I might do a stretch workout tonight if I have the time.

Thank you Devadiva! I am loving the STS program. I am thinking of doing a round of P90X after. Although, I have my eye on the Chalean Extreme workouts. I keep going back and forth on whether to buy them.

Igetfit - Great job on your workouts :cheer2: 3 sessions of 45 minutes each is awesome!

Onderchic, enjoy your rest days. You deserve them!

Pintobean, so very true what you posted!

jendiet 08-25-2009 12:13 AM

haha. well today. My shins said no to exercise. I could have done my exercise bike. But I figured my body probably needs to rest. I should have done strength training, but I"m too tired. And It's too late. ugh!

but I did work out yesterday. I don't know if I posted.

I did 30 min interval walking. (hills and varying intensity) and then I did some strength moves. tricep dips, modified push ups, plank 20 sec. side plank 10 sec each. leg lifts, hamstring curls, squats, glute lifts.

today I am resting.

Onederchic 08-25-2009 12:14 AM

Congrats on that workout and rest is good too :D :cheer2:

jendiet 08-25-2009 12:19 AM

Thanks onderchic. I should be in bed! But, I got to force myself--like an overtired kid!

oh yeah the a/c man fixed the problem. My friend is recuperating from his losses, but his house is in decent shape THANKS TO SO. He knew exactly what to do. He actually removed the flaming pot (the pot had potato chips and toilet paper in it--bad combo) from the stove and beat the fire out. My hero! (he's a vol. fire fighter)

There are couple exercises in the ab ripper that I don't like. 2 days after Day 1 of the ab routines my core and thighs hurt so bad. It hurt to laugh or cough. But seeing your amazing pictures and transformation it gives me hope that my abs will get better and toned like yours some day :D

Today - Week 2 Day 1 of Ab RipperX and Treadmill

Keep up the good work girls!! Everyone is doing a great job. No pain no gain ;) That's what I keep telling myself.

Onederchic 08-25-2009 09:53 AM

Great job nakedmango and pintobean :cheer2::cheer3:

Diva 08-25-2009 12:39 PM

Onederchic 08-25-2009 12:57 PM

Yes, it counts in my book, Diva :D :cheer2:

Diva 08-25-2009 01:36 PM

Coolbeans! I deep cleaned this house for 2.5 hours and I'm still doing laundry. I'm pooped.

In the morning - 30 minute walk.

And then in the evening (just got back) - 40 minute walk.

Onederchic 08-25-2009 03:12 PM

Great job, Echo!! :cheer2::cb::cheer3:

Narnia99 08-25-2009 06:01 PM

Hi everyone, I haven't done my workout yet because I need my dh to spot me on chest presses. So I'll have to wait until tonight.
My plan is: STS mesocycle 2 week 4 - chest, shoulders, triceps.

Jen, good for you for listening to your body. I always find that I come back stronger after a rest day.

Diva, definately counts in my book too!

Deva, wow! You look great - very fit!!

Onderchic, hope you are enjoying your rest days.

Echo, thank you and great job on your walks today :cheer3:

2nd session down

Hello All,

I see everyone (Onederchic, Echo, NakedMango, Diva, Jen, Pinto, Deva, & Narina, I am sorry if I've forgotten someone) is doing a terrific job and getting it done. Everyone on here just kicks my butt into gear, really you guys do. Because let's face it sometimes life can pull us in all direction but this thread helps me keep on track.

I am starting a walking club with about 30 homeless women I volunteer with, so please send me your prayers that I can manage this large group of women who are trying to take back their lives and health.

I am about to start my 3rd session exercise today. I'll check in when I am done.

jendiet 08-25-2009 10:28 PM

i just got to say deva...**sexy whistle** wowee wow , wow!

well today didn't go so hot exercise wise. Unless you think exercise is trying to pump blood with chest compressions through a manequin. However, I did not sleep again. I know 4 hrs of sleep is rough combine that with Basic Life Support/CPR training for 4 1/2 hours and it's hectic.

I passed my certification. The class was over in 4 hours. I now know how to give 1 man/2 man CPR to adults, children, and infants. I also know how to operate an AED and I feel empowered with the ablity to save someone's life. even though my brain literally feels crammed with information.

The lack of sleep made me feel like the cartoon where they tape the eyelids open while the cartoon was still asleep...and made it appear the cartoon person was awake and performing tasks. I even aced the written exam. wow.

I passed out in bed at 8:30 pm. So for damage control I am going to do a few light strength training moves and pick up cardio when my busy day comes to a loll tomorrow.

I am very stressed about how expensive my training is, the lack of easy-to-get-to-help. Even a 4.0 student struggles to get financial assistance. And the lack of organization of my instructors for the first few days of class. Don't know where or when my classes are located. The scale being down so much from the beginning of this year--motivates me, but I really need someone to tell me---we all have busy lives--do the exercise.

Thanks everyone again and you all are so awesome!

Onederchic 08-25-2009 10:37 PM

I am glad you passed and hope you get some good sleep soon. You're in my prayers :hug:

IgetfitNStrongforme 08-25-2009 10:42 PM

Prayers

Hello Everyone,

Thanks for prayers and well wishes! I am very excited about it, I couldn't believe so many of the ladies signed up. I am starting out with one day a week and hopefully we can build up to 3 days a week with the ladies. Right now the ladies who have a bed at night, sit in the day room all day long that's where I volunteer with the computers teaching them and overseeing the computers. They are pretty sad and lonely, it breaks my heart to see them sitting like broken down zombies in front of the TV, because they don't want to go outside as skid row is hostile and hard place for women. They have no one, they are all alone. I have big dreams to turn things around for these ladies, I hope I can bring them to fruition. Anyway I thought about how exercise had helped me and I know how good I feel eating right and exercising it's gotta do wonders for them. If anyone lives in Los Angeles and is interested in volunteering please let me know we need more women.

I finished my last 45 minute session of :ebike: exercise and so now I am going to have a cup of tea and kick back.
