Day 4 reboot and no keto flu this time!! Yay! Also down 4 pounds since Saturday. Slower loss than first time but I expected that since I don't have the fluid retention I had back in March. Very happy to be back on plan.
Made it through Thanksgiving, had a few missteps but only gained one pound. But the scale stalled, and now one week later the scale is starting to tick down again. Aaaaaahhhh the joys and frustrations of loosing weight.
I'm with you there Stanski! There's been little to no movement on my scale. This is the fourth week (non consecutive) that's happened doing my second round. It's very frustrating!
Height: 5'-2" - 41 years old - 2015 Reboot: 165.4/136.0/135
I also was off plan for t-giving. I gained 2# and it took 4 full days of being OP to get back to where I was before the cheat. Give it time, every body is different in how quickly you will get back to losses.
Hey Stanski, way to go! I just started the reboot a few days ago (today is day 4). I lost 32 lbs the first time (167 to 135), and PROMPTLY started gaining back. Love of wine and no exercise did me in! I'm very close to your stats right now, so I'm looking to you for motivation! I'm at 151/148/130, measuring 5'4 (down 3 pounds in as many days -- water weight, I know). Good luck to you. I'm fairly resigned that I'll hit some sort of pause button for the Christmas holidays, but didn't want to wait until after the holidays to start the reboot because that would likely mean I'd have even more weight to lose. I'm trying to keep in mind just how great I felt about myself when I hit 135 last time . . . .Wishing you, and everyone on this thread, the best.
Hey Munkster...good luck and hang in there. This time of year is so hard..it starts with Thanksgiving, then our wedding anniversary, then my birthday, then Xmas eve, then Xmas Day....OMG. I found a good place to get my coffee every morning on the way to work and they have the Xmas cookie trays prominently displayed...uuuuugggg, then today, at work they came around with the Xmas cupcakes (I said no). Next week is the apple pie contest, and I've been asked to judge, I nicely said thank you but no thank you, as I munched away on my cauliflower...LOL
So I'm trying to take in more salt. Since beginning my reboot in Oct I am noticing I feel a little more lethargic and a teeny bit lightheaded, mostly in the mornings. I've always tended on the low side of BP, right around 105/75. The doc took my BP last week 3 times and it was 90/68. This was after I'd eaten my IP breakfast of a Quest bar. She seemed a little concerned that it was low but apart from mentioning it did not suggest a course of action to raise it. But I know I need more salt. I always feel better once I've eaten it, but ordinarily I would never salt my food. Lesson learned I guess. Anyone else have low BP while doing IP?
There sure isn't much activity on this thread I am plugging along- the scale is not moving as fast as it did last time wish is strange since I have been so 100% on plan- the difference this time is I am exercising at least 5 days a week- 2 days Zumba, 1-2 of cross fit ( very modified but kicks my a$$), and a day or two walking on treadmill for an hour. I know, I know " muscle weighs more than fat, ya dad, ya dad, but when your body fat% is as high as mine, the pounds should be flying off! I need to just quit weighing more than once a week because I sure feel the difference in my clothes- so happy to be down a pant size- starting to feel so much better. Anyway- carry on bravely IPers- post more!!! It helps to read about what every one else is doing.

I hear ya. That's why I started just posting in 2015 starter thread even though this year was a reboot.

Hi Tuscany! I also have notoriously low BP, usually around the 90/68 area also. IP hasn't seemed to affect it for the better or worse in my case. I've been told by multiple doctors that if you are able to function/feel fine at a low BP that it's not concerning. I believe in my case the low BP may actually be attributed to being hypothyroid (and possibly having Hashimoto's disease). So if you feel like you have other symptoms of that it would be worth checking out if you haven't had a hormone panel recently. The treatment hasn't seemed to affect my BP though.
Anyway, I am somewhat thankful for my low BP as the rest of my family trends in the detrimental areas that come with high BP. If you've always had low BP the light headedness may just be a result from our tiny allotment of IP calories.
2nd thought: Your water intake will influence your BP as well, so if you felt like you didn't get your normal amount in before your appointment that could also be why it was lower than usual.
Tuscany123; my BP, on medication, is always on the high side of normal, but when i'm in Phase 1 of IP, it plummets. Right now I'm averaging 105/68. I do use a lot of salt (sea salt) on my veggies to prevent muscle cramps and spasms. I've been to the Dr. to see if they want to back off of the BP meds, but they are giddy about my numbers.....don't know if this puts anything in perspective, or not.

I think this drives home the point that what we eat can have a major effect on health indicators like blood pressure. Cutting out the processed carbs clearly has an effect on me of lowering my BP. I'm increasing my salt intake for now. My doc previously said low BP leads to a longer life so I keep imagining how many years I'm adding to my lifespan by learning better eating habits, although I still have terrible cravings for sugary foods.
Just cant back into it. Dont know what is going on with me. Going up instead a f down. Cant seem to go more than 1 or 2 days on plan then i binge....up to 175....was 127.6 last march....arghhhhh
This thread is depressing- wish it were active and full of people posting about their victories, weight losses, new foods, exercises, etc....... I miss Darbs, jordana, wuv, danafrom Austin, Maile and the people who used to post daily
