Jess - Men are dumb creatures, and he was complimenting you, so take it and run with it - bad pun, but oh well! lol

Tummy - Wahoo!!!! What a difference!!!! I need to take some photos soon too. I didn't do real before pics, but I have some from a family vacation we took a few weeks before I started dieting.

Well, I probably won't be on much this weekend. Mom and Dad are coming to our house to help with some projects that have been lingering. DH hasn't been motivated/ wanted to do them, but Dad is the bestest and he'll knock them all out!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Good afternoon ladies!

Man...you got all chatty!!! This is going to take me forever!

Jellofer~ so, how goes the organizing/painting/school work? Hee hee, haven't done much today in terms of organizing, but I told hubby that we are cleaning the basement this weekend--no ifs, ands or buts!!!

KimL~ sorry to hear they're giving you flack for being online at work--I agree with everyone else though, if you're allowed to use it for personal stuff then you aren't doing anything wrong. Just watch your back!

Jessica~ okay, so now that we've all pounded it into your head that Mr. McHotty Gym Guy was giving you a compliment, do you believe it? You should!!! Enjoy your night out hun! I've come to look forward to getting dressed up now! I never ever liked it before! Hahaha, yeah, I've heard about those fascinating children who sleep through the night after weaning...still haven't had one, but I've heard of them. Ahh, but my first was actually a pretty good sleeper and the fact that my kids all go to bed at a reasonable hour is good enough to get me through sometimes. My neighbor was amazed when we told them the girls go to bed at 7:30. Her dd is 4 and she's up until 11:00 most nights . I'd go bananas if that was the case here! Nope, mama needs a break!!

shasha~ Congrats on blowing that goal out of the water!! You can totally make 235!! Go for it!!! Yes the P90X Yoga is hard!!! Although I have nothing to compare it to, so it could just be me. But the workout is 90 mins long!!!!!! And it tests ya, lemme just say that.

GivTLC~ one of the best moments in one's weight loss journey, in my opinion, is when they start to miss being OP! Once you start missing exercise or healthy food, that's when you know you're in it to win it!! Hope you got your workout in hun, congrats on reaching a great milestone!!

SG~ I really don't know how to cook much! Honest! I love to bake though (which is part of how I ended up here )! Hubby's always mentioning how we never eat anything new. Funny thing is, I am cooking more things now than ever before and while I like them, hubby isn't all that jazzed about the new dishes. Mostly because they aren't fried or full of meat I just ordered Cooking Light's Holiday Cookbook I'm super excited and can't wait to get it!!!! Congrats on the clothes not fitting!!! You'll be buying new clothes in no time--unless you like the 'falling down around your knees look' LOL

Helpmelose~ Great idea hun! I'm looking forward to seeing your plan! I was actually thinking of posting my housework plans here for everyone to see--I figured, if these ladies can make me stay on track with diet and exercise, maybe they can help me keep my house in order too! Just saw your plan for the day--get thee to the grocery store young lady! Until then, just keep your portions in check and have fun with TJ Fat Blaster! With a name like that, how can it not work?

MsP~ I soooooo feel ya on the laundry issue! Don't fret, I completely understand, you're not alone! Ya know what? I bet that you're already able to wear some 8's. Yup. I bet if you head down to Goodwill (hee hee, I think I might be a little obsessed with GW!!) and try some on, you'll walk out of there with a few!!! I hear ya though, when I set my first goal weight and size it was 150 and 10. I figured that was the best I could ever hope to do. After all, it has been eons since I was that size, what made me think I could ever be that size again? Well, just as you've found out, we're made of tougher stuff! And we can do anything we put our minds to!!! So go on with your bad self and kick that fat's butt!! You'll be in the 130's soon and yup, you'll be free! Free as a bird I tell ya!!

Tummy~ LOOK AT YOU!!!! Seriously, you look amazing!!! Geez, just look at the difference from beginning to now--girl, you should be so, so, so proud of yourself!!! Your tummy is getting teensy!! Oh, and I love your new cut too! I haven't seen it yet. Hmm...Miss Delphi...wonder what she's up to? It's totally not like her to just vanish. Maybe her internet is out? I mean, that would explain her going MIA like she is. I just hope she's okay. Man, see, this is why we need to swap cell #'s or something! I'm going to worry about her until she shows her face--then I'm going to her for making me worry about her!!!! Can you share some of your mojo with me? I'm not sure if it's starting P90X, the fact that my cals are all wonky and I'm trying to figure out how much to eat, or the fact that it's Pre-TOM week--but man alive, it's taking a lot for me to stay on track lately!

