MFC = My Fitness Coach for the Wii

I have no job, no kids so lots of time fortunately or unfortunately, however you want to look at it.

I do a 30 minute workout around noon, one at 4pm then another at 7pm. The days I add in weight training, I do it around 5pm.

Just finished 30 minutes MFC.

Total today = 30 minutes TBL Cardio Max, 30 minutes free step, 30 minutes MFC, full body w/s :carrot:

Thanks! I am super impressed and I bet you are burning more calories because you are varied and breaking it up. :cheer2::cheer:

Can I ask how much was the Wii fit and is the cardo max, free step and full body programs on the Wii fit or did you have to buy them separately?

I can't be quite sure of the prices because my bf bought them but I believe he paid under 500 bucks for the Wii + balance board + Wii Fit. Cardio Max is one of The Biggest Loser workout DVDs. Free step is one of the aerobic exercises with the Wii Fit :)

Nothing wrong per se but how fast were you doing the reps? Your movements should be slow and controlled (you can count say 1001, 1002, 1003 etc by the time you reach the end of the movement). Did your muscles feel fatigued at the last rep of each set? Remember, the whole idea is to not be able to do, for example, the 11th rep if you decide to stick with 10 reps/set. And the 10th rep/set should be where you feel, that's it my muscles are crying and I'll lose form if I do 1 more rep etc :D . It should take you roughly an hour give or take few minutes.

It takes me about an hour, including the 5-6 min warm up jog. I also note down in the column there, weights I used and reps I did for that day & week. Very important to keep track.

You can do 3 sets for all the exercise. I did 2 for some cuz that's how I wanted to do it. Plus, abs I am following the Ab Ripper X now. And, for me more reps for abs felt better. You can start with 15 and see how you feel.

I would not recommend going over 3 sets per exercise. You can change the reps if you want to keep it between 8-10 reps/set. I chose different reps for couple of them based on how I needed to work my muscles.

Hope I made sense here... :)

Onederchic 08-21-2009 09:59 PM

Thank you so much, pintobean. You made perfect sense!:hug:

I did 45 minutes today on my stationary bike, I cut back from 110 minutes as I was told I was overtraining. I was getting ammonia smelling sweat. But tomorrow I will try what they suggested, which is two 45 minute sessions a day, so I don't stress my body. :carrot:

WOW you used to do 110minutes. that;s amazing.

that's a really good idea doing 2 - 45 minute sessions. you are a machine! :cheer3:

hehe you're welcome!

i know, you're so right - this thread really inspires me to do some exercise no matter what it is or for however long, just so i can post on here! hehehehe :broc:

ps well done on your 95 pound lost, that's really impressive! :congrat: :congrat:

inlovelovelove 08-22-2009 02:07 AM

Good job!

Congratulations to everyone on the thread- I just joined and it's good to know that I have support coming from every direction!

I signed myself up for a half marathon in February!!
I know I have to be able to do it when that time comes so now, even if I don't want to "exercise", I do have to "train"! I bought new running shoes and a few cute workout outfits and now I absolutely love to work out. I'm only up to 3 miles at a time... and I run/walk them... but it's still better than I have in a long time!
I think giving myself a goal (aside from JUST weight loss) has really helped.

You are all inspirational... just wanted to share my story. :)

Thank you I started last September, so 95 pounds in a little under a year is about 2 pounds a week, but I am glad I did it that way, as I am very blessed no saggy skin because I did it slowly. The only thing I can complain about is smaller breasts, I went from 40DD to a 36C. :tantrum:

What did it for me, was a photo that was taken of me at work, I was like who the **** is that FAT CHICK? But it was me yikes! :o I was in self denial, but that photo was the proof I needed, I was FAT! I said to myself never again will I abuse my body and I bought the book "You on a Diet" and I also use to follow Jillian Michaels advice from her radio show, which is off the air now. But my will power came from that horrible photo, and still does. Thanks again for starting this life affirming thread.

Wow!! You'll do great for the half marathon. I'm doing my first 5k in a few weeks, but I cant even imagine doing a half marathon. Have fun! And it does help to have a goal, other than weight loss!

And great job Igetfit!

WOW! WTG on the 95 pounds and no saggy skin!:congrat: I guess there are rewards to losing slowly even though we ALL want it to happen fast! LOL!
I was the same way with the pictures. I think I was in denial about how fat I got until I saw a picture and now I refuse to have my picture taken. I'm a SLOW loser too. I'm a 42DD and I HOPE and pray these puppies go down to a 38C or 36C. They make it hard to shoot pool! I have a boobie handicap! LOL!
