sigh or grrrr.... patience...I'm not very good at that! Lot's more learning opportunies than just about weight loss here!
Have a great day everyone. It's my wi day today. I can tell things are slowing down in me and I feel a little bit sad about that...but not enough to erase the gratitude for how far it's come.
sending love,

LOL re patience. I had a friend tell me NEVER pray for patience. I've heeded that warning well
Many people who meet me say "you must be so patient". I work with children with special needs and their families. DH will tell you I must use all the patience up at work. I always figure I'm suited for my job and not yours!
But I have learned, over time, that we are our most "real", not in the public eye but in private. That is where our true selves shine through. Practicing patience with myself and at home is something that will always be just that: practice. They say practice makes perfect. I'm happy with progress

Good morning all - happy Friday. This week has been very slow and I felt tired n sluggish most days but not sure why. I did catch a few days where I missed taking my suppliments maybe that's it. I had to alter my schedule and had wk 6 Wi a few days early with no loss to report. I'm hoping that means next week will be higher than avg (sigh).
I did have a positive experience though buying a dress in smaller size for wedding next week. I'm one who measures success by the scale but it does feel good to be down a size too
Have a great weekend everyone. You are all so inspirational and I love the recipe ideas I get from here!

I described earlier in the week - feel like I am 'stalled' - but there is no basis for feeling this way because I have stayed 100% OP and don't weigh at home so really have NO idea. Others have said they have had this feeling before, and ended up with a good loss for the week, so we'll see (fingers crossed!)! I am giving myself no option but to stick with it 100% anyway, but sure would be nice to see it on the scale too!
Have a great Friday everyone (can't believe how fast this week has gone!)

Odd quoting my own post - but it's easier As I feared - that "feeling" I had was NOT baseless after all - down only .5 on the scale today. That's just 2 lbs in the last 2 weeks. But, like I said on the 100% thread, I walk the walk, not just talk the talk, so this will not make me waiver in my commitment to being 100% IP. Patience has been mentioned a lot today, and that's what I've got to have! It will come. Coach made a few suggestions - I've resisted adding any restricteds so far, but I've relented and will start one per day. Also, have really made very wimpy attempts at adding exercise (one day this week!), so I need to get on the ball with that. Quit talking about it and DO it! I get so mad at myself when I KNOW what I need to do, but can't muster up the gumption to DO IT! What do I expect!? Anyway, hopefully these changes will shake things up and next week's weigh in will be better!

Lisa - until I left work to take care of my mother, I, too, worked with the same population - at risk children and their families. One day, my adorable (and handicapped son) said to me "Mom, why are you so nice to everyone else's kids at work and so mean to us?"
Gave me a real knock in the head as to where my priorities and energy were going. One of those days as a mother I cried.

Happy Friday! Today was interesting! One of the doctors I work for wanted to show their appreciation for my help, so she had a dozen warm cookies delivered to me at work! If you are in the Austin area, you are probably familiar with Tiff's Treats -- man they are good! Anyway, I didn't have the heart to tell her I couldn't have them, so I called her to thank her and said, "Oooh, they're still warm!" LOL! I made the hospital volunteers and the nurses on the 5th floor very happy. What I thought was a real NSV was that it was not even an option to me to have a bite, or one (or 6) -- I just couldn't do it. And I didn't feel deprived -- there will be Tiff's Treats in my future!
So that was my big triumph of the day . . . until I got home and went next door to pay the neighbor boy for mowing my lawn. They had just taken chocolate chip cookies out of the oven and offered me one. I just smiled and said, "Oh, thank you, but no, I'm good!"
Yay for me! :-)

WI 7 was today, down another 2.6 for a total of 29 pounds. my coach called me a star, and this was after my business trip, too. Looking forward, and reveling in daily NSV's. I am now lower than my wedding weight , and my 21st anniversary is next Thursday! My hubby is very supportive and has loved on me through this process, and in all my heav years, never ever commented on my weigt or what I was eating. Guess he figured I owuld come around. He is the best!

Morning Greetings Everyone! Going to have my first restricted today! IP Peanut Butter Bar. I really hope it doesn't awaken the cravings/hunger, which is why I've been resisting. But also hope this little change will jump start the scale again.
MidgieMoon - such a nice 'shout-out' to your hubby! And congrats for getting below your wedding weight - and just in time for your 21st Anniversary!

Sorry about the raging client. Any kind of CS role is tough...face to face gets ugly and it all = STRESS!
Good about TS...you all don't need any more in your neck of the woods.

Thank you Mrs.Kathie; you are absolutley right. And I used food and alcohol as a coping tool for that stress. Now I'm using 3FC and all this energy I have to do other things.

Hi Friendly IP'ers! I've been off the grid for 2 wks (travel) but I'm happy to say I'm back in action. Thank you for all of your support and encouragement helping me with best practices & tips of staying OP. I made it 100% however, things to note for next time: travel with more pre-cut veggies!
Happy Saturday

Having dealt with a very slow weight loss recently, I was beginning to have the tiniest little creep of being ticked.
Then for a lark I bought a pair of black jeans, size 18. (I have been in much larger only since being married 24 years ago). I was going to set them aside as "motivation" but could not resist.
They went over the thighs (snugly, but still a miracle) and then all the way up, zipped and buttoned. Now, they are not SO loose I am ready to go outside wearing them, but what a great incentive for me to be extra special careful over the next weeks to make them fit just right.
It is impossible to convey how wonderful and inspiring it is to get into a size 18. That to me is the first step towards "normal" and away from what I was alwaystold was "morbidly obese". I never want to hear that "O" word again and I want to wear lots more clothes whose sizes begin with a "1"!

That's terrific! Congratulations.
It's too bad we're all spread all over the country/world -- just think of the fun we could have swapping clothes because (for example) as you start to fit into an 18, the 18-wearer is getting into a 14, etc.
Have a great day, everyone!