FitGirlyGirl~ Now that's some fanfreakin'tastic news!!! You ROCK!!! Congrats on getting your health turned around and everything back in check! That's inspirational!!! I am going to make hubby read your post--that boy's triglycerides are high and he still eats carbs and stuff like it's no big deal. He figures that so long as he takes his meds everything will be just fine. I'm like you--I tend to focus on one thing at a time. And since April it's been getting this weight off and getting my butt back in shape. The house has seen better days and now that I'm at goal I need to find a balance of some sort so that I can fit everything in. Unfortunately, I think that's going to mean that my computer time will suffer a bit...so that means not being here as much.

Well, not much going on here today. Went to open gym, chatted with a lady with 2 yr old twin boys and then we headed to Target and wound up spending $200!!! However, it was most on kids' clothes and the girls' Winter coats. Bought a lot of stuff on clrx for them too.

Let's see...scale is the same as yesterday 134.8 so I'm maintaining I guess. Ate about 1800 cals yesterday and it was sort of nerve wracking for me since I'm so used to sticking to 1250-1400.

Got my 3 mile run in today OUTSIDE!!! Oh my was it ever so much better than the treadmill! In the 40's this morning so I had to pep talk myself a bit and headed out the door in my 5K outfit with hubby telling me I needed a sweatshirt... I was nice and warm in about 5 mins, so all was well.

Still have P90X to do yet and I'll be doing that as soon as the girls' movie is over.

Finished my to do list yesterday! Have yet to do much of anything today besides put the stuff I bought at Target away. I think I'll tackle the dining room after P90X and then figure out what to make for dinner.

Okay, well, I guess I should go. I'm feeling a little unmotivated today and have the munchies...so if anyone feels like feel free--I could use it. Stupid TOM, why does he have to send the blahs out a week before he shows up? Grrrr.

Hope everyone is having a great day!!!

Afternoon Ladies,

Sandye - I'm just hanging on till next week, lol, recovery week is like sweet bliss wrapped in joy, wrapped in a low fat, low calorie cookie. The calorie thing scared the crap out of me too, like 2000, really? that's gonna make me fat again, right? But no it appears that we're way too far gone the other way now and have to readjust a little. I hope I find TOM soon, that reminds me mine should be coming again right about when you're due, or who knows now but at least I can keep track of how many I'm missing. I googled her too to see if there was anything horrible or tragic that happened, I'm only a small bit crazy what can I say? Wow you sure tackled that house quickly, and I think I would like a target up here too, sadly just wal-marts but no targets. We lucked out with our little one she still fits lasts years stuff and we only had to grab ski pants for $10.00. I'm finding that for P90X I'm doing better getting it over earlier in the day but it is so dependant on what else is going on that it sure makes a scheduling challenge on some days. You could always try less of the additional cardio and then fit some of the videos in first thing? It might help get the mojo back. I mean we are working out in between 60-120 minutes six days a week, that's lots, lol, I forget that sometimes.

Nella - Oh I love getting house chores done and sometimes Dad is just what the doctor ordered, that will feel great. And thanks, I'm a huge fan of the pictures, I never would have realized the difference in my stomach last month without them and well the difference from the beginning is just nuts. Sometimes they are just what I need to keep me going too. I love other people's pictures too, lol, so get busy with those

FitGirlyGirl - Thanks And congrats on all the fantastic test results! After all we get stuck in the looks and the scale numbers and the sizes and such but that is really what its all about, being healthy with the delightful side effect of looking fabulous. And you show them, 5 lbs by January? Wow they haven't met a group of ladies we know, have they? Enjoy your run, that program is incredible. Yes, that book brings me much joy, having done the low carb thing years ago too it was a real delight to read and have things make a lot more sense than they ever had before.

