Karen- I am right there with ya! I have absolutely NO work pants that fit and the kids start back the day after Labor Day. I have been wearing some jeans and capris that I bought for summer (it's kinda laid back around here right now, so I can get away with that sort of thing), but all my work clothes are just stupid big. Time to bag them up for the Goodwill and time to go "school" shopping for me soon!

Jiggle- I know what you mean about the long challenge. Of course I pretty much dropped off the face of the earth most of the summer, so I guess that's my own fault, lol.

Just another thought to throw out there....Columbus Day is Oct. 11th, so that would give us about a month after we end the Labor Day challenge. But then it would be a while until Thanksgiving (about 7 weeks)...so I guess it just depends if we want a longer challenge between Labor Day-Oct, or Oct-Thanksgiving?

Hope everyone is having a great Tuesday!

I am back from Splash Lagoon, we all had a great time and I was OP, but did not drink as much water as I would have like...did not want to have to take restroom breaks. I even went to the hotel gym to tryout the treadmill, I like it for walking, but could not get comfortable jogging. Today I just counted the stairs to get to the slides as my workout, there were 60 steps up for every slide! My son had fun riding all the slides with his cousin. I thought that my duaghter who is the stronger swimmer would be the one to really like the slides, she only went on one then spent the rest of the time with her Aunt and Grandma playing in the pools. My other daughter is just barely swimming and loved the slides, at first we went together on double intertube slides but by the end of today she was going on a slide by herself with out intertubes, and then on an intertube one by herself. She is tiny for 5, she can wear a 3T swimsuit, and everyone thought she was so hilarious rushing to get back around to go again. Her intertube was about 1foot taller than her.

This morning was the first time since July 11 that I did not weigh myself.

dcap You never know, you may make goal. Last weekend I could not fit into my size 14s and this past weekend I needed a pair of black pants and tried again and my 14s fit. So I tried on the rest of my 14s that had been stored on the top shelf of my closet, and atleast 1/2 fit. Also last week my swimsuit was fine and all of a sudden like in the last few days, my suit is too big now! I am glad this happened at the very end of the season bc I will need a new one, and would rather wait until next summer than to buy one to wear for only a few weeks.

Lori I hope you got a nap, or atleast a chance to rest. This is my first holiday challenge with you all, and I really enjoyed it, I love challenges and I love chatting with you all. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, it really brings out the inner child in me, so a Halloween challenge would be spooktacular.

Jiggle this is only my second challenge with you all, so to do one every 30 days is fine with me. I think this long one made me think in my mind that I had time to play with and now that it is getting closer and I seem to be stuck I'm not happy. I know what you mean about the work outs. I am so use to my 3 mile walk it just comes easy, but I am the reverse of you. I bought the 30DS and even though it's shorter and I should be happy I just don't want to do it, yet I know I NEED to. We'll get it done

Thanks Amelia, and that's not lazy, that's Mommy time . Even though I have never been able to do that. Once I'm up I'm up ... until around 1:30ish I'm not sure why though some days I sure wanted to lay back down. Good for you on your workout. I feel good after getting it done also. It's the starting part that's hard

Lori, I'm getting anxious now ... can't wait to hear about the next challenge Hope you get some rest and your energy level picks up Great job on the new low

NorthernExposure, that would be great and short ... Columbus Day Challenge. Lori what do you think?

Dcapulet, you're not by yourself. I'm not gonna make goal. I just said last night ... one thing about weight just because you see 174 today doesn't mean you'll see 173 anytime soon (talking to myself here, gotta face reality) even though I don't like it

Envelope glad you had a good time and stayed OP. Now you know it's nothing to worry about because you have things under control. I love when the little ones get excited about something it makes you feel really good inside to see your baby growing up Our six year old always says Mommy do think I'm still a baby? I just tell her, you will always be Mommy's baby And our nine year old loves for me to baby him. He is such a ham

I'm doing good today finally got my PB2 peanut butter. It's so good and only 45 calories. I am still looking for two other things. Orange Chicken by Lean Cuisine (I've seen it but now that I want to try it I can't find it) and Artic ice cream (have to drive a bit further for this) but I'll get it.

Does anyone feel extra bloated after drinking water at night? Do you ever weigh yourself after drinking the water? I do and sometimes I am two pounds heavier, does that make since?

karenbee- Thanks, I'm glad you enjoy my posts. I hope they help you out when it's time to maintain, I'm still learning more and more each day.

misspriss- I didn't get the ice cream maker yet, I'm hoping to get it for my birthday on Saturday. I make it by hand now, and it's alot of work and time.

Well, I did good today, had 1305 cal. Lost 3 oz. , I ate so much fruit today, my hubby went food shopping and spent 175.00. He bought more fruit, greek yogurt and lots of healthy stuff for me. He's starting to eat whole foods now also and is loving fruit as much as i do. He doesn't stick to it the way I do, he eats lots of treats at night, but he does check all the food labels now. He lost 40 lbs when he got sick in Nov.(nothing serious) and he's keeping the weight off with more healthy foods and exercise. We walk and jog together everyday. His days off, he goes hog wild on junk food, men are so lucky for higher metabolisms. His days off are my toughest days, I have to chew gum while he sits on the sofa and eats junk food, and eventually i blow it eating way too much junk too. Could you sit there and watch someone eating crap in front of you and resist temptation?? I bet most of you chicks could!

