  • My, my aren't we quiet today! I hope everyone is starting the month out strong. This day was really full of temptation, but I didn't cave. That made it 3 days on plan for me, so only 4 more to go for that elusive week OP. I can do this!
  • my first weigh-in of the challenge...

    4/1/2010- 175.4

i was up from wednesday which i cannot figure out why since i've been logging my food (and being under my calories allowed but not under 1200) and exercising every day. so today i took a rest day and let my muscles recover a little.

i am SO happy i'm off of work tomorrow. its nice to have a day to do things at my own pace. going to get in a good workout tomorrow. and going to do a raw diet fast just for tomorrow. lots of fruit and veggies yum! i have noticed a lot of sodium intake lately so i'm hoping to flush some of that out of my system.

gonna do some of this and this and this tomorrow

i had pizza and candy tonight. whoops!
  • In April I have one major goal-not to binge! With that, I think that I will lose 8 pounds.
  • My first weigh-in of the month-- 147.4!

I have had a horrible day non-foodwise. Relationship issues and all that fun stuff have made it very hard for me to want to eat, but I DID push myself up to 1200 calories, which is more than I have felt like eating lately. So good for me I guess. I drank all my water, which is also good.

I know that we are doing this the right way and not getting under 1200, but on the off chance that I have a bad day and can't manage to eat that much, is it going to be held against me? On days like that, I plan to try to throw in some liquid calories like juice or something. It's not a regular or intentional thing. I just have funny ways of dealing with my emotions since I quit binging.
  • I am at 202 today. That's down a pound. I had been stuck at 203 for a while. I drank more water yesterday so I wonder if that may have helped some? I also got a lot more protein then I normally do. I am not exactly sure what did the trick. I didn't exercise yesterday, though.
  • First weigh-in of the month: 149.5. Did well yesterday food-wise, but didn't manage any exercise. One of my goals is try to keep emotional eating under control - I tend to eat when I'm stressed.
  • Joining the challenge a day late, but I need the support.

I'm going to a electronic dance music festival on Memorial Day weekend in Detroit. It will be 36+ hours of music and dancing over three days. Therefore, my goals for April/May are two-fold: 1) get in the best physical condition I can and 2) lose some weight.

Here are my goals for April:

    1) Exercise for about 60 minutes every single day in April!

That is actually a reasonable goal. I already go dancing once or twice a week. And I don't own a car, so I can bike places. Plus, I have started running 3-4 days a week. I need to get fit enough to handle 4-6 hours of continuous dancing. I will mix up my exercise so I don't risk an injury and once a week, I'll limit my exercise to a long walk.

    2) Lose 7-8 lbs in April. My starting weight is 149. This is a very ambitious goal, but it is doable.

My biggest problem is weekends, so I will be more structured about eating on Saturday and Sunday. I will try to eat more fruit and vegetables.

Ok, that's it. Today, I have my exercise covered. I get out of work early so I'll be going for a run. And then later tonight, I have a dance party. I'm so glad that dancing is considered exercise because I love doing it so much.

    Cheers.
  • If it's not too late count me in

    SW - 257.8
    May 1st - 248
    Thanks
  • Ms. Perception - count me in!

    May 1st goal:

    -eradicate 5lbs
-get up to 15k for long runs
-cross train on non run days
  • Well one of my April Goals was to start the C25K plan. I did the first day yesterday, although I am going to redo it on Sunday so I am synced up with a normal week.

I have been eating my fruits and veggies which is great. I love them, but they often go bad on me, so I have had to buy small amounts more often to keep myself in veggies, but it is working.
  • MsP: for your NSV, I’m sure that you have been working hard for that moment to happen

I have been eating by instinct all this week, in certain ways that may be considered out of plan, but I think that it was pretty well because I did not eat junk food or crave it. I was also a little lazy so I did not exercise as much as in previous. I think that the bad weather has affected my mood and that may explain why I did not put effort this week on losing weight but I lost 2 pounds.

    SW: 176.2
    CW: 175.4 (6.4 to go)
GW: 169 (overweight BMI/No longer obese)
    WL: 0.8
  • Good morning, everyone!

I've graduated in my physical therapy into stretchy band excercises. I only have a few I can do, but it feels good to be doing SOMETHING. Still, I'm like a bratty little kid who doesn't want to do her homework, because it's hard to get motivated to do them. I should really be doing them twice a day, but I have only been doing them once. I've got to get better about that. There's one particular stretch that is very uncomfortable, but I think that's the one that's doing the most good. On the plus side, my physical therapist was shocked at how flexible I am. I guess he's not used to that in a big girl. He kept asking if I was a dancer or gymnast when I was younger, because he can stretch my legs all over the place :lol. Next week, we'll hopefully move on to the stability/birthing ball!
  • I'm at 201 today! After weighing in at 203 what seemed like forever I guess I got a woosh.
