Red face hi guys.....I'm new

I just started the IP diet last thursday, and it's been pretty good so far. Where do you guys buy the WF products? I couldn't find them at superfresh or safeway. maybe trader joes or something? It's only been almost a week and I'm worried about how I'm going to keep this up when I'm already sick of salad already. Maybe I'll feel more encouraged after my 1st weigh in on friday. I'm an RN and I have several coworkers that have done the diet and had success so I'm hoping for the same results. Anybody wanna be buddies with me on here? I need support!

That is absolutely adorable and would make anyone's day.

Your pound is probably from being constipated. Don't be so hard on yourself! You have done awesome. I've heard that smaller people loose slower and you have done great, less than 10 lbs. to go...geesh...AMAZING!! Congratulations on quiting smoking! My DH used sunflower seeds to help him, not sure if we can have them, but worth checking?? Don't give up! Have some tea, go potty, loose a pound, give yourself a big from all of us and all will be well!!

Don't be down in the dumps Erin...you'll get there! Although it's hard, I make a concerted effort to not compare my IP weight loss experience with that of everyone else's here. We're all different sizes and shapes with different metabolisms and food choices...it is probably unreasonable to expect that we'll all follow the same path to our weight loss goal. Similarly I avoid stepping on the scale at home here and wait until I weigh in at the clinic...no need to put added pressure on myself or bring myself down. Look how far you've come...you have a lot to be proud of and you should celebrate that!

As for the smoking, good for you and hubby!! Since you're already making an effort to improve your health through IP, I think it's wonderful that you're going to try to eliminate the cancer sticks too! You can do it!

I'm hooked on True Blood. Bought season 1 on dvd when it came out and went through it quite quickly. It's like a cajun blue movie...Jason is yummy! I just bought season 2 last week but haven't had the chance to start it yet...need some alone time since there is no way the hubby will watch it with me!

Keep smilin' girlie...I'm sending warm fuzzies and positive vibes your way!

Welcome Sushigirl.... I just started in July too actually on the 17th. I think it would be great to have groups for people starting at the same time.... I would like to buddy up with people on here for support. I am new to this too and have yet to have a first weigh in. I VERY much appreciate all the words of wisdom from those that have been on this IP diet for a while....
Are we able to exchange our emails on here? maybe after 20 days there is instant message option for chatting... we shall see

A lot of us order our WF online. Check out http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/idea...-one-free.html It has the website and a coupon code!

Welcome to all the Newbies!

this is a great site and you will find it to be a great source of information and an UNBELIEVEABLE motivational tool.

congrats on all the losses and NSV's....

I had a week where I gained 3lbs overnite and it wasn't due to cheating or TOM so I was pretty stumped. The scale slowly went down over the week and then we went to celebrate Grandma's 90th Birthday out of town. We had a great weekend w/ family and I was really strong the first day and then caved.... There was nothing I could have eaten there and I mean nothing (they do it up).

Started fresh on Tuesday and only up 2.5 lbs so can't be that upset. Fell off the wagon but jumped right back on! Can't wait to see inches/ lbs lost on my 3rd official weigh in.

Stay strong everyone and here's to a successful week!

congrats Jordanna!!!!! I'm very jealous!

Well I'm glad we can be buddiesIt sounds like we started almost the exact same time! My first weigh in is friday, and I'm kind of excited! I'm pretty sure I lost at least a little because my clothes are a tiny bit more loose!

That is my favorite, too. I actually had it tonight as my snack. I hadn't had it in awhile, (trying to get my collagen packets in).

I like the Raspberry vinagrette, and can tolerate the ranch. Not a fan of bacon ranch, but can get it down. I like the strawberry jelly, too. I just ordered a few more like the pasta sauces & choco syrup, we'll see.

Honestly, everyone's tastes are really different on this diet and they change as you go through it. There are packets that people on this forum like (check out the 'your favorites' post) that I can't stand, and vice versa. Most people hate the soups, tho.

Like others I've noticed the fact that I'm waking up early in the morning, totally awake. Strange.

I had a great weigh in today, (posted on the 20 pounds) 155.6, down from 159.2! 3.6 pounds. Back to weight loss. Also, this officially puts me a little more than 30 pounds total down.

Saw my eyebrow waxer tonight, she didn't recognized me from a distance!

PITA! Way to go!!!!

Erin: Did you read the life after phase I posts that talk about that you will not lose any the first week or so on phase II? Maybe that's it?

Is there somewhere we can see the carb content or nutrition facts of all the IP foods? How did you find that info out?

sushigirl, the nutrition facts are on the boxes of product, not on the individual packages. Some coaches give IPers a nutrition fact sheet. If you didn't get one, then check out this message 5 the IP Food Alternatives thread.

http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/3162766-post5.html

Hope that helps.

oh thanks for the info.. I think I still have 2 weeks I think til my 21st day of joining this group.. waiting is the hardest part.......

went to bed with stress migraine last night/ advil and relpax helped but still have residual headache this morning.. I got up at 2 am for more advil and had 1/2 choc packet ( thinking maybe that would help?)
I feel like I want to cry, like my Joy fountain has stopped flowing, and is not even dripping.. I have to go to work and put on a happy face and be super pleasant but I will be forcing this, and it usually came naturally... I am gonna mention this to my coach tomm at my weight in. I'd better have dropped some pounds by tomm's weigh in, or fat loss or something..cause I have not cheated AND I have been swimming daily.( new for me)

You go girl. I tossed out the cigarettes about fifteeen years ago. That was the best decision I ever made. The desire for the smoke never really goes away though. Be prepared for that.

What you need to remember now is that you have IP on your side. You know how to lose the weght. So what if you gain 10 pounds? Just get back on phase 1 and lose it! You have a means for successful weight loss that should allow you to quit smoking fearlessly. Anyway.... I just love to see people give up the cigarettes. My DH still smokes and I don't think he will ever quit.

Best of luck to both of you!!!