LOL Fruitlady, my husband does the same thing. I would never lose weight if I ate with him. He eats a bunch of junk then goes to sleep. He loves his naps. And yes it drives me crazy because if I did that I would be right back where I started. He just looks at me and says, Will Power Honey and smiles. Ughh so not fair, but that's OK. I'm gonna look really good soon, just like I did when we were in school

Fruitlady: Since I started this journey in January, my husband has lost about 30 lbs "by proxy" due to my healthier eating habits rubbing off on him. It started out where he always had crap in the house but had to eat somewhat healthier meals that I cooked. Then slowly, but surely, some of the unhealthy snacks were replaced with healtheir ones. Once he realized he had lost 20 lbs (without really trying), he has been much more conscious of his food intake (both quality and quantity). We haven't had little debbies in the house for MONTHS! This is a big deal in my house, lol. Yesterday he even bought himself a box of skinny cow ice cream cones! Too funny.

Love: what is PB2 peanut butter? Is that the brand name?

As for me...had an unofficial WI on Monday. Still had TOM issues but was down to 216.9. Hopefully I can at least lose the .9 by the end of the week so I can post SOME sort of progress with this challenge...HA!

Going to Colorado for Labor Day weekend, so in reality, this challenge is over for me next Thrusday (we have Friday and Monday off, flying out Thurs. night). DH and I used to live out there and are going back for a friend's wedding. Knowing where all the good eats in Colorado Springs are, I highly doubt I will be fully OP all weekend!

Everyone else: happy hump day!

NorthernExposure it's a powdered peanut butter. I saw it on here (on one of the threads) and everyone that has talked about it seems to like it so I decided to Google it and find it. And it is so worth it. It's made by Bell Plantation. I have a good friend in Colorado Springs that I so want to visit. I'll get there one day. Have fun.

NorthernExposure- that is funny, I don't think my hubby would actually buy skinny cow for himself. But since I buy light or fat free ice cream he says he likes it better than his fattening stuff, he now prefers it. lol

You know what I did? Try this!! I hung a picture of myself at 196 lbs. (taken after I gave birth to my daughter 15 yrs. ago) in my closet, right when you open the door to get your clothes out in the morning, you are reminded of how far you've came and you so badly want not to go back there again. I'm in my closet a few times a day(we keep extra food items in there that we don't want the kids to get a hold of, they will eat everything if you don't hide it.) So, I am reminded how I looked at 196lbs. about three times a day. It has helped me so much, I haven't touched any processed food or junk food since I hung it 3 days ago. I think I will find another fat picture to hang at the computer, I'll see it all the time.

I lost 3.5 lbs. of water weight in 2 days. I'm sticking with my plan, maybe I'll be 105lbs. by Saturday( my own birthday goal) Had 1220 cal. today, Sunday we are going to a japanese buffet for my birthday, but that's ok, they have salad and lots of fruits that i love, I'll just pig out on that. I've done it a couple times like that before and lost weight, just have to stay away from the desserts (that's what tempts me).

Hey there!

Quick check in here,

Got my workout in this morning, did a 45min Power Yoga followed by a 10 min core pilates workout. Im thinking about mowing the front yard in a few minutes for some extra calorie burns

Tomorrow's plan is to wake up, get the kids on the bus, then head out the door to a local park for a run. I will probably do some run intervals or steady run...depending how im feeling.

Lori-yay on your new TOM low...wtg

Love-Ive heard of pb2 and found a store about 20mins from me that has it...i keep forgetting to pick it up

hello to everyone...sending hugs and happy vibes your way!!!

have a great afternoon!

WOW, I've been MIA for a while!! SORRY!!! alot has been going on...and I'm glad everyone is doing great!! TOM is here for me (since last THursday) so i haven't weighed in almost 2wks...and I'm gonna wait til TOM is fully gone!! I actually started working out again after being lazy for a couple weeks! LoL I did 30DS L1 Monday and then the treadmill...was still sore today, so I'll do L2 tomorrow!

Halloween Challenge is good with me...does seem a little long, but it'll do AND ya know what...the Halloween Challenge was when I joined 3fc last year!!! I can't believe it's been a whole year!! THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!!!

Priss: I'm with you...I try to avoid weighing during TOM. I did weigh on Monday (almost at the end of TOM) just because it had been so long since I weighed, but it was an "unofficial" check in only, lol.

KDM: welcome back! I was MIA most of the summer, so I certainly can't scold you

Love: sounds interesting, I'll have to look for it! Colorado Springs is beautiful, nice that you have a friend out there to visit. You should totally go!

Lori: I'm OK with whatever holiday you want to go with. Halloween is kind of long, but better a longer one now vs. when we get closer to the holidays and REALLY need to stay focused Plus I think my next goal is going to be 205.5 (halfway point!) so I will need a little more time to get there considering the slow pace I'm at right now And wow....Thanksgiving will probably be my onderland challenge! I can't believe I'm actually starting to get close...

Keep up the good work, ladies!
