Tuscany - OMG, yes it's so hot and humid here right now. Temps are still over 100 degrees and very, very humid.
Pixicat - YES! I added recumbent bicycle routine to my normal 2 miles on the treadmill and weight routines, plus I added more upper body wt. I also at a Jr. cheeseburger (BAD, BAD, I know) on Wednesday night AND I had a tuna sandwich for lunch with baked lays chips. LOTS of sodium, so I understand the 1 lb. gain yesterday, but can't get why the 1.2 # today other than swelling. EVen though I had sodium I have not been over 1400 on any day and I work out 4-5 days a week. Just a little glitch I guess. I'm going to drink tons of water and green tea today and keep the sodium low.
Cincorn, sorry to hear you're retaining water, but at least it's water, and will flush out, instead of fat!
Bg, thanks! And hang in there! No doubt it's the PMS that is playing games with your weight.
Tray, glad you're feeling better!
Sum, hope the numbers start going down again!
SBell, congrats on the big drop on the scale and on the NSV! Sometimes we just get stuck for a week or two. It happens. Next month, you may drop, drop, drop!
Tuscany, you just killed it this month! So happy for you making goal and going beyond! And thanks for the talk to lb #196, lol! I'd love to see #195 soon!
Cheeri, I don't know what kind of voodoo you are using in your weight loss, but I need some sent my way! Lol! In LESS than a month, you have lost over 15 lbs! That's incredible! Great job!
Joy, you've done so well! Keeping my fingers crossed for you to get back to 78 even but you've already hit goal this month, extra water at the end or not!
Pixikat, no biggie, I hope you enjoyed your unplanned cheat meal! I'm a big advocate of cheat meals and cheat days now. I never used to be, and I always fell off the wagon because I couldn't last more than 6 months with how strictly I counted calories. I was such an all-or-nothing thinker that once I cheated, it was all over for me, at least until the next time I decided to diet. I'm not going that yo-yo route this time around!
Turtle, Yay! Congrats on meeting goal! C'mon 164!
Puft, nice drop back down!
I'm still maintaining 196! Happy about that!
Wow! We have about 450 posts this month! This has been one hopping thread! You ladies are so great, and I am thankful everyday that I came back to 3FC!
As the month ends, I most likely won't make goal (unless a giant woosh is in my future). But that's ok. Since I got knocked down for a week for illness, I think this is tremendous results.

Ha! Didn't get anywhere the first 3 weeks but have lost 4.9lbs since Monday! My official week one weigh-in for my new program is Monday so I'm excited to see how that goes.
Woohoo! 195 today! Thanks woosh fairy! That's a welcome drop just in time to give me a little leeway for cheat day today. I'm going to my 4-year-old niece's birthday party.
Tray, more than 6 lbs is a fantastic loss in one month! Good job!
Muses, since you still have all of today, I think you'd be able to use tomorrow's wake-up weight as your official August result, don't you think?
Bg, your weight gain is just water weight from PMS. You can't control that. In my opinion, you made goal! (Do I get a vote?)
The final tally is in and I lost 9.5 lbs in August...woohoo! Now looking forward to September and hoping that I can at least maintain while I'm in Europe, plus lose a bit in the weeks I'm home!

Turtle: You gotta weigh in soon. I can't stand the suspense! Plus I need to start un-crossing stuff. People are giving me funny looks!
Lene: YIPPEE! I'm SO happy to hear you've finally found your solution. September is now your month to conquer!
Joy: I hope you get back to goal! I'd love to see your soy recipe…always looking for new ways to cook veggies. Not to worry, I'll be participating in the September challenge. I likely won't be able to post much while away..but I'll be right back at it when I'm home.
Jacqui: I too love this thread…we have a great bunch of "losers" here and the daily accountability is very motivating! Ooo...I just saw your post...195...woohoo!!!
Pixi: At least you stayed in the 240's! It sounds like you're working toward a Psychology degree. I did some Psychology courses when I was in University (although my major was business). I did a major paper on Jean Piaget and his work on cognitive development in children…fascinating stuff!
Stay Puft: Despite the recent gains, you've lost almost 4 lbs in 10 days…that's fabulous progress!
Tray: Given your current weight, your goal of a 10 lb loss was very ambitious…so, even though you likely won't make goal, I'd say you've had a terrific August, especially considering your illness.
bg124: Awww…I'm sorry to hear that. Just stay OP and the scale will co-operate soon!
cheeriloos: Holy smokes…you're like a runaway train!
Cincorn: Given the humidity and your exercise, I've no doubt this is just water. I never worry about water weight…it's a pain, because it masked the real weight loss…but it flushes out soon enough.
muses: Congratulations on a good month…you'll get rid of that pesky 0.5 lbs soon enough!
So I was weighing myself this morning and it was fluctuating between 165.2 and 165.4. I was like.... "no way" So I noticed that I still had a few articles of clothing on (I leave a few on) and discarded them. Got back on and it was 165.0! - Tuscany, you can uncross everything but just for a little while... I hit my 7 lbs
Great job everyone this month! I'm getting dirty looks from my husband because I'm posting and not packing for our trip to the cabin. So can't do personals, but I just want everyone to know I'm so happy to be part of this group and I'll see everyone in September

I found the sauce recipe for our greens dish -- I put it up on my blog a few months ago: http://www.joyweesemoll.com/2012/11/...ekend-cooking/
Lately, I've been substituting PB2 for half the peanut butter. I can't get rid of all of the peanut butter because the starch needs some fat to thicken the sauce.
Still up from the sodium the last couple days, I am going to use Thursday's low as my end of month weigh in so I lost 4.2 lbs. I am trying to be happy with the number as it is so much better then gaining, and it is an even pound per week, but I can't help but think if I had been more on task and ate out less (even when it was OP) that I would have made it closer to my 10lb goal since in the past I have lost 8-10 lbs per month when mostly OP.
Apparently my body plans on bouncing around here for a bit. There are worse places to bounce.

I know you weren't talking to me, but knowing this and the fact I live in Florida may mean I'm not even obese, perhaps I'm just permanently, severely bloated.
Jacqui_D, congrats on the 195!!! You and I are going to make some great progress in September. Hello 180s prepare for our arrival.
TrayTeam, still a great month! Congrats!
muses, that's a great loss for less than 2 weeks!
lene1974, good luck on your weigh-in.
Tuscany, what a fantastic month for you! Great job!
LovelyLeah, 6.5 loss is a wonderful month. Way to go!
Turtle11, congrats on making goal!! Enjoy your cabin.
cheeriloos, if you are going to hold steady for a couple of days, that nice new low number is the one to do it at.
gardenerjoy, I'll have to check out your blog. I'm trying to learn to cook more so more recipes would be a good thing. Made grouper for first time last night.
pnkrckpixikat, eating out worries me as there is no control over what is in the food. We'll just have to show September who's the boss.
Well, I still did it, made my goal for the month! Weighed in early today to post for the last day of the month. This last week has not been awesome, but I have been sick (I still am) and am really lacking energy. I've weighed in daily a lot this week actually, because of the being sick. Just to see if I had found a good balance between sticking to my diet and also being good to myself because I didn't feel well.
