Sorry I understand...& you are welcome to come post in the 2015 thread - it's a little more active...

fwiw there are a couple of us who came over during the last major wave of people who started IP / found 3FC between January - June(ish). Since then its only been a handful of folks - and something tells me Nov - Dec are not the prime 'start / restart IP' time of the year.

Stick around - I would be surprised if we don't see quite an uptick in activity in about 3 weeks

OK, people.....a little incentive here....I've been stuck at 146 lbs for 2 weeks. I'm ready to throw the scale through the window!!!! I do think I'm loosing inches, though, cause my cloths are fitting better. Just hate these plateaus!!!!!!!!!

Does exercise make you stall....? The first time I did this, a year ago, I did not exercise at all. For this reboot, last week I started going for a 30+minute walk each day. Could this be the reason for the plateau? Or, am I just getting close to the weight my body feels comfortable at, and it's telling me to stop this nonsense. Frustrating!!!!!!

If you were not exercising pre-IP, then yes, your body could be retaining some fluid to repair muscles that have been inactive for a while. Keep at it though! In a couple weeks it should level out.

Is this a weight you have been at for long periods of time before? I had a slow down right around 200 (a 'sticky' weight) and then again 170(ish). The stalls didn't last long, and like you, I noticed clothing changes.

regarding the comments about lack of posting- I am seeing that in many of the threads -- a lot quieter overall than it was this time last year. I have been struggling like you, Loser13.... I am up from a low of 156 to 185 - VERY DISTURBING. How could I work so hard and be so easily drawn into poor habits that cause me to pack it back on????

I am starting PT for sciatic pain and low back pain - both PT and massage is the recommended course for me, so that is my Xmas gift to myself, along with more attention to what I really want instead of giving in to momentary temptations.

We can do this if we try - let's continue to check in here and go for it!!!!

Well I finally hit the 20 pound weight loss mark!! Yeah!!! These threads are not as busy as they used to be at all. I have been exercising this time at least 5 days a week- and the scale is moving much slower but clothes are getting looser faster- it is weird that you can lose inches without losing weight, especially when I weigh over 190 pounds. But am feeling so much lighter- am so happy that the " switch" flipped on in my brain going into the holidays- best Christmas present I could have given myself and my family. Am wanting to be in 180's by Christmas, even if is 189. Post post post people-!! Helps us all and everyone has interesting things to say- I like to hear about favorite foods, NSVs. Exercise vs not, etc. thanks everyone

I started my reboot last Thursday. I did pretty well for almost 2 years and then something just slipped and I went from mid 170s to mid 180s to mid 190s. Each time I'd be constant for several months and then WHAM the next level. I rebooted now as my own punishment for not staying the course.

Determined Congratulations on the 20lb mark!
M35A2 Welcome back!

I agree the boards overall are a lot quieter. My first time doing IP was in 2012 and they were so busy it was hard to keep up with all of the posts in a day. I think someone else commented that social media is used more and that's likely why there's less posting here. That may be the case.

Welcome back- and I blamed stress the last two years on my weight gain, inactivity and not giving a $hit but what we really need for ourselves when stressed is to do what we can to stay healthy. Stress is always there- life is hard, all the time. You can do this!!
