate syrup in the morning!

Challengers,

I messed up the 2nd day of TO by being on the phone with my brother and automatically making my shake in the blender. So, I only did one day of the three days that I was going to do. How stupid can I be. Oh well, I will continue with the shakes and eating OP as much as possible.

nite, nite (it's 12p.m. and I'm sleepy)

Aggie - thanks, I should try the beano. I always forget to take things like that. I am back to 1 bar/day so it shouldn't be so nasty.
DH was subjected to a few SBD's for the paint incident....that'll teach him.

Stacyj - I just finished my T/O today too, it wasn't all that bad. Mind you yesterday turned into more of an unlimited in regards to the veggies + chicken.
It was worth it though - scale read 143.4 this AM.

Just have to be super POP and if it sticks around til Friday - I will claim it.
Don't think I will do the shakes though - just didn't work for me.

I'm very excited about my oatmeat this am - it has been almost 10days since my last bowl.
