  • Joining really late as I've just rejoined the forum after having fallen off the diet wagon for a few years. And then getting run over by that wagon. Repeatedly.

    SW: 199.4 (August 20)
    GW: 198

    Not looking to lose a tremendous amount in what is left of August, but still want to see the scale moving. And by moving I mean lower weight, not throwing it across the room in frustration. Not that I would do that.

    gardenerjoy, congrats on breaking your upward trend and being so close to this month's goal!

    cheeriloos, I have a friend who also does great when she does the no bread, rice and pasta thing. Can't be easy so good job.

    Bg, oh I wouldn't be surprised if we start doing it again! We are already past 300 posts. Other challenge threads have 300 posts but they've been going on for months, lol! I love it! That just shows we are here for each other, sharing our experiences, rooting each other on. I know it inspires me so much to come on here and see what everyone has written each day, not just written to me but written to everyone. I not only get excited for me, I get excited for everybody here. It's great!

    Tuscany, how wonderful that your "skinny" clothes fit you again and you still have them!

    Muses, I don't post a list of all my days' weights, but I do post everyday and always mention how much I weigh (because I weigh each day). When I make goal, everyone will know it, lol! Here are my monthly stats:

    SW: 202
    GW: 196 (my first mini-goal)
    CW: 197 (a "usual" set point for my body)

    Leah, I hope the almonds make those no-lunch days more bearable, because you're right--it's happened to me--you don't notice at the time when you are so busy and miss lunch, but when that hunger hits, it can go out of control quickly.

  • Jacqui if only it was a real 3 lbs, it is from the water weight from eating out sat, still holding about another pound and a half of water if my current low is still accurate

  • Pixikat, oh, those lbs count, girlie! Haven't you heard? Water weight lbs count when you lose them, just not when you gain them, lol! Seriously, you could have gone off plan and you'd still be holding on to those lbs and more, but you've been staying OP and because of that, those lbs are coming back off, so yes, they do count! And now here's a dancing thing for you.

    It looks like my set point has kicked in, so right now I'm maintaining at 197. That's fine. Hopefully I'll get past it by the end of the month!
  • Great job Jacqui , I'm up .8 this morning , I think I know why...no veggies yesterday. Only half my water intake, and fried chicken..there wasn't much left in my defense. Today is shopping day so I will do better within the next few days.
