Exercise Accountability August 2009

Welcome to the exercise accountability thread for Auust 2009. Whether you walk, run, swim, cycle, bellydance, or shred, let's get it done!

:df::encore::cheer3::cheer::cheer2::cheer: :sunny:

This thread is to keep us accountable and keep us motivated and above all to keep us moving! All are welcome, and feel free to join the thread at any time. Some people post a goal for the month, some just keep track of what they do every day. It's not important how you do it, we just need to do it!!

The summer can't last forever, so et out there while you can! Grab your runners, your bike, your yoga mat, your friends, your family, your dog--and get out there and be active!

I've finished hefting boxes and lifting furniture, at least for a while now, and am in possession of my new apartment, which is only a short walk from the gym I'd joined for the summer. I'd stopped lifting weights during the move, since it seemed kind of redundant, but I'm going to resume now. I am looking forward to re-establishing healthy habits in a new location. It's kind of weird, though, because no one here in my building has ever known the "fat me." They take me at face value, and they see someone of average build who goes out in the morning dressed for the gym or in the evening with a yoga mat over my shoulder.

Plans for today -

1 hour cardio
30 minutes lower body with MFC

patchworkpenguin 08-05-2009 11:02 AM

I had cateract surgery a month ago and had to stop exercise while I recovered. In two weeks, I'll have the second surgery and will have to stop exercise again but I'm doing what I can when I can. I workout at home with exercise DVDs {I need someone to virtually workout with!}

Yesterday I did Firm: Get Chisel'd 42 min.

Haven't decided yet today.

Narnia, Happy to see you doing STS! I really enjoyed that earlier this year and plan on doing it again in the fall! {Big Cathe Fan!} Did you order the STS Cardio??? I think Meso 2 was my favorite but I got a lot out of Meso 3. I had never lifted to my full potential before so that was interesting.

Be back when I decide what I'm doing today!

Onederchic 08-05-2009 11:08 AM

30 minutes cardio done

patchworkpenguin 08-05-2009 04:10 PM

I did Firm: Cardio Dance Slimdown. I am not a dancer, some of my 'moves' look more like they belong in a kbox ring, but I do okay. This workout is about the top of my dancing ablility choreography and style wise. I find I do much better with Latin and bellydance than any other styles.

I'm on a Firm kick these days, I do 'lighter' workouts in the summer when its so sticking HOT, then do more intense workouts in the winter to help keep me warm

Onederchic 08-05-2009 04:23 PM

Very nice, Penguin :cheer2:

Onederchic 08-05-2009 05:09 PM

30 minutes lower body MFC finished

Narnia99 08-05-2009 05:19 PM

August 5: STS Mesocyle 2, week 2 Legs = 47 mins. I am going to be so sore tomorrow :yikes

Onderchic, thank you for the welcome :) Congratulations on your success. Very inspirational!!

Penguin, I am a big Cathe fan too! I didn't order STS Cardio though because I was worried about the level of impact. I've struggled with a lower body injury and I don't want to take any chances. I have a feeling I will regret not preordering though.

Onederchic 08-05-2009 05:22 PM

Thank you, Narnia99 and woo hoo for the workout today :cheer2: :hug:
