Well, today is mixed good and bad news. The good news is that I have lost a little water so I am down a half-pound to 198.5. The really good news is that it's my only grandchild's 1st birthday! Also, I saved cheat day for today so I can have cake. The bad news is that I woke up with a cold sore for the first time in over a year, and I won't be able to kiss him on his first birthday! Grrrr.

I really think that this is just the delayed loss from earlier in August and July during which time I only lost 1 lousy pound. So I hope it isn't a fluke and sticks around since at the beginning on August my goal was to be at 195 (which was a reasonable 4 lb loss for the month).
Going to stick with the plan even though it means I need to eat some extra calories today since I've been on the lower calorie side for a couple of days.
gardenerjoy, I find it so much easier to eat at home.

I can not wait for this month to be over; it has been non stop gain I have been OP for 3 days (LOL) but scale jumped another 2 pounds upwards. Stay Puft: Great progress over the past week! As for the importance of weighing yourself at the same time: I find I weigh less if I'm up late and I tend to weight more if I'm up early…but it needs to be a few hours earlier or later than normal before I notice a difference.

Congrats, Puft! Oh, there are no flukes on the way down. You can't weigh less than you actually weigh. It's the water weight fluctuating upward that is deceiving. That's not real fat. That's just your body trying to adjust to the fat loss! And thank you on the birthday wishes for my grandbaby. He is just the most adorable thing and he was so good yesterday, even with a big crowd of relatives there.
