  • Pixikat, so glad your first day of class went well!

Leah, can't blame you! You're on a roll!

Joy, stress is a bugger when it comes to our bodies. It will indeed turn around!

Cheeri, yay on the drop! I'm sorry to hear you had a stessful day but a little bit of a cheat won't hurt. It sounds like you kept it under control.

Here you go, Bg: Dear Woosh Fairy, please come visit me very soon and then go see Bg. In fact, if you'd make the rounds in our little group here, I know we'd all appreciate it. And if it wouldn't be asking too much, if you could take a page from Santa's book and do it all in one night, like tonight or at least before August ends, that'd be excellent, thanks!

Turtle, my fingers are crossed for you!

SBell, oooo, I like the way you think! Skipping 196 altogether would work for me! Great job on the treadmill!!!! And you weigh in when you want. You are the boss of your scale! Lol! (Somebody needs to explain that concept to my scale.)
  • Pixi, Love your whole post!!
  • Hi Everyone!

Lots of changes for me the last couple of days. All 3 kids back to school (3 different schools) and all of them are heavily into extracurricular activities. Oy Vey!

Last Friday I decided I was going to up my calories on Saturday, no formal exercise, and not weigh myself over the weekend to see if I could shake things up. Saturday I very intentionally and deliberately ate (hold onto your seat) a 750 calorie Costco turkey pesto sandwich, a pulled pork sandwich, bacon cheese fries, 3 fried Oreos, a Tandy Cake, and 2 beers! I was so nauseated and felt like I had the flu most of Saturday night. Did that stop me on Sunday? No! I had an omelet, toast and home fries Sunday AM and Chinese for dinner. After eating all of that I expected to gain 5lbs on Monday AM instead it was 9ozs! I told Dh I need to try a formal diet instead of counting calories and he said he would do it too. We started the Shred diet Monday AM. I weighed in at 171.9 Monday and today (Thursday) I am at 168.4! I was working out so hard and making so many sacrifices regarding food and beverage the last almost 8 weeks and I did lose some weight but not nearly in proportion to my efforts. But 3.5lbs in the last 4 days?!?! Wahoo! So far we are very happy with this program and I'm hoping our success continues.

Tuscany, I see you made goal and are hanging in the 140's!! Congratulations!!! Thanks for thinking about me. I'm sorry I went MIA but you were right on about my reasons

    Have a great day!

Turtle: Go, Greyhound, Go!! I'm keeping my fingers, toes, arms, legs and eyes crossed that you get to at least 166 (maybe even 165!) by Aug 31. And you had better do it, because I'm pretty darn uncomfortable like this!

Stay Puft: You'll be back on the downhill slopes once TOM is over.

Joy: I felt the same way last week when I gained two days in a row, since there was no earthly reason for the gain…but it quickly reversed. Yours will too and you'll be back to goal my month end.

Pixi: To quote a very wise lady: "I'm sure your new low will hold, unless it goes down more". Glad you're enjoying your classes.

Jacqui: This is a message to Pound #197: "Get lost! Jacqui doesn't want you anymore. Why stay where you're not wanted? Find a new home with someone thin who's trying to gain weight. Then you will be loved."

cheeriloos: Awww…I hope you're not punished too harshly for your sins, and I hope you have a much less stressful day today.

bg124: You'll be back at goal any day now…I can feel it!

Leah: Good decision to keep doing what you're doing, because it seems to be working!

Tray: Glad you're feeling well enough to exercise again.

SouthernBell: Good for you…walking a mile on the treadmill! Let me tell you my treadmill story. When I first started my diet (about 6 months ago), I thought walking at 3.5 mph was REALLY fast. I could only walk at that speed for a minute or so at a time, and I then needed to slow things down to 2.8-3.0 mph. Each day over the past few months, I've challenged myself to walk a little bit further and a little bit faster. Last week, I walked for 1 hour and 25 minutes, covering 8.0 km (5.0 miles), which translates into an average pace of 3.5 mph. That speed no longer feels fast to me...it feels normal...while my former 2.8-3.0 now feels REALLY slow! So, moral of the story: keep it up...each week, challenge yourself to do just a little bit more and you too will be amazed at the results!

    Ugh.

Jacqui_D, felt less puffy today but remembered your post so I was able to prepare myself mentally that that wouldn't necessarily mean the weight was gone. We just have to hang on a little bit more.

pnkrckpixikat, glad to hear your first day went well!

LovelyLeah, you are having a great month!

gardenerjoy, stress is a problem. It can do odd (not in a good way) things to your body. Hope your MIL is better soon.

cheeriloos, making it through those 3 days of plateau is paying off now. Great job!

bg124, I intend to start a secret war against hormones. Shhh don't tell them.

Turtle11, I'll be hoping you get your 166 soon!

TrayTeam, I'm almost afraid to ask, but what is power cycling?

SouthernBell02, congrats on walking the mile. That is no small feat for those of us who aren't used to walking.

lene1974, I hope your success continues as well. You have to try things until you find what works for you. Hopefully you have found it.

Sum38, after a couple of amazing days I would guess a little bounce is expected.

Tuscany, YEAH!!! Big Congrats on reaching your goal. And a fabulous month for you!
  • I did it!!!!! 196 lbs today! Thank you all so much for the support you've given me! I haven't been out of the obese category in 4 years!

Lene! I'm so glad you're back! And wow!!! 3.5 lbs in 4 days and after an all-out cheat weekend?! Fantastic! And how nice the DH is doing it with you. Love it!

Tray, so glad you are back to exercising. Power cycling 1st day back after illness? Wow! Impressed!

Sum, don't let that bump up discourage you; you've been doing great!

Tuscany, on reaching goal!!! And thank you for the message to pound #197, lol! It worked!

Puft, oddly enough, I felt heavier today. I just knew last night that I felt heavier. Today, when I woke up I felt heavier, so I was pleasantly surprised to see I had lost a lb, a very important lb!

Did Bleu go on vacation this week?

Now I have to go change my ticker, add a little pink cheerleader, update my mini-goal, and change my profile weight! So exciting!
  • It's headed the right direction again!

    SW: 79.6kgs