Helpmelose - Holy girl you better get that workout in, just for those fruit loops alone, lol. Ok, so when is the grocery shopping? And let us know when the workout's finished

Finished the workouts for today, Fridays are loooonnnnnggg and it's nice when they are finished. Just popped some brownies in the oven for the rest of the family. I'll give everyone the recipe for those, add two heart attacks to the dry ingredients, stir only until moistened, and fold in some cellulite. needless to say, I will not be eating these. I make them once a year, they're that bad but they smell delightful

Now I get to relax and watch some shows from last night that were on past my bedtime and then dinner, we're having a mandarin salad with toasted almonds (and chicken for the meat eater) very easy and a big family favorite around here. Hope everyone has a great Friday!

jessicado22~ Congrats on 243.5!!! 1.5 miles is still pretty awesome and I bet you can run at least 2.5, if not more by the end of the month! I bet you’ll look pretty foxy in your dress! HAHA, I’m not sure if my boss would fall for that, but she has been a lot better about it today and I have stayed off until now (after school). I’d be proud of yourself and not look at it as an insult, because I doubt he would have said anything to you if he had meant it in that way.

shasha17a
~ Congratulations on meeting your goal!!! I have my teaching license, but can’t find a job, so I am currently a paraprofessional (aid) and a waitress.

GivTLC
~ I know what you mean about cold lately. We haven’t busted out of the 40s in over a week which is extremely unusual for VT in October… we’re having November weather already.

Shrinking Girl~ Haha! You sounds super excited to be able to get on at home! I think my boss has backed down due to the amount of work I handed her this morning, so I think she realized that I have been actually putting my computer time to good use. That’s really exciting about your jeans!!!

Ms Perception~ I wish I was as caught up with laundry as you are… and it’s only me, haha! I think she was having a bad day as things are quite a bit better today… plus I stayed off all day during work. You can totally get into a size 8, think positive, because in a month or so, you will be back on here talking about how you’re finally fitting into 8s!!!

jellofer2
~ Congrats on hitting 247!!!

Tummy Girl~ WOW!!! YOU LOOK AMAZING!!! You must so proud and excited! You are a psycho runner!

helpmelose~ Looks like you have a great plan for today! How are things going?

FitGirlyGirl
~ You should totally knock your specialists socks off and lose way more!

Nella~ Have a great weekend!

iDream
~ You’re doing awesome, keep running your tail off!!!

Nothing really that exciting here. My boss has laid off a bit as I handed her a ton of computer work that I have been doing over the past couple weeks this morning. I think she realized that 3FC hasn’t been the only site I’ve been on. I’m still going to Aarons tonight to look at computers and possibly get one as I really have been annoyed with only being able to get online here at school.

We did the low ropes course behind our school today so I got a pretty interesting leg workout in already. I want to get to the gym both Saturday and Sunday this weekend as I haven’t been going as much as I should. Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Tummy~ yeah, I've been pondering giving up one of the cardio workouts. I mean, I like to run and all and I'd love to do another 5K--but I know me and I know I'm not going to run in the ice and snow and that leaves the dreaded treadmill and I'm absolutely hating that. So perhaps when it's too cold/snowy/icy to run outside, I'll come inside and do HIIT or just run for 30 mins instead of getting in 3 miles (seriously, it takes me like, 40+ mins to get 3 miles in on the treadmill, only 31-32 outside--?!?! WTHeck?) or maybe I just need to ditch running once the weather gets icky and only do HIIT 3X a week with P90X? The thing is, I'm know I'm not buring 600 calories with each workout! So I like the extra calorie burn with the cardio everyday ya know? And if I give up cardio 3 days a week, that makes the increased calorie thing even more freaky!!! And boy am I feeling the need for the extra calories! I can't believe it!!! Anyway...thanks for chiming in on Delphi--how'd you find out? She must have been hit hard with it if she didn't even check in. Poor thing.

Delphi~ if you're reading this, hun and feel better soon!!!!!

KimL~ thanks hun! I needed that! Got my last workouts of the day in so I'm good and pumped now! Glad to hear you boss backed off a bit, have fun computer shopping!

Well girls, the boys are heading up the walk so I'm outta here! Hope everyone has a wonderful afternoon!!! I'm off to figure out what in the world I'm making for dinner!

I have done horrible with my eating yesterday and today. I have been feeling mopey and need to break out of it now!! I am only down 2 lbs so far this month and need to get my eating back in control since I am limited on exercise. I need to check in here more often as you guys are great inspiration. Keep up the good work!

