I had a great weigh in this week with a 5.6lb loss. That's the highest I've had since restarting in September.
Annie I am losing slower on this round also. It's a frustration to me, but on the same side it's also a lesson learned. I'm not going to resort to old eating habits afterwards because I don't want to have to start all over again. I'm good with doing a reboot when necessary.
This has been one of the longest weeks ever. It's only Wednesday and I'm ready for the week to be over. My Garmin is showing I'm not sleeping soundly at night and I think that's why I've felt so drained the last few days.
I've started doing a little yogalates (which is now PiYo if you ask me). My hope is to try and tone as I go to help reduce the flappy and sagging skin.

I'm also losing a little slower, but I'm losing, so I will take it for what it is worth. I was looking at an old spreadsheet and in the 4 weeks my first time on IP, I lost 6.2% of my body weight. This time on my reboot, in the same amount of time, I lost 5.1%. In the grand scheme of things, 1% slower rate is not really that big of a deal. The real interesting thing will be how it compares over the long haul.
Good morning Rebooters!
Day 10 and still feeling great. I did my mid-week check and I am down another pound. A lot of people at the gym this morning said they can really see how much smaller I am getting, so I think I may have had a "whoosh" with inches. I am 1# away from getting to my mini-goal of 155. Once I hit that, I will be the lightest I have been for over 6 months.
Anyway, still plugging along here and trying to get through this reboot as quickly as possible. I do not ever want to be here again. I had to do a lot of soul searching and decision making lately and I came to the conclusion that I will do whatever it takes to never be in this position again.
Way to go! It seems only yesterday you were commenting about whether to commit to P1 and now you are getting compliments

Good morning rebooters!
Official weigh in today and I am down another 2.4#. I am blown away! I have surpassed my mini goal of 155# and now I am focusing on 150#. The 140's are so close, I can taste it!
I continue to use the Quest protein powders and chips. Salted Caramel and Peanut Butter are by far my 2 favorite flavors for the protein powders and are my favorite "cookies".
RO- I did a little experiment with making a chocolate cake and using the PB pudding as frosting. It was pretty darn good! If I can figure out how to upload pics, I will. I did one batch of chocolate and one batch of PB. I used small corning ware baking dishes and divided the chocolate into 2 small cakes. Then I split the PB frosting - 1/2 on each cake. I had 1 for breakfast and I will have the other at lunch.
I am losing a little slower this time around, I am basically 1 week behind where I was the first time around. So far, I have lost 6.5% of my body weight in 5 weeks. It took me 4 weeks to lose 6.2% the first time around on IP. All in all, I think the difference is negligible. Also, the first time on IP, I had a really big loss the first week (5.6#) and this time I did not have that big loss, which is a big factor this time around. However, I have been consistently losing and 5# in 2 weeks has far exceeded my expectations.

