You handle those pom poms pretty darn good, we'll have to add you to the pep squad
Why thank you onderchic, and I would be hounered to join the pep squad :D

Jen, are your abs sore or is it painful? If it's painful you might want to see a doctor to be on the safe side. I hope you feel better soon

Pintobean, I have a lot of The Firm's older workouts and I still really enjoy them. I don't have too many of the newer ones though.

pintobean 08-20-2009 08:43 PM

Awesome job girls!! Keep working hard.

I did my ab ripper X and my treadmill. I think I still have my abs. I'll know more tomorrow when they hurt like ****.

I know I was going to do the Firm 500 calorie workout DVD but I didn't do it. Well, I started with the DVD but she was going SO fast that I felt I missed too many steps. It seemed every time I blinked a new move was added. So, I just said to **** with it and did my HIIT on the tready. Working out today was tough. I do have days when it is too tough just to finish your exercise.

Onederchic 08-20-2009 08:58 PM

I think you did overly awesome, pintobean :D :cheer3:

jendiet 08-20-2009 09:59 PM

I really don't know what it is. It's my sides where my inner thigh meets my abdomen. I worked out my abdominals today figuring that the pain wasn't getting any better with rest. so why not make them stronger?

Everyone is doing super. I probably will have to exercise earlier tomorrow. I have to get 5 shots. I think that alone will put me in a poor mood.

I did 35 min of DDR.

I used my bean and did weighted donkey kicks, super squats, bridges, inner thigh raise, dynamic lunge, lean back, outer thigh raise (weighted), back raises, scissors for the core, hanging leg raises for the core, reverse curls, the plank, and side plank, super push ups (bean assisted, wide and hands together) and some stretching.

I did it!! woohoo. I 'm not waiting for my side whatevers to get better. I will just have to work that out.

Onederchic 08-20-2009 10:11 PM

Very nice, Jennifer!!!! :cheer::cheer2:

nakedmango 08-20-2009 10:31 PM

Echo 08-21-2009 08:00 AM

my exercise confession: day 4 of p90x.

I did 40 minutes of Yoga X.

it's a 1 and half hour workout, but i stopped after 40 minutes, boy its tough! and i've never done yoga before. it was also hard figuring out what he was doing, when i had my head looking down lol. so i will slowly be able to learn the moves. next time going to start off where i stopped the dvd, and build it up slowly. he was right, you do sweat! its quite a workout!

also i'm just about to order a yoga mat, as doing it on the carpet was uncomfortable.

i feel nice and relaxed now :)

have a super day girls!! Bring it! :cheer3:

pintobean 08-21-2009 08:14 AM

Jen, hope your abs feel better.
My quads/inner thighs are hurting as well from couple of the ab/core moves in ab ripper X. My whole core is sore where it hurts to cough and laugh. It will get better.

Thanks Echo and Michelle. Yesterday, it was one of those days where trying to finish my workout was not easy. Even though I realize the importance of exercise in my life I still struggle with it a lot and am hoping that hanging here in the exercise forum will just help me through these type of days.
Tonight - Weight training

Have a wonderful day everyone :)

hehe definately i will! :yoga: i've never done yoga before today either. i like how its meant to be good for your body to stretch it out. i still cant touch my toes when i bend over, but slowly i am getting closer! i've been practising stretching that for over a month now.

you should try it one day!! it's different , more calming and relaxing, but at the same time intense! you can feel the burn!!!

I like what Tony says, that at age 45, he can do what he can with his body, not because he can do so many press ups, but because he does yoga!

Onederchic 08-21-2009 11:56 AM

There's a yoga section on the Wii Fit and My Fitness Coach..maybe I will try one of those out for a bit :)

Onederchic 08-21-2009 05:28 PM

Thanks!

Okay, I have a question. The program is 3 days, full body. I did day 1 which consists of 10 exercises, 3 sets, 10 reps for most but 2. Doing those and a 3 minute jog warm up took me a total of 23 minutes...does that seem right or am I doing something wrong? Should it take longer? :S

devadiva 08-21-2009 06:16 PM

Echo
I didn't finish a week I DID THE WHOLE 90 DAYS ( without missing a day} and I did DOUBLES read about those in your p90x book. I have restarted the program and will probably do a HYbrid which means I will do the CLASSIC program and at least 2 -30 to 60 min cardios a day in ADDITION to p 90x program. Iam hooked on ABS so days I do not have ab ripper I do 30 min. of another ab workout. SORRY JUST A BIT PROUD I AM 57 !

This thread is to keep us accountable and keep us motivated and above all to keep us moving! All are welcome, and feel free to join the thread at any time. Some people post a goal for the month, some just keep track of what they do every day. It's not important how you do it, we just need to do it!!

The summer can't last forever, so et out there while you can! Grab your runners, your bike, your yoga mat, your friends, your family, your dog--and get out there and be active!

Hello,

I did 45 minutes today on my stationary bike, I cut back from 110 minutes as I was told I was overtraining. I was getting ammonia smelling sweat. But tomorrow I will try what they suggested, which is two 45 minute sessions a day, so I don't stress my body. :carrot:

Onederchic 08-21-2009 07:55 PM

Hi and welcome, IgetfitNStrongforme! :cheer2::cheer: Nice job on the workout and good plan too :). I do 3 - 30 minute cardio workouts for my routine 5 days a week plus 3 days I add full body weight strength :)

Just finished 30 minutes MFC.

Total today = 30 minutes TBL Cardio Max, 30 minutes free step, 30 minutes MFC, full body w/s :carrot:

I'm always curious about others workout regimes. Two questions for you-- what is MFC? And when you say you do 3, 30 minute routines-- how far apart do you do them? (and how do you find the time?). Impressive!!:carrot:
