Such a strange week. I went up 3 lbs then back down 3.6 for a total net weight loss of .6 lbs in the past week. And that is if it sticks.


lene - Your back!! Congrats on the new program, sounds like it is working. And oreos... hmmmm, I might have to switch to your plan.

Tuscany - sorry you are so uncomfortable, but you may have to stay like that. It looks like your 140s are unsticking and the normal BMI is here to stay

jacqui - Congrats!! Getting past those setpoints are sooo tough and out of the obese cat.!

Stay - it'll come off once TOM is over. I know I bloat a LOT.

Tray - awesome job on the cycling. Do you do that at a gym?

Garden - Your so close again! I get so confused with kg. What is the conversion?

cheeriloos - amazing job. Dancing is so fun and it burns a ton of calories!

BG - thanks for all the support. I know this coming weekend is going to be tough with the BBQs.

Pixi - GL eating out tonight. Glad your sodium weight is leaving

southern - congrats on the treadmill mile, I try to do 1.25 miles a day, but sometimes I get on there and I'm jamming to good music, and I'll get 2 miles! Good luck over the weekend

Feeling even better today after the bout with sinus-city. I was definitely a little after power cycling yesterday (not the best choice but it definitely got me up and going). Today I just punished my muscles with ballet barre.

Good Morning All! I hope everyone is having a great Friday so far. I weighed last night and was happy with the results. Down another 2.4! Didn't make goal this month but thats ok. I also had another NSV yesterday I walked 2 miles on the treadmill!!! Found that if I watch one of my shows like Dexter or Ray Donavan then I can make it through

Lost 4.7 pounds! Missed my goal of 8 lbs by 3.3 pounds. But for some reason I had two weeks of very little loss or a gain. Not sure why but next month will be better

I had another small (0.25 lb) loss this morning, so I'm pretty sure I'm now out of the 150's. Indeed, I have changed my ticker to reflect a new mini-goal. I'm SO happy with my August results. I really wanted to do well this month, since it will get more difficult from here. Next month, I'm in Europe from Sep 8-21 and, when I return, I go back to work (I've been off work throughout August, taking accumulated vacation time). When I'm back at work, I won't have as much time to exercise and, going forward, my weight losses will no doubt slow down. But that's fine, because I'm now at a weight where I feel great and I'm happy with how I look (although there's still room for improvement ).

Tray: No doubt your body is retaining water to help with the healing process now that you've started to exercise again. That gain will reverse before you know it.

bg124: A 200 calorie increase wouldn't cause a 2.4 lb gain, so I'm sure what you're seeing is just a case of the scales being uncooperative. Give them a stern lecture and show them who's boss!

Stay Puft: Poor you…I'm so glad TOM is a thing of the past for me. Here's hoping the whoosh fairy pays you a nice visit soon!

No change and that was with soy sauce last night -- there's hope that I'll get back to my goal weight tomorrow!

Turtle11: I use Google for the conversion. Did you know that Google is a calculator? Try typing 2+2 in it. It's also a conversion calculator. I put in "78.3kgs in lbs" and it answers with 172.622. Just a little librarian trick there. But if you want to do it by hand or in your head, multiply the kgs by 2.2 to get pounds.

bg124: I believe you! I've been doing great this month, too. And, for a few days, the scale rewarded me. Oh well. That scale will catch up with our good actions sooner or later.
Yeah, I should put up my favorite recipe that uses soy sauce. It's worth it because it gets us to eat a mountain of cooked greens. We eat often eat it twice a week.

Tuscany: Cool that you're going to Europe. I did fine on my Europe trip -- reasonably careful at meals, skipped snacks, and walked a lot. I came back a pound up. And then, the trouble started. So I recommend that you do anything you can now to set structures in place that will make it easy to get back on plan when you get home -- including getting right back to our challenge threads!

Tuscany This semester I am taking Behavioral Neuroscience, Abnormal Psychology, The Psychology of Communication, and Literature of Fantasy: The Anime of Miyazaki.

cincorn Did you eat anything super salty? Or change your exercise up? It definitely is some sort of water weight, I'm sure it'll go away soon just drink lots of water or green tea to help it along

I wasn't as good at dinner last night as I was hoping to be we went to a mexican restaurant. I was good on the sides, but couldnt resist the steak fajita chimichanga. Oh well ate light all day so was still at least within maintenance cals. Now the sodium fluctuation begins lol

I can barely believe it, on Monday I was over 3 lbs from goal and today I even saw 164.8 flickering! I'm going to try and be very clean today and drink lots of water so it sticks for the end of month

Has it been particularly humid where you are? That often causes water retention, along with bloated/swollen fingers and toes.