I saw that in the other thread and responded. I also explained how to upload a link for pictures. I did not explain how to directly post a thumbnail as I don't know how to do that :-)
Congrats on the progress! Funny enough, your results the 2nd time are exactly opposite mine - I didn't have a big loss my first week the first time but this time I lost 14.1#! And, I am ahead of first time by 6 weeks!
Just checking in. Glad to see so much positivity and good losses this week!
I just got some blood work back from dr. and I have low good (hdl) cholesterol, but everything else looks great. My dr. suggested increasing exercise to increase the amount of hdl.
I bought a giant tub of syntrax chocolate truffle, which is okay, but I am kind of sick of it at this point. Guess I will have to give the quest stuff a go when this is gone since everyone likes it so much. I'm excited to try some of the cookies, etc since I don't think you can do that with the syntrax.
NSV- someone noticed today that my face looks thinner who didn't know I was on the program. That was a nice boost.
I am back- been a couple years. Gained back my weight and am totally bummed but here I am. Have been screwing around trying to get motivated the past two months but have been eating too much meat, eating a couple restricted a day too often, - last time I didn't eat any restricted packets but this time felt I needed a crunchy option- love dill pickle zippers and the peanut butter soy puffs- so...... I need to get on plan, portion my meat and limit myself to one restricted packet a day. I have lost about 6 pounds with all this foolishness- all the while spending plenty on product. I do drink a lot of water- one great habit I did keep from almost 5 years ago when I did ideal protein and lost 50 pounds. Here we go! Thanks in advance for the support from your posts. I think it is funny that my name on here is determined at 47, and I am now 52!!!
Height: 5'-2" - 41 years old - 2015 Reboot: 165.4/136.0/135
Determined- we are both back! I am using alternative products this time, and the Quest protein chips are a WONDERFUL non-restricted option for a salty, crunchy snack. My favorite flavors are sea salt and cheddar & sour cream. However, if you are a fan of the dill pickle zippers, you may enjoy the salt & vinegar.
Well, my mid-week check was less than stellar this week. I am up .8. Ugh. I did have a (planned) cheat on Sat. night, but I was really hoping that it wouldn't still be hanging around. The worst part is, I actually feel and look smaller this week and I was CERTAIN I was going to have a loss. Now, I am just hoping that I can get back to 154.6 for a 0 loss this week instead of a gain. I have been 100% OP (before and since), so I can only keep plugging along.
This is a heck of time of year to be 100% compliant. Last time I did IP, I was starting to phase off at this time, so this will be my first time doing this through the holidays. I figure, anything that I can lose through these next 7-8 weeks is that much that I won't have to worry about in January. I am almost 11# down, so even if I only lose another 4# between now and then, at least I am that much ahead of the game in January. I have a couple of other planned cheats on my calendar, and I am ok with that. I will be 100% OP otherwise and lose whatever I can.
How is everyone else doing?

Week 10 weigh in and I lost .6. It's not a gain, so I'll take it and it's TOM so I know my weight loss is always lower (or non existent). I had a really great loss last week, so I guess they balance out. I did also loose a couple more inches, so in all, it's still a success!
I have get to see a big difference in my thighs, which is frustrating. I use a belt to keep my pants up, but my thighs won't budge. I have a baggy waist and saggy butt and fill out the thighs just fine. Looking back on my last journey, it did take a while to lose in my thighs. I also reviewed my losses to date and I've officially lost more this round (at this point) then my last time. Hopefully the trend continues.
I made salted caramel ice cream last night. OMG. I'm in love! I had tried the chocolate the other night and it was just ok. I think the quest PB and Salted Caramel are by far my favorite.
I'm looking into emulsions and flavor fountains (olive nation). Anyone have any favorites or recommendations?

Thank you Jenny! I just ordered the cheddar and salt and vinegar. The zippers are 15 carbs a bag. If you don't mind me asking, you eat one a day? I will go back and look in the thread as you probably answered this and I remember how irritated I used to get when the same question was asked over and over.
I am super out of shape- am adding exercise in- nothing wild as I haven't done anything in two years. I am just walking on treadmill for about 40 minutes and doing some arm stuff with weights to slowly work on my chicken wings. Just started this past weekend so we will see. Thanks again for any tips and words of encouragement. Battling weight sucks- but I sure hate being heavy

YUP! I have 1 bag everyday for my snack.
I have been using the Quest protein powders as well and have been making them into little cookie/cakes. The peanut butter is off the charts! I am actually doing this time with no restricteds, simply because I don't feel I am missing anything with the bars. The Quest cookies satisfy the sweet side and the chips satisfy the salty, crunchy side. I also don't really do well with soy and most of the bars have soy. The Quest bars don't, but they are not P1 compliant, so I will save those for maintenance.

I totally hear you it taking a while to lose in certain parts vs. others! Very frustrating to have to belt everything or have baggy butt all the time.

I agree, dieting sucks, but being heavy is WORSE!
Trying to change my profile picture by uploading from my iPad- what an I doing wrong??? I didn't choose that damn Christmas cat!

Hope you don't mind me jumping in, but I think you two are talking about different products.
The Quest chips are UNrestricted at 5 carbs a bag. I think you may be mixing them up with the Proti zippers which are restricted at about 15 carbs a bag.

No mix up. Determined was saying she liked the zippers as her restricted item. I was advising her that she may like the Quest chips in lieu of the zippers and could therefore save her restricted item for something else since the Quest chips are UNrestricted.
