  • Good work Stacyj!!

Over here I am struggling to hang on to my 143.
    W/E's are tough!
I just had dinner and I have a very strong urge to eat MORE....must resist.
Already had a bit of extra protein...

  • Congratulations Stacy!!!
  • Stacy--WTG--what a great feeling! You've sure earned it.
  • Katie--I think $20/hour is reasonable--considering the equipment + time, etc. Some things are just worth it--and really, how long can it take for the area you are wanting to garden?
  • sounds reasonable to me, katie. I just worked up a huge sweat getting a spot that was 2x3 ready, so he will save you a lot of work that would be too hard on your back.

speaking of cheap labor...my neighbor told me his twin girls will clean a house for $20...and my house is 2100 sq feet. I would SO let these kids do it because the son used to do our lawn for $20 and babysits our dog on trips for about $5/day, but something in me feels like it would be so wrong to make these girls do hard labor like that for so little. What do you guys think?

Also, if my hair lady does my free highlighting (which she usu charges $100 for, what should I tip her? I am thinking she needs a big tip (like $25 on top of the $ she charges for my cut) since she will be doing a 2 or more hour highlighting job for free, esp. since I doubt I will make it a regular service. What do you think?
  • $20 bucks is cheap for so much house--I would pay them more--especially if the job is good, I would hate to love their work then them not come back because it was too much work for the $$. I like your thoughts on your hairdresser--$25 compared to $100 is a great exchange!
  • Dairy-
I have a habit of doing what you are talking about. Someone undercharges and me, or does me a nice favor so I go out and buy that person a gift.....you know? I would ask the girls to clean your house and find out how long it takes them. If it takes them a few hours then $20 may be too cheap.

How did you guys do this weekend? I was okay---had some chips and salsa today at a picnic (but no beer, no cake, and no bun)
and yesterday I had two soft tacos on top of my shake (but no sour cream no cheese just the meat and lettuce tomato and peppers)
so I guess I did "cheat" but felt that I made decent choices rather than just blowing it.

    have a great POP week!
  • I think what I am going to do with the girls is ask them to clean Eli's bathroom (wipe down vanity, clean tub, clean toilet, sweep/mom), the guest bathroom (toilet, sink, floor), sweep and mop my kitchen and dining room. I don't really need them doing the bedrooms and I couldn't face another human being who saw the state of my DH's toilet. I also don't need them doing the living room. Carpeted areas are easier for me to keep clean except when they have to be heavy duty scrubbed. Anyway, DH told me I was wrong about it being $20...he said it was $10, but since they are identical twins I assumed it was $10 each. I'm gonna talk to their mom about how much for those 4 areas. It would be great and well worth the money I think. They are great kids. I can't wait until they can babysit. The mom is taking them to a babysitting class and a infant care class-they are expecting #5 and she needs help
  • Quote: I have this weird concern that as I dump all this weight that I will change shape or size internally and my IUD will fall out. Anybody think that could happen?
Actually I have read that this could happen when women lose a lot of weight... don't even recall where I read it and don't know if it is true... but sounds like something to ask your doctor.
  • Misti - Wow - that just seems so strange - I would have never thought!!!

Katie - Did you ever hear from your doctor??

Well, Carmen & Kristi - I guess today and tomorrow is TO for you girls!! Good luck!! Here's sending you lots of easy TO :vibes:

I'm on my first of 2 days of OP - I never thought I would be so happy to have a regular eating day, but I really missed my P and S!!!! I'm so eager to get on the scales, but also scared it wouldn't have budged!!! TOM is pretty close -- within the next 48 hours!!!

Hope everyone else is doing great!!!!
  • Kristi and Heather - I am doing TO again today. I desperately need it after this weekend. I let "Life" happen to me for no good reason...AGAIN. Note to self: I WILL NOT quit. I WILL stay POP until next Monday, and I think I should log on Saturday and Sunday and post my diary.
  • That'll work, Kristi! Thanks!
  • yea ,me too Carmen - and Kristi - forget the question on the other thread about your TO -

I'll be TO'ing on weds and thurs - I'm going to do unlimited with the juice - just exactly like the very first time - I was looking at my diary and I lost good on that one - so we will see!!! I need the unlimited for the working out.

I think I'm going back to the gym today and trying to stay light weighted - my back still hurts a little, but is definitely healing!!! whoooo hoooo