Evening Ladies,

Shasha - So any big plans for the weekend, we're all just living through your exciting adventures

Nello - Alright, stop. You are in control of this and you can stop now. You've done it this long and you know how. Check in more and we can go all crazy on you more often And thanks, I may retake that front pic yet, can't stand looking at the bra, lol.

Sandye - Yes, I feel your pain, lol, literally. That's why I moved my running into longer sessions and decided only to do HITT when I feel frisky, to get the extra calorie burn without extra sessions. What I'm hoping is that with the hard core STing we are really going to raise our BMR with all that metabolically active tissue and we'll get more room in the calorie department. I mean I'm eating 2000 and not gaining, you're 1800 and not gaining so it looks like we've got some more room to play with that we used to. This is going to be quite the learning process for sure. And it was FB, she updated her status, lol.

Kim - Well I'm glad things went better today, it's nice when work and school aren't so stressful, we've all had those nasty bosses and they make life a bit complicated to say the least. And thanks it's pretty cool to look and see all the hard work like that, the scale only says so much

Well I'm off to attend to my soups, found some very near done veggies in the back of my fridge so I'm making two batches of soup as to not waste anything, cuz I'm cheap, oh and I like soup, that helps too.

gonna keep this short. Just got home from work. Feeling lousy!!! but trying to remain sort of on plan. Gonna am for a goodnights rest and to walk the doggie in the am. Gotta get lab work done for the weightloss doctor. It's been 2 months since I have started my life change. So let's look at the blood work and see what we have done.

I am going to join the gym tommorrow. But probably no workout until next week. Need to shake this cold. wish I could breath through my nose right now. Off work til Monday.

As far as organizing and painting. It is coming along in spurts. I will finish some of it by the time DH is back from fishing trip. Am hoping that cold is resolving cuz I want to take my smaller body out for a whirl when he gets home!!!

Tummy!!!! You look hot! Awesome.

To all of my other peeps. More personals in the am!!

Love and light to you all!!!!

Sleep tight!

Yayyy it's Friday!! Hope everyone is doing well And yet another day of here...bleh On a good note someone on this forum mentioned Leslie Sanone's Walking exercises, and I found some of her stuff on the exercise channel. I did a 2 mile walk inside! Turned out to be a really good workout for me...so I was more then happy about that!

Tomorrow morning is my WW meeting and time for the dreaded weigh in...but regardless of what the scale says, I feel great that I've eaten nothing but healthy foods this week and gotten off my fat a** hehehe

Tummy Girl~ Your looking good there lady Keep up the awesome work!

FitGirlyGirl~What wonderful test results! Bet you were thrilled..WTG!

jellofer2~Sorry your feeling under the weather See why I hate winter so much?? lol

Well, off to read some of the new book I picked up today at the library!

Huggies all around,

Goood Morning Chickies!

I'll jump right into personals this morning....

MsP Wow, your post really spoke to me... I've currently got my goal weight set at 175 because that's where my crazy Atkins phase landed me at and I struggled for every pound, plus... I think I looked better at that weight than I had looked since maybe Freshman year of high school.. and lately... I've been thinking that 175 is where I'll start to re-evaluate and see what/how I'm feeling. Kudos to you for gaining confidence and thanks for giving me hope that I'll get to where you are right now. A world where I'm 150 lbs or less doesn't seem to exist right now... but maybe it could one day!

jellofer Congrats on the great weigh-in and I agree, I think you can totally make your goal this month... there's still so much time left! Gosh I hope you feel better soon!

Tummy You look amazing!!!! You are so inspiring! How much weight have you lost between the second and third photos? I think the difference between them is fantastic, look at skinny you are!! You and your running... maaaan.. how did you work up to running for so long? I must know. Also... speaking of guess who's got another one as of today?

shasha You have been rockin this weight-loss thing for a few weeks now.. Go You! And yeah, I'm feeling the penny pinching urge especially with Christmas coming up so I've asked a few of my friends to take me to the goodwill they shop at to see if I can find some stuff to fit me. It never did me much good before, but now that I'm smaller perhaps I'll find some stuff.

fitgirlygirl Nice job on getting your diabetes under control! My FIL has been having a terrible time with his so I know how stressful that can be. What a sense of accomplishment you must feel right now! Hooray! Also, I can't wait until you show her exactly how much you can lose in that amount of time. Wish I could be there to see her jaw hit the floor!

nella Aww, how nice of your dad to come and help out! Here's wishing you a weekend full of project completeness!!

idream I used to love to bake but I've put it on hold since I started my journey. However... I'm trying the basic chocolate chip cookie recipe off that website/blog you linked us to a few days ago. I'm seeing it as a challenge in that I won't be able to just mindlessly eat what I make like I always used to... it's a big test. Maaan do I love Target. I could linger in there and look at things for far too long and I usually come out spending too much money!

