Hey everyone, too many things to respond to. Congrats on all your fantastic losses!!!!

My weigh in is tomorrow, I didn't like last weeks (1.8lbs), I'm hoping this week will be much better.

My 2cents on the big C issue: I had that problem sometimes before IP and found that probiotic yogurt helped a lot. Since I can't have that anymore I started taking probiotic pills/supplements. That was a week into IP when I started having issues. They seem to work well for me, and I like knowing I'm putting some good bacteria back into my system because this diet doesn't have dairy, or many other foods. I haven't mentioned it to my coach yet (just cause I haven't remembered), but I can't imagine any contraindication.

As a taller woman I too find that I don't change sizes easily. Hey, I'm not a big shopper, but maybe someone can fill me in. When I go to the US, what's the difference between, uh, I think it's juniors, misses, and womans? I haven't noticed those categories where I'm from, again, not that I shop much.

They are strips you can buy to tell you if you're in ketosis (you pee on them). Not a necessary things to have, I bought them a couple weeks in and I warn you it's easy to get addicted to checking, well I guess if you have that personality, and I do! Maybe someone else can tell you more.

That's great that you have such a great supportive community at work. I've read so many posts here of people with less than supportive coworkers.

I've got baked chicken in the over marinated in WF BBQ sauce. Should be a good meal. We'll see.

Have a fantastic night everyone! I'm crossing my fingers for a loss tomorrow!
The week before TOM starts I'm always hungry and wanting to graze. Maybe this is a possibility? I hope tomorrow goes well at your WI.

Wow, you're so close too. Hopefully we'll both be celebrating in the 180's next week!

how did you figure that out??
I am keeping a spreadsheet of my own for weight and inches lost weekly. I decided to add a column for money spent at the clinic weekly. I am only tracking IP dollars spent. This does include any special supplements I buy from them. Then I can quickly divide money spent by pounds lost. I started doing this because I thought it might mentally deter me from cheating if I had a value for each pound.

However, it could be that some of us are actually saving money:

New Formula: Cost of IP or alternative food minus what you would have spent anyway on regular food, junk food, and meals out, then divided by number of pounds lost.

Talking

WOOHHOOOOO!!

My first official IP weigh-in was last night - I've lost 8.2 pounds and 19.75 inches in six days!! I was so excited, I wanted to hug everyone in the place.

Plus, I found out that my very dear ex-brother-in-law (my sister was crazy for divorcing him!) is also on IP - he started the week before I did. I went to see him and my nephews after I left the clinic, and he's lost 8 pounds and 31 inches - already off one of his insulin shots and they're reducing the other! He feels great and has a lot more energy!!

So for all the skeptics out there (including my husband and Dad) - this diet is amazing!!

And my scales showed another pound gone this morning!!

So I guess I can add this:

1 for every 5 pounds lost

I'm not certain about the sizing in Canada so maybe there will be a match here. A little overview.

Junior sizes 00-15 are odd numbers 00,0,1,3,5,7... often you will only see them go up to 13.
Misses are even numbers 2-16 typically, though you may see an 18 on the rack.
Womens are even numbers that have a couple sizes from the misses sizes included. They are womens (plus sizes) because the bust, hip, and sleeves are usually bigger. Sizes 14W-28W
The is another sizing that you will often see 1X is 14/16, 2X is 18/20, 3X is 22/24

Then there is the style different. Juniors is teen styles and misses and womens will span all age groups. Typically juniors is cut for bodies that haven't filled out. So if someone has no bust or hips juniors will often be a better fit, but finding a mature style can be challenging.

Juniors and misses sizes co-mingle. Juniors 11 is a misses 12, j13 is m14, j15 is m16.

I really hope that helps

Well I'm nothing if I'm not consistent. Just got back from WI#4 and lost 3lbs! That makes 3lbs a week for the past 3 weeks for a total of 15lbs lost! I'm not complaining! I thought for sure I was going to bomb this week. Guess not!

Default Yea for your weight lose!

This diet is amazing - I have been on it for three months and have lost 60#'s as of this morning. The weight just melts off at 3-4 pounds per week and I am excited. Good luck to you doing it "One Day at a Time".
