Happy October. I have decided to make a change for this month. I met with my coach yesterday and I am going to do the IP Alternative Plan. I've been feeling really crappy. Most of this is because of the medicine I'm currently taking, but some is psychological as well. I'm not hungry, but I feel so deprived. It's a bad combination. So I'm switching gears a little with the Alternative Plan. This is not the same as alternative products. I'm hoping mentally adding the 3 items per day give me a boost. I was ready to give up. 8 weeks in I'm averaging 2.5 pounds. That is right where they say you should be, but I've had success on other plans like weight watchers and averaged 2 pounds a week eating "real" food. I had already lost 25 pounds this year. My cardiologist suggested this program to get weight of quicker so I switched. But my body is not moving quicker thus my turmoil.
I had WI#5 yesterday and only lost 1lb for a total of 20lbs gone. I had a bad case of the big C and I also had a spike in my fat percentage (half & half in my ooffee last week). So this week I am 100% OP and not being careless. Also, I've lost quite a bit of lean muscle mass so far so I can't walk the dog any more, and I MUST eat a restricted. I may need to add a packet also, we'll see.

Morning team, hope everyone's day goes well. I'm off tonight for my first business trip on IP - bit daunted. Wonder if TSA will let me bring tuna packets in my carry on!!. I have all my packets -in my purse, computer bag and carry-on - and since I'm stay in a hotel, I've already decided to order a big salad at breakfast time to take with me. I have every intention of sticking to the plan but this will be my first test. Next week, I'm off for 5 days!! In Napa - gotta be the designated driver for my DH.

ecdslim - I know this sounds strange, but I look upon new challenges such as this a game - how far will be search and go to make sure I am OP? I have discovered that I can very politely ask for all sorts of things to stay on. I do not give in when I see a menu I cannot manage - I start asking questions as to whether I can please get whatever is needed.

I know, you have always given me courage to do that. This week is a conf, lots of walking around, sitting, breakfast meetings, lunch meetings. cocktail parties. I'm going to take your advice and treat it like an obstacle course!
Good Morning everyone. Had WI this morning finally back to the wieght I should have started at. Pcked on those 20+ lbs over the last year. Must say feels great to lose it in two months. As for dropping sizes, I haven't yet. Just shows how tight they were before the loss. I guess that why my Lee jeans are called slender STRETCH. LOL
My success today was making a CARE package for my college son and eating none.....I hope it tastes aright since the chef doesn't test it!
I made Spicy Chipotle snack mix, Coconut Nut Granola Clusters, Pine Nut Nut Mix, White Chocolate Brownies, Butterfinger Bars and Muddy Buddy chex mix. Now I need to apply all that energy to ME. Working on it...

I am feeling good and staying OP; still cannot figure out why my stomach was growling so much yesterday. Oh, well. Now off to grade some more... May also make those zucchini muffins...

Well, as promised, I did it! I got some walking in tonight - not quite as long as I should have - but a 20 min walk on the treadmill at 3mph. It's a start!

Hi all, just go into my hotel. I was on a plane right in the middle of dinner hour, was in a panic when I realized that was going to happen. Ran home before I hit the airport, defrosted 8 oz of shrimp,threw them in a gallon ziplock with romaine, cucumbers, cauliflower, EVOO and lemon juice. When I got to the airport, I grabbed a knife and fork from Dunkin Donuts. I sat on that plane and ate my OP dinner out of a gallon ziplock!!! Yep, got some weird looks, but have to say, I feel great!!!
