Hi Schenectady - I'm celebrating with you; what a wonderful feeling. Hooray You!!!

I too have hit a bit of a stall; as my coach said this AM "the honeymoon phase is over and it hits everyone at some point BUT stay focused and patient because the plan works!" Keep up the tremendous work and you will be happy. Nice going!

Morning all - WI 3 and down 3 lbs. fat % starting to drop with muscle starting to go up, so all in all, very happy. Last week was a trial run for a longer out of town trip this week - meetings in SF Wed & Thurs, DH flying out to meet me for a long weekend in Napa - sigh- me as the designated driver LOL.

They went over the thighs (snugly, but still a miracle) and then all the way up, zipped and buttoned. Now, they are not SO loose I am ready to go outside wearing them, but what a great incentive for me to be extra special careful over the next weeks to make them fit just right.

X-citing!! Congratulations! That very thought should keep a smile on your face for days!!!

Many people who meet me say "you must be so patient". I work with children with special needs and their families. DH will tell you I must use all the patience up at work. I always figure I'm suited for my job and not yours!

But I have learned, over time, that we are our most "real", not in the public eye but in private. That is where our true selves shine through. Practicing patience with myself and at home is something that will always be just that: practice. They say practice makes perfect. I'm happy with progress
Reflecting - patience, practice, perfect, progress brings to mind other 'p' words that are part of mantra I use in my work. It's crossing mind that it could be an ip mantra, too:

proper prior planning and preparation prevents piss poor performance!

hope everyone is having a good weekend.

sending love,
Annik

Happy Saturday
Congrats on planning ahead and staying OP. Two weeks is a long time. Hope travel was fun.

I managed two dinners out (one at a childhood favorite pizza place) and a weekend away with family...all OP.

It feels good to stay in control rather than outside forces controlling us, right?

Yay 100% ers!

PS I know the scale is challenging some days but consider your average... 6 weeks and 20 lbs.... Pretty darn impressive

[QUOTE=slownsteady;4855439]Morning Greetings Everyone! Going to have my first restricted today! IP Peanut Butter Bar. I really hope it doesn't awaken the cravings/hunger, which is why I've been resisting. But also hope this little change will jump start the scale again./QUOTE]

Hope the introduction of restricters goes well for you! I personally look forward to that item each day because there are so many tasty choices, and do love the peanut butter bar.

Hi vachinyc - thanks for your support! And, I'm so happy to hear that you managed 2 dinners out - WTG! A pizza place is a tough one to navigate on IP, seriously, you should be so proud of yourself. AND, a weekend away with the family is no small affair either - Kudos.

Ps - thanks for the reminder; you are right there will be challenging days but on average, we should both be cheering; Go Us!

Hi All,

For medical / personal reasons I am going to be following a low carb diet vs and IP diet, I think it will be fairly similar but different enough to consider myself not on IP.. I wish everyone on here great success and will still follow the threads and pop in time to time to say hi

Cheers! J

Had weigh in # 7 this morning and hit 42lbs lost. I always find that the week I am on the road for business I do better which is crazy because before IP they were a disaster for me with unhealthy food. Now I just stay in my hotel and have my IP food.

Good morning!

I am wondering if you have any recommendations for a good travel blender. I want something light enough to pack in my checked luggage without taking up a huge amount of space. My friend has a Hamilton Beach single serve blender which she really likes, but the cup is only 14 oz and when I make a smoothie I tend to go bigger! Oster makes one with a 20-oz cup but the consumer reviews are not good. So I'm wondering if any of you have recommendations. Thanks!

In reading this, I realized what I find so intoxicating being on IP - BEING IN CONTROL! I mean that in every aspect - control of my emotions, control over the environment where I am eating (restaurant, someone's house), control of my thoughts and how I react to people who might break my being 100%.

Yes, I am someone who has always loved control but it has always been lacking in the one area - my health. I was so focused, so organized in every other aspect of my life, my pea brain thought I could let go in just one area.....

So now I feel a little high when I go into a very high class restaurant and can read the menu, scope out what I can have, think how I am going to ask for what I need, and succeed.

It is almost as good walking out of the restaurant knowing I WON as it used to be walking out after a really good meal. Real, real close!
