Done!

For anyone else interested in using more whole grains in their diet, there is a great book called Eat More Whole Grains by Winnies Winning Ways - it includes protein recipes, that include seeds and pulses

I just got my Phase 4 sheet and it doesn't say anything about 3 snacks a day. Is that on your sheet? Would you mind sharing your sheet?

Thank you! Totally not the same sheet I got. Mine says NO carbs at lunch and NO fats at dinner. Your sheet makes sticking to Phase 4 so much more realistic. Loved the water blotches...they made me lol

I hear ya! I was pretty scared that Phase 4 would involve too much thinking on my part (which is why Phase 1 was perfect for me!!). This updated version makes life much easier! I had some chunks of honeydew melon for snack today....who knew life could be this simply good!!!

So I`ve been taking my herbs like a good girl and doing bootcamp and the scale still won`t move...Shrugs...guess I`m having a small plateau. Frustrating considering I still have soooo far to go.

Maybe the whoosh fairy is due to visit me...

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekends and everyone on the east coast is safe.

Same here, the herb concoction better kick in soon. But I'm too early in this game to hit a plateau,I guess my body doesn't know that.

Hello everyone!

SO..... I finally gave in and stepped on the scale. Despite my feeling my clothes and inches change, I have only lost 3.5 pounds in 2 weeks.

oh well, I wanted something bigger but the whoosh fairy hasn't been here. At least it was downward movement.

I don't think I can do this diet the new way. I have tried for the past 2 weeks and even used the occasional restricted packet 2x a week. It just hasn't worked for me. Guess I am going to have to boot camp this again! UGGH.. Well, at least the results of that process made me happy. I just am not looking forward to 5 more months of no colored veggies.

So, remembering what I did last time, I will be doing eggs or cereal panckes every morning, a drink or soup at lunch, a 5oz dinner meat, and a pudding or jelly for a snack. No caffeine, no sodas, water and herb tea only.

Let's see if the next week or two is better.

Howdy stranger....I am with you....I will do what worked so well for me before....omelet for breakfast...shake for lunch and meat/veggie for dinner with a bar for snack. I am starting back to my clinic on September 6th...that is my first weigh in. Not sure about weight...haven't stepped on in a couple of days...but I should be lower than my lowest (165) on the 6th. I am just ready to attempt those last 15/20 pounds now. I have to say that I was on maintenance all summer and I took more days off than on and ended up okay in the end.....but if I wasn't getting on track now...I would have been up (I was up a pound or two last I knew, but staying away from scale until the 6th).

I am only staying on until the 15th of October and then I will phase off for good.

I am very nervous about going back to such strictness after such looseness. But that is part of the process learning to pull in when we need to before we gain weight back.

My poor daughter gained back about 50 of the 60 she lost, but she is starting again.

I'm back from my West VA star party madness. We had great weather Friday night, rain/wind madness associated with Irene on Saturday, and good/cloudy last night. Overall, a great time was had by all.

We had a little "fun" with the RV today (transmission fluid leak), so we ended up driving to the rental place, unloading on the side of the street, and packing into a taxi minivan and another taxi and getting a free cab ride the last 30 miles to our house. I'm exhausted! I will catch up tomorrow. Thank goodness I'm on vacation tomorrow to recover!!

I am so happy you are back! I knew from the facebook posts this was your plan. I am sure you are really busy getting ready to go back to teaching too.

I think you will do great. You have always been so focused and determined when you are in the 100% on plan mindset. You won't have any problems.

YEAH! You are back! I am so glad you had a nice trip and the weather wasn't the worst possible. Can't wait to hear all about the good times. More importantly, I am interested in how your house faired in Irene.

Congrats on Phase 3- enjoy the Big Breakfast!

This is the exact same weight that I ended up after Phase 3 was over- 142. I was so happy because I figured that would mean leveling off at 145 in maintenance. But I was very conservative in my eating last week, too conservative maybe, avoiding the extra carb and trying to stick to lean meats & eggs for proteins and dropped another 2 pounds. Whoops. Coach said WTF to me and ordered me to start eating the extra carb to start eating more period. Funny to read Brummie's post about having 3 snacks a day as I really didn't intake that info- just looked at the graph sheet that stated- 1 snack either IP or other. So, will have to try incorporating some nuts/ fruits throughout the day...

Well, went down to Calgary last weekend to visit friends & family (my younger sister just had identical twin girls!). It was great to get to visit with everyone and they have a truly spectacular farmers market in Millarville which is so close to where I was staying. I was in seventh heaven because the day of the market was my 'free day' and got to indulge in samples and such and enjoy myself at my friend's birthday party that evening guilt free. Next day did strict Phase 1. I truly believe that this is the beauty of this program and why it can work long term- because it enables you to stop the runaway train. Before when I would go off a diet it might takes weeks or even months before I would get back on track again and now I'm developing the habit of not feeling guilty for indulging and getting right back on strict program the next day. Simple. Beautifully Simple.
