I'm back! Boy have I missed you guys!!

I'm not going to sugar coat things here, I did fantastic the first half of my vacation then fell flat on my face the last half. Was up in my weight this morning. I kicked my own butt already so you don't have to.

Anyways, I'm back on the wagon this morning and ready to get the show on the road and get back into ketosis as fast as I can. Friday can't come fast enough for me! Monday will be my new weekly weigh in day.

I see we have lots of newcomers! Welcome! I am off to read all the posts since I have been gone and see what I have missed!

Jean~ Not sure if these issues are still an issue for you or not. But along with upping the fiber, making sure to take your magnesium supps, and upping your water if it's not up to par... Also taking in a little extra Vitamin C helps a lot in that area.

YES! This stuff is amaze balls! In the mornings, I take my regular magnesium supplement, but about 1/2 hour before bed, I take my Natural Calm. I love the raspberry flavored. My husband takes it too. Fantastic stuff it truly is. This stuff also helps in the BM department.

Welcome to the new folks and welcome back to those we have been missing! Take everything one day at a time and stay strong! You can do this.
Whoohoo Grace!!! You are doing so fantastic!!

We have similar stats (I'm 5'4" and start weight of 210) so I watch your skinny meter all the time...except I'm LOTS older than you are! Ha!
Thank you so very much for your kind words! I appreciate it more than you know. I ended up not doing so hot, but I will NOT let it mess with my head and will NOT think anymore about it. I have a job to do, get healthy and get to my ideal body weight... and that is just what I'm going to do! I'm looking forward to watching your skinny meter go down!! Locking arms with your girl, we CAN do this!!

Welcome back Linda,
Have missed your happy and motivating posts. I wouldn't worry about your vacation slip. It's a new day. Life happens. You're back and that's all that matters. How was your trip?

Thank you Jemma... I had a wonderful time! Very busy! Some of the nights we spent with our youngest Daughter, some with our Oldest, some with my Husband's Mother and her husband...lugging our suitcases all over town..haha 5 of our 6 Grandchildren live in Michigan and it was such a joy spending time with them. Hated to leave them...lots of tears

I honestly didn't venture to far away from my new WOE, but with ketogenic, all it takes is a "little" to put the breaks on fat burning and also start retaining extra fluid. There is no wiggle room honestly... and I knew that.

My mind is already back focused and ready to get back to the task at hand. Keeping my eye on my goals and that's where they are going to stay!

Thanks Linda for the threads! Your posts are so positive and motivating. It's hard to believe how fast time goes by when doing this IP lifestyle change! Today is already my week 6 weigh in!

No worries on the slip on vacation - we're all human after all! Getting right back on track is the key and you are doing that. Weigh-in on Wednesday and getting a new coach. The one I have has called me once in two weeks. That's not really what I call coaching and I have questions...so you guys are stuck with those! Sorry - Anyone know if La Croix fruit flavored club soda is allowed? It has zero everything, no aspartame. Also if the focus is carbs, why can't we eat more protein? I confess - I'm still hungry. The packets don't do it for me and there are only so many vegetables and salad I can eat. It's getting kind of old and I've only been on it 1 week and 1 day! Eeek!

Hi - just a note. I bought a cheap but accurate food scale at our local grocery store. Less than $10; I didn't want to guess because, obviously, I can't trust my visual interpretation of what I'm eating. Also, we can eat PICKLES??? No one told me that! I love dill pickles - how many a day?

IP43 - pregnancy at my age would be a miracle! On many levels - Ha! I'm better today; don't seems so sad or worn out. Have a bit of energy back. Good to know about the estrogen though. I've got a radiated thyroid so I'm sure that's not helping either, but I'm not giving up. My daughter's best friend is getting married in Sept. and her mom is very ill so I'm helping with the planning. Looked for a nice dress today in size 14 - I hope I'm there in Sept. Not ordering anything, but fun to look. Has anyone started a clothing exchange? I have some nice 1X, 2X and XL clothes that I would be happy to send someone...in a month or so!
