I'm so excited because I saw a pretty big drop in the scale Saturday down to 178.4. Of course I was back up yesterday & today, but I seem to get a pretty big drop in the scale for one day (I call it a sneak peek) about 4-5 days before it seems to stick. I would be so happy to get away from the 182-180 range. I've been here for almost a month. Ugh!
I'm about ready to start week 4 of my ripped in 30 DVD & can tell my jeans are getting looser, even if the scale doesn't agree. I do love that DVD. Once I finish week 4 I'm going to take a break from it for about 2 weeks before I try it again. The first time I had to do mostly all the easier versions & I'm looking forward to seeing how far I've progressed.
This is the last day of the extended weekend! Hubby got the back porch painted, and is working on putting the cast iron railing back up. I planted my tomato plants in some black plastic pots {like the trees come in} that we found left at the recycling place. I have a few more pots so I thought I'd try green beans. I got some shopping done but not the grocery shopping.
The lady who started the Bible study class I attend passed away last week. She was in her 90s and had started a Bible study in her assisted living center also. Her daughter is our Childern's Ministry Leader and her GD attends the class along with her children.

Have done very well the last couple days. Went for a 2 mile walk. Was beat afterwsrds because there was so much uphill but it felt good to do something. Going to start my workout dvd's tomorrow. From this point on I must exercise everyday. In the fall I exercised every day and looked forward to it. I am trying to get into that mood again but its hard.
I had an agility trial with one of my dogs this weekend. I never drink enough water, eat too much stuff that isn't good for me, and get totally exhausted by the end of the weekend. And my and my little furry friend have a wonderful time (o:
I will say that since I am almost 40 pounds lighter than I was during the last trial, I was able to run faster, and I was a lot less winded after each run. So, that to me was very exciting. Also, my shins didn't hurt me at all, and they aren't hurting today either. Improvements that I totally wasn't expecting!
Okay, so I thought I posted in this thread a few days ago, but apparently not. I definitely want to get in on this challenge. I need some serious motivation and longer term goals will surely help!!
My name's Jess and my goal is to be in onederland by the fourth of July. It will be a huge stretch, but that's my ideal goal. I'll be happy with 205, however. That may be more realistic given my weight loss trends.
I haven't been checking in here this week as I'm crazy busy with exams and preparing for a cross-country move on Friday, but I'm so glad to see so many people are checking in. Way to go!
Had a pretty decent loss this week and I'm so excited to get into the 150s. Have been confined to my computer most days studying, and haven't been eating quite as well as I should but I am managing to get in my 30 minute C25K or Jillian Michaels routine pretty much every day. Last week I did my first non-stop 20 minute run. I could not have imagined doing that 6 weeks ago - exciting!
I have a 8-day car trip coming up (yes, we're driving across the country), so am going to have to plan plan plan to avoid eating junk, and to try to find a way to fit in some exercise. As long as I don't slide backwards I'll be happy.
Get to goal & stay there!

Wow! This thread really took off. Looks like everyone is doing very well.
I haven't weighed in since Easter, but my jeans are fitting better, so I know somethin' good is happening. I'll probably weigh in this coming Saturday.
For those who've been with me from the last few challenges, you know that I am struggling with my weight lately. Diets that used to work for me in my 20s and 30s are not even making a dent now.
What I'm doing now is taking a breakfast here, a lunch there, etc... from my 3 favorite Woman's World diets that I've torn out over the years. It seems to be working...AND...I love it. I have a big sweet tooth but am able to contain it with the few treats I get each day following this mix and match diet. I'm also getting lots of fruits, veggies, lean protein, dairy and a little bit of complex carb, too. We shall see on Saturday if I'm not imagining I'm losing weight or not. Hopefully my jeans will be even looser by then.

I've missed you, too, Vicki. I've just been really busy and trying not to spend half the day on the computer like I used to. Sometimes I go through computer withdrawls though.
And look at you! You are doing amazingly well!! I'm so proud of you.
Wow! What a busy & active bunch we have here. It seems like everyone is staying op & losing. Yay! I was under 180 again today & I'm hoping it sticks for my weigh in day tomorrow. I've been stuck in the 180's for way too long. I'm feeling very motivated again, which is good because while I've been staying mostly OP & exercising, I haven't had the I can do this feeling in a while. It's been the I'm trying to do this. Ha!
Sandy, I'm glad you're feeling better about your plan. Maybe not weighing yourself for a bit is the best thing. It will give your plan a chance to work before you give up. What's your WI plan? Once a month?
Vicki, at the rate you're going you may need to reset your goal for the challenge! Wow! Keep it up chickie.
Roncy, be sure to pack up some good snacks & maybe even a couple of not so good snacks in the right portion size. It's going to be hard with not being able to cook for 8 days, but you can do it, you just need to make sure you plan for it. Your loss has been so steady. Good luck on the move.
Fiyah, it looks like you've maintained as you were supposed to. Did you get the ok to go back to losing from your doctor? Agility training sounds like fun. What kind of dog do you have?
Since Hubby finished the trim on the bathroom window I decided to make curtains {we've been using a towel}. Seven-ish years ago, when we moved in I bought 15 yards of a cheap beige fabric to make curtains for the living/dining rooms. I made valences {which have since been replaced} but I still have some fabric left. So I found the correct fabric and pulled some off to hold up and see what it would look like before I got started. I pulled some off and unfolded it to discover its a curtain!! So I grabbed the second piece off the top and its the other 'half' of the curtain. So we hung them up! They are all wrinkled and need to be shortened but they are great. I don't remember making them, but I can only guess I made them for the dining room?? Easiest curtain sewing job ever!
Is it too late for me to join? I really need some motivation. We just moved. This will motivate me to find my scale in all the boxes! A new start with a new house.
Well, I forgot to weight yesterday morning (extra sleepy after only 3 hours of sleep), so I did it today. So, my progress is:
9/4: 105.1 kilos
17/4: 104.8
It's a small drop, but I am still happy, since I had put on a bit of weight (couple kilos) because of a couple days of very bad eating + PMS. Also, I have tendinitis (got it diagnosed on Thursday), so no exercise has been possible