KimL Yep, you could say I'm just a TINY (read: HUGE) bit excited to have my internet back at home. I was so tired of not being able to look up calorie counts etc!!

nellonello First... I agree this group is great inspiration.... but second.. if you need any of us to kick your butt into gear, I personally nominate Sandye or Tummy... they seem realllly good at it! Also... you've lost 2 lbs... don't discredit that! At least the scale is moving in the right direction!

Well, weigh-in is today at Curves and I'm hoping it will show me down a full lb more from my home scale like it did last time. Why? It would put me at 200. Heh. Oh! Speaking of which... I'm down another lb today, making it 25 lbs lost!! Those 5 dancing fatties down there in my signature look pretty great now that they're no longer in my body! So I did the math last night and it turns out that, at 25 lbs lost, I've consumed 87,500 fewer calories than my body needed since June 16. Which... hey... that's pretty freaking cool! I told DH that and he was like "woah" and then 2 seconds later he grabbed his belly and said "I think I know where they went.." He's so funny!

We have tentative plans to paint the bedroom this weekend as it's our first open weekend we've had in a while... I don't really know if it will get done though, it's such a project to move all that big furniture and we've got so many little odds and ends to get done. Either way I'm sure it'll be a nice time to not have any plans for a change.

Here's hoping everyone has a fantastic weekend!!

Hey, guys-

Just started calorie-counting on 10/5(yet again) but feeling like this is really it. Saw some hideous photos of myself that really hit home.

Goals for October:
Lose 6 lbs(down 3 so far)
Exercise 5X/week(so far so good)
Increase water to 12 glasses/day(still working on this one)

Have a great weekend!

Morning Ladies,

Jellofer - My goodness that cold is a bear, it's terrible trying to workout with all that nastiness. I hope you're feeling better soon and it's no fun being all drippy either when it's time to take the new body for a test drive, lol. And thanks, I'm going to have to grow into the "hot" word, that just sounds like someone else to me but maybe one day. Today I'm good with smaller.

GivTLC - Bravo getting off the butt, and I hope your meeting goes well today, the idea of that makes me feel all funny inside so you are a very brave gal. Thanks my work in progress is coming along, lol.

SG - Originally my goal weight was 150 as well, go figure it was from low carb days as well and I never made it there, lol, but it's weird b/c it's still hard and all but it's not insanely hard like it was before. And looking at my 159lbs body today, I've got at least 15lbs of giggle on there, at least so I know for sure I was selling myself short before but honestly, I couldn't imagine this body before, I jsut wasn't that creative I guess. The last two pictures are 10lbs difference, 169 to 159, it sure shows when we weigh less. I used to always wonder why anyone worried about 5 or 10 lbs, now, I get it, lol. The running can from finishing the 5k's and then I just started adding time so I would run for and extra minute or two every time I went out and then I think I got around to 45-50 minutes or so. After that I downloaded another running trainer podcast that trains for 20K and on Mondays it's interval speed stuff, wednesdays it's tempo runs and fridays it's the mother of all runs. Each week gets a bit longer (by 10 minutes!) Woohoo extra fatty!!! And how nice for you guys to have a weekend with no plans, that's aways a treat with all the running we all do, enjoy

Natamars - to the group, it's a wonderful supportive, albeit chatty place to hang out. Post lots so we get to know you and any help we can muster is all yours!

All our snow is gone! It's crazy, I have never seen this happen in all my years, we had tons and it's melted. Oh well, it will return ever so shortly but it's making my brain think all spring things and that's not helpful. I'm feeling all stir crazy today too, just like spring, we have to go get a few groceries later so hopefully that will help.

Nothing exciting around these parts today other than the gorgeous weather. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
