I have not begun P1 yet - getting the holiday stuff out of the way and putting together the ingredients to make some IP muffins and stocking up on good supply of 'grab n go' items like Quest chips.

Heading back to PT for my pinched nerve (like sciatica) and carpal tunnel related tension in my right arm - hoping to be back on more normal exercise including dancing soon. Got to get the pain and tightness under control, and I see now that my focus needs to be not just on losing the regain, but also on building some muscle strength.

My fat percent was only down to 36 percent at my lowest IP weight in July - that is a reflection of how flabby I had become over the years - no glutes at all (I am truly a butless wonder even when carrying extra pounds), and not enough core muscle tone to provide a good foundation for the rest of my body to be fit and properly functioning without pinching nerves.

These are critical changes I need to focus on along with weight loss -- as you all say - just getting started is the key thing. My Day 1 will be New Years Eve!

Thanks for coming back to the boards regularly to post and support the IPeep community 2015 ReBooters! So glad you are here!!!

Hi folks! The lunch bag is ready to start phase 1'again. My concern is that I get so weak just getting out of a chair I go completely 100% OP. I will try it and see how I feel.
Happy Monday!

Default Sorry for the absence and goodbye for now!

Hi everyone!

I'm sorry I've been absent from the boards for a while, but I found out I was pregnant a few weeks ago so I won't be continuing with IP for now. I do plan to return after the pregnancy.

Have a happy holiday!

Hello everyone.
Happy New Year!!!

Back from my almost 3 week Vacation to the Caribbean. Gained 5.5 lbs in total and up a couple inches but nothing is significant. Clothes a bit snug but they still fit comfortably. Happy with those results. Working out 5 times a week for 6 weeks prior to going really helped I think. Today is my last day of indulgence then I'm back on track tomorrow to get rid of those 5 lbs. Starting up with my personal trainer on Wednesday. Not doing IP reboot but a modified version of Atkins/South Beach. Ultimately cutting back on carbs but no protein shakes unless it's breakfast.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas break!

Happy new year Rebooters!
I am back and ready to pick up where I left off. I have been off plan since 12/12 and I am happy to report that I am only 1.2# up from my lowest weight.

I am going to start P1 tomorrow, although yesterday and today I have been partially on plan. I have at least started to eat my veggies again and have cut out the cookies I am relieved that I made it through the holidays virtually unscathed and was also able to enjoy myself and eat for pleasure. It was a nice mental break and now I am laser focused on getting to 145. I am just focusing on 5# at a time.

Jenny-
How many days a week do you work out and what caloric changes do you make for it?

I workout 5-6 days a week, but I try to do something active everyday. I do Crossfit as my main form of exercise, but if I am taking a rest day, I will go for a nice long (leisurely) walk or go to a yoga class. Something to keep my body moving, but nothing that is going to cause a lot of stress (active recovery).

I usually take 1-2 additional unrestricted packets per day, depending on the degree / intensity of the exercise. But regardless, I always take in a minimum of 1 extra per day, which is consumed immediately following exercise.

I know that there is a lot of controversy over exercise and P1, but honestly, my losses are better with exercise than without.

I'm back....had a "food free for all" from the middle of December till yesterday, and put on 4lbs. Back on P1 today and know that I'll probably drop 2 or 3lbs over the next 48 hours just in water weight. One thing that I did notice....because I've been eating so well, prior to my major ooooppps over Xmas, that when I did eat the rich holiday food, it really upset my stomach. Looking forward to clean eating again.

I am restarting my annual holiday reboot today.... just can;t seem to help myself around all those cookies and wine and have an extra 5 to show for it!

However, I am with jennydoodle on the exercise. I think for first time IPers, it is best to toe the line and go with limited or no exercise, but as a rebooter I just don't want to get out of the habit I have cultivated since going into maintenance! I think it's one of the main reasons I have been able to keep most of the weight off. ( My theory is that exercise doesn;t actually help with weight loss at ALL but is SUPER important to maintain at goal!!)

ANyway, I also eat an extra packet on workout days. I like the idea of doing it right after a workout for recovery.

Happy New Years y'all!!

Well ladies and gentlemen I thought I had it handled! That profile picture is me after losing about 75lbs in 4.5 months! I quit ip worked out kept the weight off and was feeling amazing! Even started running 5ks a couple times a week. Then 6 months ago all **** broke loose! Well not exactly. I fell in love with a man who is an AMAZING cook, mostly southern food and Cajun. Lots of lard lol. I also wrecked a 4wheeler and while I didn't break anything I am 36 and I sustained some pretty bad neck, back, and shoulder injuries that meant no working out. Low and behold here I am and I've gained all but 10lbs back :-( today was day 1. It was easy, the next few will suck. Btw I don't use ip products thanks to this site I discovered Nashua a long time ago!

Hello ladies. Started my reboot on December 26 th and have stayed on plan. Scale did not move as fast as first time and have WAY more weight to lose. But it is ok...I mean...nsv...did not cheat during this time. I chose to reboot during this time since I was off work...boy did that help..no bad headaches like last time...and boy this have have some bad days.

I went and read the exercise tread...omg...my head was spining...i had a pedometer and do at least 10000 steps a day...but i think i will start up my previous activities and add a drink.

I have not been having a restricted...is it important? Can it slow weight loss?

I used to have Quest bars...maybe i will get more...here we still have old formula. What other alternative to you ladies use for restricted?

Well here's to a great IP year!

Exactly this!!! Exercise is now a habit for me and I do not want to break it. Also, I was completely off plan during the holidays but kept up my exercise routine. I only gained 2# during this time and I am now lower than I was before the holidays after only 3 days back on plan. Even though I was eating all kinds of cookies, bread and junk in general, keeping up with exercise was the KEY to maintaining during this time.
