Day 3 of reboot. I spend so much time beating myself up for gaining most of my weight back. I need to pick myself up and move on. I can't undo it.. The thing is when I lost my weight I was so sure I would not gain it back. I need to figure out why I eat just to be eating..
I'm with you there. I told myself I would NEVER let my weight get out of control again...and I let it happen again. This round I'm going to phase off appropriately and pay attention to my triggers.
I also saw on another thread that someone IP coach said it's natural to have to reboot occasionally. I also saw that 1 person does a phase 1 day (or two) whenever they have an indulge day. These are things I didn't really know about the first go round. Largely because I didn't do it with a coach, but it's good to know now!

Exercise is a funny part of IP. I also have to keep my exercise routine for my mental and physical health but it does impede my losses. I might convert fat to muscle and lose inches but I notice it does slow my losses if I don't add packets/egg whites.
The first time I did IPA, I started doing yogalates. I had found a video I really liked on Netflix, but then they got rid of it. I did find it on Amazon video now. It wasn't free, but it was my favorite video. The perfect amount of time (1/2 hour) and it wasn't strenuous enough to have to add a packet. I feel like it boosted my losses when I added that back in and I felt I had better inches lost as well. I just started doing it again last night, so we'll see what happens going forward. I already have jiggly fat, I don't want jiggly skin.
[QUOTE=CO_6;5204270 It really is a mental game this time around. You think you have room to go off plan because you are at a lower weight, but it is really the opposite![/QUOTE]
Wow- that is SOOOOOOO true!! I am on day 3 of reboot and am already thinking of a reason to have a little cheat on Saturday. Dangerous thinking. Having "not as much to lose this time" makes it harder.
It truly is such a mental game!! that's why I love this site.
Better go post on "what I am eating today", then go fold some laundry. =)

It's all mental for me!!! Cheating does not get you to your goal and all the hard work, determination that you put in can be ruined. I chew gum. Probably too much but it keeps me from sneaking and nibbling.

That's the truth-- many coaches and people who work for IP will tell you that they themselves have to reboot 1-2x a year , likely after a holiday!!!
You are also wise to learn what your triggers are-- we all have those things that we will have to be SUPER careful of in maintenance. They can sneak up from behind and get you ( like a "vacation" eating mentality that lasts for an entire month after vacation!! Oops!)
SO congrats to all of us rebooters on here who are taking control and reversing things!!!
Why are weekends SOOOOOOOOO much harder on a reboot? That's when I feel I "have the right" to "eat normal" again, especially if I've had a great, op week! Arggh.... any weekend tips out there???
Craving something naughty right now in fact.... better pop in some gum and keep surfing the boards.

stay out of the kitchen as much as possible!!
take a walk, ride a bike, sit on the porch with a nice cup of hot tea,
look at the before and after photos of others.
plan your menu for the coming week.
encourage someone else (and you will encourage yourself in the process)
Thanks for the motivation- it's inspiring to see everyone come back and reboot to stay at goal. I gained more than I hoped with my last pregnancy, so I have a bit to lose. I am trying very hard to stay 100%, but I am finding it really hard to get everything in. I keep forgetting a packet or not having any lunch because we are busy and I forget to eat. I end up making foods I can't have for my family and then not putting much effort into my own food. I am going to try harder this week to get everything in, measure everything and remember my supplements. I think it will definitely help me in the long run since I am already getting tired of the same things all the time!
On a good note- I made some rutabaga fries tonight and they were actually good (last time I made them they were undercooked and disgusting!).

Jumping into my reboot tomorrow! I am excited to be back on plan. It really is what works for me. Too bad I broke plan for a trip LAST summer and didn't dial it back in. I really am going to hit my goal this round. I love reading posts from those maintaining it gives me great hope.

I do well at work because I am busy. When I get home I need to stay busy. Some times I wait too long to eat and then I am really hungry. Planning is very important!
Hi all - I'm finding myself needing a reboot and I have a question related to exercise. The first time around I didn't exercise at all but I have since then added in a daily walk which is not strenous but is exercise (about a 2 mile walk). Should I do anything differently for the walk days? If so, what? I also added in pilates 2x per week which I definately will need something more. I think I remember folks talking about an extra IP bar? Thank you for your wisdom!

Shasta nice to see you
I am just finishing my first P1 mini reboot in Maintenance and I walked but didn't do the Pilates, that was just my choice.
If I did a lot of hiking/walking and felt hungry, I added an extra packet or some days two. it worked fine for me.
Good luck!
I'm plugging along and hanging in there. I'm into this little over 4 weeks. I've lost 9 pounds, although I haven't weighed in 4 days. I'm in Florida now taking care of my sister. I'll weight when I get back home on Wednesday. I think I've lost another pound. I'm sticking to the plan, while trying to cook other foods for my sister. She needs to gain some weight!
Anyway, all is well with me. Glad to see everyone else is doing well.
