Ozzie1985 - Hey! I'm not doing the 30DS right now so sorry for jumping in on the thread, but I once read a really great tip about doing crunches without straining your neck and I thought I'd let you know! If you press your tongue to the roof of your mouth as you're going through the movements, it supposedly engages muscles in your neck that help you do the crunch right. I don't know if it's medically true or not, but it works great for me!

L1D5 done!!!

Those side lunges suck!! But they're getting easier.

What is everyone doing diet wise? I'm counting calories but I've been losing and gaining the same 3 pounds for what seems like months. I think I need to switch something up. Any suggestions?

I think you are just doing your crunches right I've read that tip as well. It said it would help align the head properly. But there is no way that pressing your tongue to the roof of your mouth is going to affect the muscles situated in your neck. Those muscles are not at all connected. Their origins and insertions are nowhere near each other and different nerves supply them.
You don't contract any muscles that do align the head either.

SugarRox i'm using MFP to calorie count and doing my best to pick healthy food but yea i've been stuck losing/gaining the same few lbs for what feels like months. i'm hoping that if i keep doing the 30ds i'll start seeing some changes in at least my body.

L1D6 sweating like crazy but doesnt hurt the next day, and i'm sleeping much better whoohoo.

Hi all!! I just discovered this thread. I started 30DS a week ago. I haven't done today's workout yet, but today will be day 8. No breaks yet!
Those first few days were AWFUL!! It hurrrrrrt! The pain was mostly gone for me by day 4, and completely gone on day 5. It's getting much easier now, though I still can't do all those jump ropes.

I took my measurements at the beginning and am excited to see the difference after 30 days!

L1D6 done!!!

I was only sore the first 2 days, and then I took Sat. and Sun. off and I haven't been sore at all this week. Should I be sore? I think I'm pushing myself pretty hard.

L1D7 done.... i skipped yesterday out of pure laziness even though the scale isnt doing anything i can feel a difference in how low i can go during squats and lunges (fyi i hate jumping jacks and static lunges now lol) and how long i can go before it really burns

i find by posting here each day i do it, it's helping to give me the push i need to do this what an awesome site

L1D7 & L1D8 done!!

D8 was so much easier. I moved up to 8lb weights for everything but the side lunges. L2 here I come!!

How is everyone else doing?

I saw a big jump on the scale, I'm discouraged about that. I know muscle weighs more than fat but I highly doubt I've gained that much muscle in 8 days

Hello ladies, can I join in? I started today, done my L1D1. Yes, it was difficult, and I know I won't feel my legs and butt tomorrow, but it certianly didn't feel impossible. I did cut me some slack when I couldn't do certain movements, but I am going to work on that and try really hard to catch up. Were you able to do all the movements from the beginning? It just feels like I can do this, It's just 20-30 minutes a day after all...

Welcome Ronja!!

The only move I had trouble with from the beginning were those side lunges. I hate them with a passion. Oh, and I do the push ups on my knees, I've NEVER been able to do a proper push up though so I'm not discouraged about that.

Are you doing anything else along with 3ODS? Diet wise I mean? I had been calorie counting but I'm not seeing any positive movement on the scale so I'm back on South Beach, I've done it before with great results.

SugarRox thank you! OF COURSE I do push-ups on my knees (and they are still pretty miserable push-ups), because seriously, if I were able to do regular push-ups I wouldn't need this program, eh?

As for the diet, I'm not following any specific diet ATM. I've done it before and it worked great for me, but once I went off the diet I gained everything back. So this time I'm trying for slow but consistent improvements of my eating habits which I hope I'll be able to keep forever. It's easier to lose than to maintain, sadly (not saying it's easy to lose though!)....
