Thanks canadjineh: how do you get that tracker thing on your post?
You need 20 posts and 20 days on the forums, then there is a spot to add it by going to User CP on the left edge of the purple bar at the top of the threads. There are lots of options for your weight bar or exercise days and your little 'marker' to be customized.

That's alright, Lexi... I ended up having Wendy's fries with sea salt today... dealing with stresses - taking mum to the Ophthalmologist to check on the progression of cataracts today. Eyes are doing good, but she kept having a major nosebleed and we couldn't get it stopped for quite a while, she kept pulling the big clot out of her nose or sniffing hard etc. And she couldn't remember what she was there for and accused dad (repeatedly) of not telling her about the appointment or who the doctor was, etc. All the while I am trying to be calming and soothing because she is getting more upset due to the mess and being late at the office (I phoned) and the blood itself...
UGH!!!! consider this my 'journal entry' for today...
Next meals are IP - YES!

Hey Liana- I occasionally glance at the maintainers food thread to give myself ideas for when I (eventually) make it to maintenance.
And I wanted to say good for you! You had a SMALL fries. I can't remember the last time I had the willpower to order a small fries! AND you were under your daily calorie goal!

It's actually very inspiring.
Thanks Sharkie, but it was not all good last night. I do fine usually during the day, at night I seem to be a different person... I cried on DH's shoulder as soon as he got in the door from work last night, poor guy - he is very supportive though. After I got home from a planning meeting for the summer work schedule last night, DH headed off to bed and I watched TV (HBO comedy video - Flight of the Conchords Season 1). Soon I was digging in the back of the pantry and ended up with 5 tomato & basil ricecakes and 3 Laughing Cow Light wedges. Of course the logging has been completed and the computer shut down for the evening, so sometimes my food diary days are actually incomplete. Haha, follow my posted meals from the day and you should be good, lol. Just realize that stuff seems to happen to me later right now that doesn't end up showing.
Jekyll & Hyde... Unfortunately at Wendy's they didn't have Dad's baked potato ready on time, so they substituted with a Large fries, chicken nuggets and even offered a chocolate frosty, all for free...lol. At least I only had half a Small fry portion and said no thank you on the Frosty when I picked up the other food. (I can't eat the nuggets because they have breading) Liana
Ahh, rebooting, here I am! I was quite good at maintaining for many months. This past winter we did renovations and lived in the house while the renos were occurring. I certainly do not recommend that! Suffice it to say, I let myself go and here I am on a reboot. I feel empowered, though, getting a handle on it before it gets too crazy. Plus, jumping back into the plan means I don't have to make decisions about food and that is such a relief, given the bad decisions I was making.
I lost almost 36 pds 2 years ago. I have had 3 cheat days instead of 1 over the past 2 yrs and not maintained protocol for the past 6 months. My weight has steadily crept up. Now I just look at some of my clothes instead of wear them. I started back up a month ago with an inexperienced coach. I transferred to a new clinic as of last week and my first week weigh in is Sunday!! I have 4 weeks till vacation!! I'd appreciate your support to ensure I dont have to reboot again!!
For those of us on MyFitnessPal -- I found some interesting blog postings today in the Low Carber Daily Forum - the LCD Group.
They have a sticky thread with lots of good links -- check out The LCD Launch pad
One really good one is about your scale readings - one of the best descriptions I have seen in explaining what that number is actually measuring each time and the reasoning behind the jagged daily path downward that we all see instead of a smooth downward slope. Your scale is a lying liar pants: I copied the text and posted here in 3FC if you cannot reach the article in MFP.
The key point that grabbed me and the one in this article that has especially pertinent meaning for the Rebooters on this thread is:
7. Stop restarting. Just keep going. We have this mindset that, if we ***** up, we will just restart tomorrow. Stop that right now! Do not EVER restart. Just keep going. Not tomorrow, not in an hour...with the next bite of food. Because, honestly, it makes us feel like a failure, and that isn't fair. "I have to restart again, because I suck and keep screwing up." You have not failed until you give up. Do not give up on this week, this day, this hour. Just make sure the next thing in your mouth is good fuel and keep going. You didn't fail, you just didn't make the best choice, but you WILL be strong enough to make the next choice you make your best. Don't force yourself into failure for an entire ***** day! That's emotional and mental cruelty.
The Low Carbers have more fat in their protocol than we have in IP, but I imagine we will have more fat in our maintenance practices than we have in P1.... and much of the fundamentals for other Low Carb plans are similar to what we are doing.
If you don't have MFP yet, or you think a tracker like it is more than you would log into everyday, you might like to check out the general healthy eating and fitness tips that are present in their Community section. I am finding some really good motivational and informative info that's a bit different and a complementary addition to what I find here on 3FC -- Check it out!
ps: I use the same screen name in MFP that I use here for those into 'friending'...

OneUh, this was all so incredible, thank you really!
I think it would be great to have both links or the text somehow put on FAQ or somewhere -
I think the question about the scale comes up so often for new people, and I can’t quite write it out any more in any comforting way, but they they get frustrated that none of us answer their question.
We could just post the link when the question gets asked….just a thought.

Maybe Lisa can help with that - she does a great job of managing the sticky threads and the FAQ kind of info that's in the daily chat - let's see what she thinks!
Was on IP in 2010-2011 and lost 62 lb. There are 2 big problems to this: 1. My coach did not finish me off on P4, only on P1 at 132.50 lb., so I didn't really learn anything and 2. To congratulate me my husband bought me chocolate, and more chocolate, which I cannot refuse and don't really want to share. Restarted IP March 3rd, 2015 at 198 lb., changed clinic (bec of confidentiality problems) April 29, 2015 at 187.00 lb. Now at 183.50 lb. as of this morning, not much but I just noticed that I'm taking too many carbs in a day. Will fix that promptly.
