  • Well, today is a good morning for me. I'm down to 235.4 this morning - which puts me at a total loss of over FIFTY lbs! Woo hoo! I changed my tickers and everything, but I don't know if it will hold up. I've been off my pain meds for a couple of days and just shedding water I was retaining while taking them. I might start taking the meds again as my back was worse yesterday than it's been in a couple of weeks. Ugh. Physical therapy kicked my booty yesterday, that's for sure. But, 50 lbs!
  • MsP: for your pound lost.
    Eclipse: for your 50!!!
I can say that I’m happy today because I achieved my first official mini-goal which was not part of March or April challenges. I wanted to weight 175 and today I’m at 174.4. I’m not sure why but I felt so sad after Easter. I’m not sure if it is because I ate out of plan or if it is because my husband and I are from different countries and our Easter tradition are so different that I miss my family a lot on that time. In addition, on first and fifth April my father and sister birthdays were and I miss them a lot more on those days. I hope I will see them on June. It may have been a combination of all those things together but how hard has been to stay on plan during this week.
    SW: 176.2
    CW: 174.4 (5.4 to go)
GW: 169 (overweight BMI/No longer obese)
    WL: 1.8
  • Good morning everyone!

I can't believe this has been my first chance to get on 3FC since last week! Month/Quarter end at work, long-weekend...etc.

On a personal note...I got new appliances (black and stainless) for my kitchen on Friday and then got my new over-the-range mocrowave and ceiling fan installed yesterday. Now just have to put new flooring in the kitchen and not only will my eating lifestyle have changed...but it has become a visible lifestyle change that everyone can see! LOL

My last weigh-in at HM was on Monday the 5th and I was 206! That means I lost a pound during Easter weekend...how's that for willpower! Ha!

My April goals are as follows:

    - ONEderland!
    - Deep water aerobics at least three times/week
    - Try at least one type of vegetable that I haven't tried before...not sure what this is going to be but I've seen all kinds of things at the market that I've never eaten...so we'll see!

I haven't had a chance yet to go back through the thread and read everyone's updates, but will make time to do that so I can see how everyone is doing. Hope everyone is having a good week.

    Tamara
  • Ms.P -- You are correct; I have achieved the 15% part of my goal but not the 4 pounds yet. I still have a couple of pounds to go, but after a rather annoyingly unproductive March, I am so excited to see movement in April.

    Crow! Crow! Toot!
  • Ms. Perception - count me in!

Sorry, for the late start. I've been lurking but never got around to posting my goals.

    In April, I will:
    - Take a multivitamin every day.
    - Start to journal my food intake.
    - Exercise 5 days a week for at least 60 mins.
    - Reach my goal weight of 130 lbs.

  • ugh, I just had a big long personals post disappear because I accidently hit a link button. I hate this--it's not the first time (or the second) that it's happened. Stupid track pad on the laptop. grr. Well, now I don't have much time.

knobhdy: 15% wahoo! I'll have to start tracking that because every little mini goal helps with the inspiration, doesn't it?

tamaraj: I just got a new kitchen last year and love love love it. It's a joy to cook and prep food again. Good work on losing a pound over Easter week! We're rockin' it!

aluxa: Sorry you're homesick! That's gotta be so hard. Congratulations on 175--that's my next mini-goal too, so I'm right behind you!

eclipse: 50 pounds is spectacular! Take care of that back--there's no weight loss to be had if you're back is out. I'm don't like taking pain meds either though. I worry that I'll hurt it worse by not being aware of the pain.
Susie Matrin and Nightangel: snuggle in here and catch some of the incredible momentum on this thread--it's contagious!

MsP: I'm so psyched for you! Don't discount the value that positive attitude contributes. You may not have been eating THAT much more horribly, but your new resolve is certainly paying off.

SugarRox: yep, I'm a calorie counter. I was pretty obsessive when I started, still am I suppose, but it's gotten easier as I get better about guesstimating calories when I'm out. One thing to remember is that it's all an estimate anyway, so figuring everything down to the calorie may keep you honest, but isn't necessarily accurate anyway, so it all evens out in the end.

I'm down to 184 today, that's three pounds since the first. Let's hope this momentum keeps up. I've also gotten TOM knocking on the door, so I don't know what to expect. First day of the farmers' market today, and I'm excited to get to go. Once our CSA starts up, I don't get to (nor do I need to since I'll have all the fresh produce I can eat--lucky me!). I love Spring.

  • Good afternoon all!

eclipse- Hope the number sticks even if you do have to go back on pain meds. Sorry to hear it's acting up again! Anyway, Congrats on 50lbs gone!

aluxa-Yay on passing 175! Sorry to hear about the sad few days. I sounds like you know what it is for the most part. Good job on not turning to food!!

tamaraj and dangerouscurves76-Good to have you back! You're on the list.

LouisaH-Thanks! You're right, the right attitude definitely helps. Now I just have to maintain the positive attitude and maybe I can eventually maintain a good weight! One step at a time... BTW, congrats on your incredible progress so far this month!
  • I'm back in the game! ToM has gone and I finally weighed myself again. Fearing the worst since I indulged a little too much over the weekend, I stepped on the scale to see...206.2! That's relieving.
  • I can't believe it is already April 7th!!!

    My April Goals are:
    1) Get to 140!!!!
    2) Take my multivitamin EVERYDAY!
  • so, at first i was all into fitday.com but now not so much. i'm still eating well and watching my portions and making healthy choices but i'm just not into it anymore. i think because sometimes it was hard for me to put the correct food in.

didnt exercise yesterday (well we walked to the store: about 20min. both ways but it was more of a stroll lol) and i wanted to go to the park today but its raining a little and dark now so i guess i'll do my biggest loser video again tonight. we have a really big backyard so sometimes i do sprints along the fence line so i think i'll do that too.

is there anyone that has around the same stats as me? i'd like to make a friend or two on here lol

tomorrow is weigh-in day for me so we'll se what happens
  • onestar, if you want to keep tracking your food, you might try the daily plate at livestrong.com . It has a much better database of food than fitday.
  • thanks eclipse! i will give it a try
  • Morning all
    Busy day ahead of me.

Yesterday was good food wise but could of been a little better. I'm counting calories (1300 -1400 per day) and went over by 200 or so. No big deal I guess but the extra food wasn't part of my planned food.
  • weigh-in
    Week 1: 175.4 (4/1/2010)
    Week 2: 173.8 (4/8/2010)

i'll def. take that lol... fasting this a.m. to have my blood drawn; i think i'm anemic and we're also checking on my hormones (i have PCOS).

should be a light day at work today plus i get of early today. def. going to the park this afternoon!

    have a great one everyone!
