Sum38: posting in my normal places at 3FC is the best thing I do for myself when things aren't going well. Eventually, something falls into place. Hugs!

I had a bakery treat for breakfast yesterday. The calories may have been higher than I expected and I'm sure the sodium was way out of whack compared to the way I normally eat. I went back to normal with lunch and I seem to have escaped the triggering effects of that sort of activity. That's one advantage of improved eating most of the time for such a long time -- now, the rare treat feels rare and special and doesn't set me on a path of cravings like it did at the beginning of this journey.

I still weighed 197 yesterday morning when I woke up, but yesterday was cheat day and I went to a potluck with friends. Ooh man, did I eat! I still feel icky! Got on the scale this morning and I weight 199 again, lol! But this is how this diet is supposed to go, so I'm not worried about it. I just don't feel like eating anything today! I never thought I'd be happy to go back to dieting, lol!

Oh no, Lene! Well, I'm glad you found out about that sleep aid. You could have been frustrated for months otherwise! The question is, will you be able to sleep without it?

I know you will be making your goal this month, Joy!

Hi Cheeriloos I don't know what your goal is for August, but wow! You are doing great this month!

Hey all! DH's check came in yesterday so we went out for our cheat meal. OMG it was soooo worth the calories (but only as a once in awhile sort of way lol) I probably went a little over matinance. I'm sure the scale will be mean for a few days, but I am drinking extra water and adding lemon in hopes that helps.

So I found that one of the reasons that my weight loss is going pretty well this time around is because I am not weighing everyday. I used to feel discouraged when everyday I would get on the scale and there would be either nothing or a gain. So I weigh weekly....except for yesterday. I weight at 10pm usually since that is my morning (night shifter) We had gone to lunch as a family and I had a burger, I took the top bun off with half of the aioli on it. I went up 3 pounds!!! How horrible!! I have GOT to stop weighing myself after cheat days!!

Lol, SouthernBell, I always tell myself that I'm not going to weigh after cheat days and I always do, but fluctuations in the scale don't bother me if I know I am following my plan, and I am. I'm glad weighing yourself once a week is working out better for you!

Cheeriloos, I can't wait until I have to buy new panties, hahaha! Do you have a goal weight that you hope to meet for the month of August, or are you just winging it this month and seeing how far you get? I am hoping to hit 196 lbs, which is also my first mini-goal. I always seem to get stuck at 197 though, so we'll see! I'm on a different diet than I've ever tried before, so it should be interesting!

Pixikat, I'm in your same boat after a cheat meal and it really is just water. No worries!

JaquiI guess I would have been happy if I were forced to buy new ones because my but got smaller, lol,I had to get bigger ones since250 was my new high this month! Lol

I'm still pushing to the end of the month for as much as I can get off, but my goal was 10 lbs. But I had so much water weight, that it came of pretty quick.

What program are you following?
