I am going to try the rice. Maybe it will be softer since it is small. Not holding out any high hopes.:?: |
Coco,
Didn't know about the mailing list. Yikes... what kind of drama are we talking about? I'm loving this message board, though. No guilt if people fall off the wagon, no judgment or condemnation, just encouragement. My in-laws are doing the program. When they first mentioned it, I was VERY skeptical, like many are. But I can't argue with the results. Such a huge weight loss for them both. My FIL has been pre-diabetic for a while and his blood sugar levels are looking great since he started. We live in Virginia, but my in-laws are near Toms River, NJ. I was doing the Medifast diet for a while, but I plateaued big time. Then I joined up with AW. |
yeh thats true, maybe the rice will taste better. I havent heard anything about the rice yet. Are you on a veggie day today or milk?

Grace, you can sign up for the email list where people send emails to accuweight and they go to everyone who is signed up for the emails. It is similar to this but there are way more people responding.

I am excited to eat a meal on Sunday so trying not to cheat at all this week. |
Go Kerrioh!! 10.5 pounds!! Awesome! I bet you can do 20.
Melissa, congrats!!!! 50lbs!!! That's like half a supermodel. Both of your losses are keeping me away from the kitchen today. Thanks so much for sharing. I went on a walk this morning with my friend and it was just what I needed to keep my mind off of 12pm. Came home and it was time to drink. Milk, that is. |
Kerrioh,
You can probably be at goal by mid June. Just stick with it. |

Grace,
It gets a little easier after a while. You kind of get use to it. I do have a cheat day once in a while but, I def dont recommend it because it makes it harder to get back on track. |

Medifast wasn't bad. You basically eat their food, which I think is cheaper than Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig. It is mostly powders (to make shakes, hot drinks, pudding, "soft-serve", soup, pancakes, "scrambled eggs", etc). There are also bars, which are pretty tasty. I like that you eat 5 of their meals throughout the day and then make one "lean and green" meal. I can also cook dinner for the whole family that way. There are lots of things you can add in terms of condiments and throw in snacks. For me, the downside was, compared to this program, the weight doesn't come off as fast. It is much easier to transition off. I could do the MF while I was breastfeeding and the weight came off faster then. When I stopped, not as much. What I like about AW is that the more rapid weight-loss motivates me not to cheat and be consistent. Like you said, AW is NOT for long-term and I think Medifast could be.
Thanks Coco for the info about the email list! |
