So I'm ridiculous and totally teared up when I read Tuscany's post.

Everyone is doing so amazing!
Leah - got back into the 150s!
Garden - Met goal!
Stay - killing those 190s!

Such a great group of hardworking focused people.

Not too bad today because it was kind-of expected.

Awww...that's sooooo sweet, and certainly not ridiculous! Thank-you

And thanks to Joy, Jacqui, Stay Puft, bg and Pixi for your kind words and fireworks displays!

I'll be back in the morning with personals. A great evening to all!

Tuscany, I'm doing the happy dance for you too!!!! Way to go!!!!

Bg, I am most definitely still having that particular issue. I think I need to start doing a supplement of some sort too. I'm a little crabby tonight. That whole "losing weight is easy, eat less, move more" is a bunch baloney. So tonight i rebelled and had a slice of frozen pizza, 3 snack well cookies, and two tablespoons of semi sweet morsels. I'm not weighing again until Monday, today I was up! My hubby and I talked this morning because I feel like all this effort is for not. He gave me a very kind "stop looking at the numbers, remember your clothes are getting looser and eat more" spiel. He's being very supportive and truly loves me thick or thin.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Thanks, Lene!

I'm so sorry to see you struggling. I know how frustrating and de-moralizing that can be. FWIW, I struggled when I was in the low 170's. I stayed OP for 5 weeks and I just went up, down, up, down, up, down. I think I lost about 2 lbs over the whole time, although it was hard to see the loss, because I just kept going up half the time. It drove me nuts. Yet, one day, I just started losing again. I didn't do anything different. It was as if my body just didn't want to get below 170, but then it finally gave in.

In any event, I really hope you get some good results soon. Hang in there!

Tuscany, I'm really just having a bad day and letting the frustration of not getting anywhere bring me down. Thanks for sharing your 170 struggle with me. It gives me some hope that maybe one day things will start happening again.

You making it into the 140's is truly inspiring. Your daughter's mouth is going to fall open when she sees you next month!

I am not really sure what happened this week. I stayed on plan and drank at least 72 oz each day(thats more then I usually do) had a bit more exercise so I was looking forward to a good drop. But NOOO I have a gain. A small one but a gain none the less. Feeling a but discouraged now. Ill weight tomorrow but then I won't weigh again until next Friday. Had a weird cycle last month (almost 3 week long TOM) so if my body stays regular TOM should be coming Monday. But who knows. So heres hoping that for some reason I am retaining water.

I stayed OP so I figure yesterday must have not been accurate. I'm more than ok with it since the scale is moving in the correct direction overall.

Leah, that is a great drop. You can stay in the 150s!

pnkrckpixikat, evil pizza!

Turtle11, thanks. I'm just so happy the scale is moving since it really wasn't for almost a month.

bg124, 1.4 pounds in a week is a good amount. It's 4900 calories which is a LOT. I hope you feel proud of that. Look it makes this carrot dance -

lene1974, anytime someone says that "eat less, move more" or "eat fewer calories than you burn" I want to slap their face. Let's apply this thinking to other problems: Israel/Palenstine = "just get along"; Can't afford health insurance = "make more money"; kid failing math = "get better grades."

SouthernBell02, I know that pain. You just have to be stronger than the number on the scale. As hard as that is to do. It will happen.

Oh, yay! I dropped below my goal. I'm pleased with how well I did at a restaurant last night. I completely planned the meal from the on-line menu before we went and I focused on the conversation instead of the food which helped me follow my plan and not feel resentful about it.

Well, my 0.75 loss from yesterday decided to reverse itself! I had to get up really early this morning (about 5am), so I weighed myself several hours earlier than normal, which no doubt accounts for some of the apparent "gain"...the rest is just water. I WILL lose it again, and then some. This time around, I am deemed and determined to make my goal.

Turtle: Not to worry...you're still at your mini-goal #2 weight…so good job!

Lene: Feel free to share your frustrations…that's what we're here for, and it IS frustrating when you stay OP for weeks and see virtually no results. But there are so many variables that impact what we see on the scale. You just need to have faith that if you stay on plan, you WILL ultimately be rewarded, even though it might not seem that way at times. In any event, I really hope you see some movement in the near future...and I am keeping my fingers, toes, arms, legs and eyes crossed for you!

Joy: So wonderful to see you exceed your goal!

Stay Puft: I really laughed at your comments about George. I hope there will be many more Georges in your future! Not to worry about the recent "gain"…that's just a normal daily flucutation that will soon reverse...just as mine will.

bg: Hang in there! I firmly believe that if you continue to eat fewer calories than you burn, you will lose weight…but it won't happen automatically. That is, if you eat fewer calories on Tuesday, you won't necessarily see the loss on Wednesday...but you will see it eventually. Keep the faith!

Pixi: Here's hoping it doesn't take too long to recover from the pizza.

Leah: I hope your drop into the 150's sticks!

SouthernBell: If TOM is coming up, you're quite likely seeing water retention. You will also retain more water when you start exercising (or exercise more than normal). As Joy said, the scale will soon catch up with your actions.

Tuscany, yep, just water. No worries!

Bg, right! We are not giving up!

Turtle, you'll get there! I'm convinced you'll make goal this month!

Woohoo Joy! Great job!

Puft, let's chant together: 196, 196, 196!

SBell, don't let it get you down. It's just hormones causing you to hold on to water. I'm currently having the same issues, I believe.

Leah, congrats on the great drop!

Pixikat, we both need new (lower) numbers!

Hang in there, Lene!

So, I'm still at 199 today. I found out today that TOM decided to come visit for the 2nd time in one month. Being 52 is so fun, lol! TOM was late by 2 weeks last time, but not this time, so ta-da! Thanks TOM!

Well, this morning was disappointing. The scales went up again...despite my having behaved myself. All of my losses this week have now reversed. Picture me when I saw THAT on the scales!

Oh well, not to worry, this time around I WILL win this battle with the scales. I will stay OP come heck or high water and, ultimately, the pounds will come off again. With a bit of luck, perhaps I'll see some downward movement again tomorrow.

Good luck to everyone with their weigh-in this morning...hope yours is better than mine!

gardenerjoy, great job at the restaurant. And CONGRATS on reaching your goal.

Turtle11, 167 just wanted to say "howdy" since it knows soon you'll be leaving it behind and never see it again.

bg124, that is a HUGE calorie deficit. Glad you're going to shake things up. I think we have to do that sometime to outsmart the fat. It learns. It plots against us. And it is listening so be very quiet.

Tuscany, my weight really is just bouncing around. I'm just thrilled to have overall lost after weeks of no progress so I won't be complaining. We've got 1 week to go this month so you and I have time to have a nice downward bounce at the end.

Jacqui_D, 196, 196, 196! 2 TOMs in one month - extremely unfair. Maybe you'll whoosh when it is over.
