nothing to look forward to.. I miss food.

I'm missing it toooooo....I think is not that bad. What I do is have coffee all day. I'm not a real food lover but love junk food. I was 140 when I got pregnant this last time. So if I wanted to be realistic I should only be worried about loosing 20+ lbs but since I decided to loose it in such a drastic way I figured that I could aim to loose everything. So for me "good healthy food" is not what I'm really missing. I'm missing, Entenmann's, Chips Ahoy, Reese's cups, Sara Lee...all the good stuff! However, as long as I have Coffee...I don't crave for anything else. It's when I have to eat food that I get all flustered since I hate Vegetables...womp womp wooooomp!:dizzy::dizzy::dizzy:

I love coffee but the non dairy creamer on non milk days is not cutting it. I have a cup in the morning but it tastes different. Tomorrow I can have coffee and milk....

I'm used to dieting, but I always had a cheat day...AW is making it so hard to stick to when I can't even have a lick of "bread crumb"...it's a TOUGH day for me, the smell of Italian food is killing me!!!

just imagine a pound of that stuff on your thigh... since butter is pure fat good visual

Not to bring up a gross subject.. but I am not really going to the bathroom on this diet. Only a little on vegetable days. Just wondering if it is all sitting in my intestines. Sorry about that..

Had a cheat day with a piece of a piece of pizza and went up three pounds! I might as well have had the whole piece and enjoyed it for three pounds. Down 2 today but not lower then what it was. Got three days before weigh in to get rid of the last pound and then go lower THAT STINKS. REALLY WISH I ATE THE WHOLE PIECE.

The bathroom is definitely an issue. Dr. S says to use psyllium husks up to 3 times a day. The capsules never worked for me as well as whole psyllium husks from Vitamin Shoppe. BUT it's not for everyone becuase it's very course.

Another one I like is metamucil or the generic walmart one with orange flavor. Both have worked for me. Less texture and has a sweet flavor.

Good luck ;)

Does anyone have a set date they want to reach goal by or are you just taking it one day at a time?

I'd like to be at goal by June 1, but not sure if it's reasonable. Don't want to be dissapointed.

yeah, I use benefiber. It has not taste and you don't even know it is in your drink. I used it before this diet. But this has made it worse. So much for just eating roughage and having it come out.

I don't have a set date. I have an approximate.
I am doing Easter protocol so that will set me back but I need that to look forward to after 23 days on this diet. Looking forward to it Sunday. 1 week.

Kerrioh, Coco and MJ,
You ladies are just amazing. I've been reading thru the last few pages of posts. Just amazed at your ability to stick with the diet. Just reading your words helped me stay away from cheating today. Today is my first day on it. Had baby #2 four months ago and it feels like summer is barreling toward me faster and faster. Each pregnancy I gained 50lbs (I'm only 4'11) and I need this chub off my frame now! My MIL and FIL have lost unbelievable amounts of weight. My MIL even weighs less than I do (at more than a foot taller). To make matters worse, we are going on a beach trip with ALL of our best friends and their children in less than a month. Me in a bikini? Lord, help me!!

Made the milk, splenda, vanilla extract and cinnamon mixes today. It was delish. Starting to feel some major hunger now and I think I'll turn in VERY early to bed tonight.

Two Questions: when can I have the sugar-free candy? What are your favorite sugar-free syrups? My husband is in law school so we are on a very tight budget. I only want to buy what is actually worth it.

Every day is a hard day with this diet... Good luck!!
You can have 4 or 6 piecs of sugar free candy (depending on your Dr.) throughout the day. The only syrup I have used is the Walden Farms Chocolate. Would not say it is that great but it is the only one that fits the requirement. I think you can use unsweetened cocoa and splenda it will taste more real. I have used smuckers sugar free apricot jam in yogurt. That is pretty good. I want to try the peanutbutter but its all chemicals it can't be that good.
I go to bed pretty early on milk days. Its rough when Sat and sunday are milk. It stinks.. food tomorrow yeah...

Gracefindsgoodness 04-17-2011 09:20 PM

Kerrioh,
Thanks so much! The chocolate sounded pretty good... so does the cocoa powder. The WF stuff makes me a little nervous. As you said, chemicals. If there are no calories, what is it made of :)?
What vegetables are you making tomorrow?

Welcome Grace!
I agree with kerrioh, EVERY day is hard. But it's a simple diet to follow that actually works and fast!

I also don't use the walden farms or drink any diet sodas becasue of the chemicals. However, when I started this last summer I stocked up on peanut butter, marshmellow, caramel, apple butter, pancake syrup, strawberry syrup and chocolate syrup. If you live anywhere near totowa, NJ there's a farm on route 46 that sells them for under $3. Sorry don't know the name but it's behind the nissan dealer. Anyway, those taste horrid alone but in shakes are tolerable, sometimes good.

There's a mailing list for the diet, the link is on their website. Often there's good support but I took my self off becasue of all the drama lol.

Best of luck! Stick with it and you'll look hot in your bikini by summer!!

P.s. did your in laws do the program? i'm trying to get my mom to do it but she's so difficult :dizzy:

kerrioh68 04-18-2011 12:03 PM

MJ where are you? When you disappear its not good news. How was the weekend? I am down 10.5 total for two weeks. I will take it.. I am more then on my way to 15 for the month. Hoping to surpass that. 20 would be nice.
