dancerindenver: I'm with you on the 5 days OP. Yesterday being day one, right? I've actually been several days OP so far and have a very specific plan until Friday night. My mom and I are going to a Girl's Night Out (featuring a comedian and chocolate). I'm not sure the nature of the presentation of the chocolate. I may be able to easily resist or just consume a small amount, either would be OP. I'll have to let ya know how that goes.

eclipse-Yay on getting back down!

I'm glad to hear some of you enjoyed your Easter celebrations and were able to stay OP or at least recover well from the little indulgences. I was pretty pleased with how I handled both the meal and the candy all weekend. I ate a modest plate and 1 serving of the dessert for Easter dinner, then had a few pieces of candy without going overboard. Yesterday we went to the science museum with the kids (we all had a great time!) and ate there, and I made good choices even leaving myself room for an evening snack without damage to my progress! Basically, I'm thrilled with how the weekend worked out. Friday wasn't exactly OP, I went just a bit overboard at my parents'. So, since Saturday I've been pretty much OP. YAY!
Today is my first day doing a 1200 cal plan for most of the next 2 weeks to refresh my efforts. The beauty is that it's incredibly filling and tasty, so no deprivation. Then I go to roughly 1500 cals after that which will be about the perfect weight loss calorie zone for me. I'm pretty pumped to see that I was already getting results from using some of the principles of this program before I actually started. Now that I'm doing it for real, I'm curious to see what will happen.
I'm at 137.4 today which is a wonderful number in that I spent most of March fluctuating around the 138-139 range. Here's to getting to 136.something tomorrow!

Down to 236.8 today, so I lost almost 2 lbs since yesterday - all water, I'm sure, but this is still the lowest weight I've seen since I was on the way up! If I knock that .8 out, I'll be at a 50lbs total loss!

I thought I'd check in. Even though my official weigh day is Friday, I do weigh myself daily to get a quick peek. I've been doing extraordinarily well.

On Friday I was 149... And I was "heavy" 149 if you know what I mean. I wanted to be 149, so I sort of fudged the scale by being a little dehydrated at weigh in.

But today and I'm hydrated, I weigh 147.5.

Whoo hoo.

My vow to exercise 60 minutes a day was too much, too soon. I was so sore from the weekend, I could barely walk. So now, I am allowing myself to count walking as exercise. I'm walking about 3 miles a day on top of running. I live three miles from my work so I've started walking home from work. With the weather so nice, it's been fun.

P.S. What I mean about not counting walking is that I don't have a car and it's normal for me to walk a couple of miles a day. Walking is great exercise, but not a workout for me.

MsP: good for you on your new motivation and your new plan. You are going to get right back where you want to be. Once you really figure out the maintenance thing, hopefully you can put it on autopilot and just enjoy it.

Dancer: I drank more wine than was on plan last night and went over by 125 calories, but I'm okay with that, and am still going to call it on plan. Cheaters always win...

motivated chickie: I was very impressed with your vow to exercise 60 minutes every single day. Well, honestly, I thought you were nuts--but only because I know I could never do it! The worst thing you could do is OVERdo it and injure yourself.

eclipse and liverpool sue: good going.

I'm at 184.8 today, and am about to have that monthly visitor arrive. I'm not worried--I'm feeling like I already did the water retention and bloating for this month. I'm really liking all the positive energy in this thread. I think we're going to kick some April weight-loss booty! (are those M&Ms?)

Good Afternoon Everyone!

I need to make it a regualr habit of checking in daily even if I dont post. I had 4 pages of posts to catch up on lol. But Im still on track for my goal of posting weekly.

Staying OP has been a little rough the past few days. DH and I have been having some problems and Ive recently realized that when that happens I either eat nothing at all or I go out to eat and have something that doesnt really satisfy me.

Im back on track though, DH is deployed and it has been a really bumpy road. We're almost done though and I cant wait for him to be back home. DH has never seen me at any other weight than my current weight so Im excited to see his reaction (we have about 2 months before that will happen though).

Out of curiosity are most of yall counting calories? Im just trying to eat really clean. I know I lose weight better when I count calories but I tend to get OCD about it and wont eat unless I know the calories of everthing and sometimes thats not always doable.

I'm with you, SugarRox, all those posts are hard to catch up to when you're not reading them daily.

Down to 146.2. Woo! It's exciting to be at this stage because every loss is a new low since I was in high school! I'll be out of the 140s by May, at this rate.

I do count calories just because numbers are the easiest way for me to determine what I'm eating.

Yahoo on the LOWS everyone!! That's fantastic!

Liverpool Sue-Yay on hubby home and you resisting the temptations! It's paying off!!!

eclipse-Oh my goodness!! Almost to the magic 50 pounds off! That's so awesome!!

SugarRox-Essentially, I'm calorie counting. Sometimes I do it by estimating, but right now I'm being much more precise. I hope things smooth out for you and DH during the remainder of his deployment. That's a toughie for sure!

LouisaH-Yeah, I'm feeling pretty revived...Like I'm back in touch with my inner loser! LOL I'm happy to see so many starting out strong...just hope the momentum continues for all of us!

motivated chickie: Yeah, it's a challenge to find the balance of enough but not too much when it comes to exercise. Best of luck finding that happy place!

bama girl-Isn't it awesome to see the new lows everytime?! Then you realize you're really doing it...making this long term!

well, I have nothing too special to report... I'm trying to get back into my groove, and with that probably also the ice cream in my freezer will have to go. I haven't lost anything but this should be a turning point today. Good luck all of you!

Morning Ladies

Still OP here with walking everyday. I usually weigh on Sunday but jumped on the scale this am.
Down a pound or so

I'm trying to keep things in perspective & not get discouraged.

I've gain almost 20 lbs since this time last year. So I'm covering the same territory again. I'm also trying "One Day At A Time" - it does help.

Hope you all have a good day!

Default I made a goal!

I stepped on the scale this morning and it read 212.2 lbs.

That brings me just under having lost 15% of my original body weight!
I am rewarding myself in 5% increments so this is a big deal!
15% down, 35% to go, until I am half the woman I used to be.

Emilia-Good to have you back! Last month wasn't great for me either, but now I'm feeling much better about this month and I'm much more prepared to move in the right direction.

NightAngel-Chuck the ice cream and find that groove! You're worth the time and effort to do this. I SO know where you're coming from though. I've been there most of the year...UGH! We're here for you!

susiemartin-Good job on the progress so far! I am also working again on some regained weight (I was up 10 pounds from my low a few months ago), but this month is the first one that I really feel re-energized to eat right and not slip at every single temptation. We can do this AND make it stick. Slow and steady!!!

Knobhdy-YEEHAW!! A goal met already! WOW! Just to be clear, did you also lose 4 lbs or was it just the 15%? I wasn't positive, so I just marked the 15% red. Let me know. That rocks, though!! I was always so jazzed at the percentages too as I was on my way down. It just feels great to think of getting rid of that much of your body that was just FAT! So cool!

As for me, I'm down over a pound today to 136.2! This new food plan is working incredibly well. I tried to prepare myself in case the loss would be more gradual, but I guess I didn't realize how much I must've been eating before for this to be making such a difference. Day 2 (today) will have a slight challenge in that I will be eating at my parents' for supper before we go to a convention tonight. They have assured me, however, that it will just be sandwiches and veggies, so it should be right OP. I'm very happy to be back on track and feeling much more in control. By next week, I plan to go back to Weight Watchers and be proudly back at my maintenance weight. That's a huge goal of mine, though not stated in this thread's goals. I never want to get so far away from that again!
