I weighed myself today and am down .4 from yesterday. Of course, one day past my "official weigh in" Ha!
I've been good all this week about keeping my calories low & getting my exercise in. I'm trying to get back on track instead of kinda doing it. I just don't know why I seem to have lost my motivation. But I'm trying to get re-motivated. I'm hoping having a really good week will give me that spark, so I'm trying to be 100% & make it happen.
*sigh* Sick again! Also, I ended up falling off the wagon today (partly due to sickness). I have been extremely faint all day, and I suspect I didn't get enough food at breakfast and lunch. When I got home after work + extra hours doing grading (including a doctor visit), I felt as if I would actually faint, so I ate more than I should (no sweets or candy, at least!). Went to work again, and when I came back, I was starving, so I ended up actually having dinner (again, not very unhealthy food, but not what I should eat ).
The fact that this is the first really cold thing of the autumn is probably not helping at all!
Going to go back into my diet properly tomorrow and try to control my portions better.
Curvy, congrats on Onederland. Woohooooooo! Such a big milestone.
Teacher, that's exactly the attitude. Just because you slipped doesn't mean you should quit. You keep going girl.
I'm pretty happy because I saw a pretty sizeable whoosh on the scale today. I'm just hoping it sticks until my official weigh in on Wednesday. I guess eating a little lower on my calories does help.
I started my Ripped in 30 dvd for the second go round after taking a month off to do TaeBo. I'm pretty happy to say that it is way easier than it was the last time. I only had to modify one or two exercises. Darn nonexistent ab muscles!
kandd416 Yup, that's true! Congrats on your progress!
crazygurl61 Yay, way to go!
So, my sister's birthday party was today and I behaved relatively well. Following what my diet allows for these situations, I ate some protein with my soup and veggies (bit of ham, low fat cheese and a bit of chicken). I had planned to only eat my usual, but it was extremely hard not to be tempted by the tons of tasty food, so I did some allowances within my diet. It's a pity it's so close to my weigh in, but I guess I can survive a week of not losing!
On better news, I finally was able to wore a nice blue tartan flannel shirt I bought back in 2010 (and a red one, too), when I was several kilos fatter than now (probably between 18-20 kilos!). I had never been able to wear them because it was too tight on my breasts and shoulders, and now, thanks to my shrinking on the upper part, I am able to wear it :3 (not that happy about the smaller breasts, though ).
Teacher & Crazygurl, great job on the weight loss. I love seeing you guys make progress. It helps keep me motivated.
I started my Ripped in 30 dvd again last Thursday & on Friday I could barely walk. Ha! It seemed so much easier. But I did it again on Saturday, being still sore I didn't do the squats or lunges quite as low & felt much better on Sunday.
I've really watched my calorie intake this week & I'm hoping to see 1-2 pounds on the scale on Wednesday's WI. I got tired of whining about my little weight losses & decided to just do what I know needs to be done if I want to see bigger numbers. Eat less. Duh! But you ladies seem to know that.
Hi everyone. So glad to see everyone is sticking yo it. I fell of the waging for about ten days. My husband went out if town two weeks in a row and the second week just got to be to much with the kids and baseball and who ties here and there. So I let myself go. Back on the exercise bandwagon and trying to get the eating turned around as well. Will weigh in tomorrow to see what the damage is.
kandd416 Like you said to me, that's the attitude! Good luck with the work out! The first times are hard, but then it becomes so much easier
miatutu Yay for trying to get back on track
The eating of the past three days has finally kicked on me (not eating so much, more like having several things I don't usually eat because they hurt my digestive system). Among the offending things, I had tomato sauce (with onions and garlic), mayo, chocolate cake (gluten free, and delicious), plus the orange juice I had been drinking since Thursday to try and get rid of my cold...and today I decided to have a coffee (to close the day of food exceptions)...my body answered in the way of a (thankfully) mild IBS attack *sigh*...guess I can consider this a blessing despite the pain, as it tells me to stop :P
Well, sigh, lol. I have been incredibly busy since Thurs evening when we loaded trailers with all the equipment and stuff needed for the agility trial. Friday we unloaded and set everything up. Sat busy from 6am til well after 8pm, and the judges chose italian for dinner \o: It's really hard to watch your carbs at an italian restaurant. Then Sun 6am til I think 7pm. Did not eat right all weekend, did not drink enough water even for a normal day, much less a busy, active, outdoor day. And I started a period today. End result is that I have regained a week's worth of loss in 4 days )o: I was a little little shocked to see +6.2 lbs on the wii this morning. I know this is where I pick myself up, dust myself off, and start all over again. Just a little depressing that I have to \o:
Oh well, nowhere to go but on, right? So, here I go. Food planned for today and hopefully things will get back on track quickly... I'm officially back in maintenance, so I am supposed to maintain my weight in the range of 266.5 to 270.5... doc is not going to be happy with me at weigh in this week *shrug and grimace*.
I weighed in today at 175.4. Down 2.2 pounds from last week! Woohoo! I was really good all of last week. I kept my calories down from what I usually eat & worked out 4 times. So I knew I would see some movement, but I was very excited to see this much. I'm just going to have to keep being good if I want to hit my goal of 170 for this challenge. And I'm going to do it darn it!
Melissa, get right back in that wagon. You can do this.
Teacher, I hope you're feeling better. Hugs to you.
Fiyah, I wouldn't worry to much about a gain, especially if it's TOM & you've just eaten a bunch of carbs you're not used to. Both can make you retain water. With that & you not drinking much water I bet your body's just holding it. Get back on track with your eating & I bet next week's WI will show you in the maintenance range.
I don't think I signed up for this challenge, but I have been MIA from this site for awhile and really need some accountablility. I have been so busy with school, work, and being sick. I have gained all my weight back.
I really did not want to gain it back I wanted to loose and be able fit in some smaller sizes for summer I cant blame anyone but myself. I am tired of yoyoing with my weight. I am soooo ready to be in onderland. I'm sorry for being so negative, but I have to get all this off my chest before it blows up....
I hope everyone is having a good spring/summer. I am sooo ready for some beach and sun without all life stress...
Thanks everyone for the encouragement. I have been exercising. My eating is quite perfect yet but that has more to do with needing groceries than anything. Don't get paid until Monday so I am just trying to do the best with what I have. If I can manage to get back on track I hope to lose a few more pounds this month.
