My weigh-in is on Thursday, and I am dreading it!! I was so bad this past weekend. We went to visit the in-laws and there is NOTHING for me to do there. I get bored and eat everything in sight. She doesn't know what "diet food" is so there is nothing healthy there. I even packed a bunch of healthy snacks for myself, but caved on more than one occasion. I have to get my mindset back, and I have lost it the past 2 weeks.
I was able to try walking yesterday for the first time in a month and my ankle didn't swell after doing 2 miles at lunch. So that felt really good. It is supposed to rain today so I guess I will be stuck inside tonight with the elliptical.
I get so mad at myself, because this is what always happens. I get to the weight that I am at now and I get "comfortable" and am not as strickt as I need to be and can NEVER break below the 160 mark. I even have my formal dresses for the cruise hanging up in my bedroom to keep me motivated as well as pictures from 10 years ago when I weighed 130 pounds taped to everything in the kitchen. Nothing is working!! A big kick in my butt is needed from everyone to get me back on track I don't think the fact that TOM is coming is helping much right now either....grrr!!
Jordana: You can so totally rock losing 10 pounds by July 4th!! That is a very reasonable goal of 5 pounds a month, very healthy!!
Miatutu: I hear ya about a few difficult days. I am gonna try and turn that around starting today. I went out and restocked on my healthy foods last night. We can do this!!
Haven't been able to get online at work for the last few workdays. I've been crazy busy & not able to screw off Ha! Poor me! Anywho, I've been keep on track except for a samall derailment on cinco de mayo. Dang mexican food & margaritas! It's sooo hard to resist! But, other than that little slip up I've been 100% on plan, getting my exercise & eating OP, so I'm not going to kick myself too hard.
WI is tomorrow & I'm hoping I can recover from the 5th of May by then.
Just weighed myself (not at my usual time, though), as I was curious to see if the diet for the intestinal trouble had made me put on weight (since I have had to eat more carbs than usual) and I seemed to have lost a pound, and that makes me happy Not counting it in my schedule, though, as I didn't do it in the proper conditions.
TOM is due this week, so my weight might fluctuate a bit. Will take note of that, probably.
Well, WI Wednesday a pound down. Yay! I'm so glad to see whole pounds! The past four weeks have been great losses for me (besides the TOM, but I lost 3 the following week). I was only getting weeks of .2 & .4 for the longest time. I think I've figured out what's helping me & I'm happy to share my little secret.................. Water! And tons of it!
My exercise & eating habits haven't really changed much, but for the past few weeks I've been drinking a ton of water, well, maybe not a ton, but at least 5 16.9 ounce bottles each day. So if you're feeling stuck, give it a try. I'd be interested to know if anyone else feels like it helps.

I think it absolutely does... as does a good nights sleep. I have been staying up until 2am for a variety of reasons lately. My dogs wake me up at 7am without fail. So I will feed them, use the restroom, have a bite to eat, and watch a little news before going back to bed. And somewhere in there, I often step on the scale. Then I go back to bed, sleep another 3-4 hours and get up and do my official weigh in and start my day. Well the 2nd weigh in is often 1-2 lbs lower than the early morning weight, even with eating breakfast.
Fiyah, you're 5 little pounds away from goal number 2! You've come so far!
Kim,
Thanks. It means so much to have someone notice (brings a person to tears sometimes). I've spent so long overweight, and not able to be successful at any weight loss program that I've tried. Losing and being able to maintain that... there just aren't words. Every single day I am finding something else that is too big, that I couldn't do just a couple of months ago, just daily discoveries. Like yesterday, I realized that I could cross my legs (man style) without having to grab my pantleg and pull it up the last few inches. It's amazing, but when you are as big as I was, it really does take a lot of weight for people to casually notice.
I don't post often, but read everyone's posts. You are all an inspiration! Thank you ALL! Because whether you know it or not, you have helped me get to where I am, and I know you will continue to get me to where I want to go.

Fiyah: Congrats! I see you also use a rewards system for each goal! I got myself two pretty hairclips as a reward for all the weight loss, and I think I will be getting myself a nice owl pendant I saw for when I reach my first goal. Or maybe some new perfume
kandd416 Thank you! It seems I am maintaining now, which I also find pretty amazing (seeing as how I actually feel so bloated. I am definitely loving my diet plan Hope you have had a good weekend!
Hi everyone. Hope all is well with everyone. Haven't been on much or posting much. Weight hasnt been going in the right direction either. Tom is here and I dread getting on scale tomorrow. Started ripped in 30. Today will be day 3. I am sore as all getout but I am doing it. I might hold off on weighing tomorrow. I don't know. My husband is leavings for 2 weeks and I hope I don't stress eat. Anyhoo everyone keep up the great work
Fiyah, I was on another challenge with you before this one & I know how hard you've worked for everyone of those 45 pounds you've lost. I admire your dedication & great attitude. I bet you everyone that sees you will start noticing very soon.
Mrs. C, you've had some huge numbers in the past few weeks, you definitely shouldn't worry about one week of no loss. You're obviously doing some right keep it up.
Melissa, I just finished Ripped in 30 at the end of April. I loved it! Of course I did have to do the modifier on most of the exercises. I seem to have very little arm strength. In the beginining I couldn't even do 5 of the girlie pushups, but at the end I was able to crank out 25-30 in a one minute period. I'm doing some TaeBo for a month then going back to Ripped & going to try not to do the modifiers as much. Have fun!
Went ahead and weigh in this morning. Was up 1 pound. Not bad considering TOM is here and my eating hasn't been great. Day 4 of ripped in 30. Not as sore today thank goodness.
@Kandd416: I do a lot of modified too. I have never had upper body strength. Looking forward to seeing what I can do at the end of 30 days.
