The good news is- I was losing weight slowly and then this morning when I got on the scale it was down another pound. I'm down a total of 2.8 lbs since the challenge started.
The bad news is- I totally blew it today! I ate a whole full jar of peanut butter and was dipping marshmellows in it. I had 4300 calories today, that's terrible. Every time I am so close to my goal, I ruin it and never get there. I'm sticking to it now, I'm determined to do it. I'll most likely gain about 3 lbs. from today which makes me so mad. Now it will take me another week to lose it again.

I've had another HORRIBLE day calorie-wise...woke up STARVING...remained STARVING after I ate breakfast & lunch...then stuffed myself with a cheesesteak from Lenny's Sub Shop! AAAHH!! and baked cheetos! It must be the TOM munchies! lol my body is just craving food! hahaha ok ok, that's probably not true, but all I know is that today was bad...woke up w/a horrible headache so I didnt even exercise before work...I may go do the TM before leaving considering I have to stay practically all night bc DH & I car pooled and he's gotta stay til 5am! BLAH! so, maybe I'll go get a movie at the redbox and do the treadmill EXTRA long!! but I'd have to be on it til 5am to burn all these extra calories! haha oh well, tomorrow's a new day!

well, hope you all have a good weekend!

Default hey all...

KDM322- hey, looks like everyone is getting the munchies lately....no worries, maybe get the extra exercise and counter balance. I have to tell ya though cheese steak does sound very tempting I don't recognize the shop name, I'm sure we don't have it around here.

fruitlady- oh my.... add a little chocolate and you's be golden but seriously, yeah that's quite a bit of peanut butter. I hear though you are not alone in the peanut butter lover department. It is awfully good. I've been avoiding it like the plague. That's not too hard since the WIC company gives me all natural these days and it isin't half as tempting to look at...the grease all sits at the top all the time . Don't worry though, you've been doing sooo good and I'm sure you'll get going again!

julesp13- leg pain uh? yeah, some workouts will really do that to ya, and certain shoes too! Have you ever had the weird tingly feeling after a workout in your thighs? I like that one. It means it's doing something... but can also mean pain later too lol!

jdonato- it's good that you're finding patience. There is a lot going on in your life right now. I have to admit that after a certain time it does seem normal to expect change. I waited 4 years or so (hadn't wanted to until then for sure) It didn't used to matter to me, used to be just a piece of paper, but nowadays I realize that it's like what you said, a matter of taking the next step, of commitment, etc. Either way, certainly you have a lot going on for now, and you're so busy and looking to do great things I bet.

Default and now...

argh.... I'm not seeing progress... AGAIN....hardly lost anything this month. I had given in to a lot of junk lately though.
Today I am very tired... read my book for homework last night and will need to keep reading today. It will be a day late. I don't see much exercise in my future!

I'm having yogurt like a good girl this morning though, Light and Fit. Woo.

*yawn* ugh... I did ok yesterday most of the time. The hardest part is that I can't stand looking at leftovers, I hate throwing them away, and if they're in the fridge I'm compelled to eat them. I try to get my family to take the rest because I will be after them that day or the next. So, last night I had one extra chicken thigh because it was just sitting there looking at me!! Anyway, maybe I'll check in later, the kids are sort of trying to get ready for school.

GOOD MORNING LADIES!!!

I'm feeling good today and hope everyone else is too!!

I started a 48hr Acai Berry Cleanse/Detox last night. Hopefully it doesn't take over my system today while I'm at work. Yesterday was a great day, I was within my calorie budget, I did an intense workout out the treadmill and resistance bands. I will see how close I'm getting to loose size 18 pants and the 16 muffin top gotta be close by mid April.

Lets make today the start of an intense weekending push so this week will end with us on top of our goals.

Can I join you? I want to drop 7.4 pounds and start a strength training routine. I also want to have a portion of my capstone project already written by them, but this is a non weight related goal.

jules: thanks I know what you mean by Type A and Type B. I have the same problem. congrats on the pound!

misspriss: your doing amazing, keep it up!

shan84: hope your hike goes well, that should be some great exercise and good quality time with the bf

fruitlady: I'm here for you

lori: I remember zebra cakes as a kid! oh yes those are the devil...I couldn't get enough of them back in the day...It's been so many years since i've had one. Hope your having a great day!

KDM: stay strong, I know TOM makes you sooo hungry, you can do it! Hope your weekend goes better.

NightAngel: thanks . I know what you mean with the leftovers, it's like ordering a large pizza and it never goes to waste ....I try to make only a single serving but that's not always practicle. Keep up the good work!

Jigglefree: let me know how the detox goes! I'll have to look that one up..it's nice to get a lil cleanse once in a while to jump start...HOpe it goes well....

aluxa: Did you say Capstone!? I had a Capstone class last semester for my senior design class. I had to write programs in Assembly language for a Motorola HC11. My group decided to make a digital weighing scale. If you need anything let me know! What do you have to do for your Capstone class? Sorry I got very excited because I'm EE and rarely do I meet ppl who have Capstone lol. Oh and Welcome to the challenge , we are all here for support, everyone here is so wonderful. Good Luck!

The scale is down today and I ate pasta and chicken last night with a side salad..I decided to splurge and have lots of ranch on my salad lol. It was easy to make it for dinner and since the bf and I aren't eating out anymore I'm saving a crap load of calories and getting in more exercise with work so it felt really good to have a little splurge. I have to just keep to that and not go crazy on other things. this whole watching our food budget is not only great for $ but is making staying on track so much easier and staying within calorie range. I just want to keep it up this weekend, which will be a huge test considering we always eat out on weekends and that's what gets us the most. Well i'm off to work here in a few...I hope everyone had a wonderful Friday and Let's keep up the good work!

OH MY GOODNESS! MY FIRST WHOOSH!

I weighed in this morning and am down 5.3 pounds!!!

I haven't been this weight since 1996 - that's 14 years, y'all! My 9 year old daughter has never seen her Mama this small.

I haven't lost this much in one week the whole time! I guess being stagnant for two weeks was worth seeing that this morning.

So yay! I've met my next mini-goal to be in the single digits and I'm only one pound away from 1/2 way to goal!

Only 6 pounds to go for the Arbor Day Challenge!

I'm so excited - if you can't tell :O)

It makes me want to look back over my last week and do the exact same thing. But I'm pretty sure even if I did the exact same thing I wouldn't get that result two weeks in a row. I'm figuring out my body loses a good bit, then two weeks of slow or stagnant and then another good bit.

Three things I focused on that I had begun to be lax about was #1 drinking my water religiously. #2 Eating my vegie soup #3 I only had one diet soda all week.

Ok, off to enjoy my day and go buy a new dress for this weekend. Wouldn't it be awesome if I could get a size 14!! Hope you all have a great day!

Susie -YAY!!! I'm so happy for you. 5.3lbs is a great accomplishment. You better let me know if you get into that 14. Your progress keeps me hopeful since I'm not too far behind you. I think I'm as excited as you are about your accomplishment. You will make you challenge goal. I'm so proud of you!!! Makes me want to go shopping today too. After work that is...Right now I gotta get to the gym for my lunch break.

Yippeee!!!

WOW, well aren't we a bunch of chatty cathys even more this time, I can't keep up!!!

jigglefree: I've been having issues with too many carbs too, bread is my down fall that and pasta....mmmmm. You're right i'm sure if you just keep your calorie intake in the range of fruits, veggies, and protein you'll be losing quickly in no time!

susieyarb: haha yes!! I am normally the "pale" one but I'm enjoying being one the tan ones in MN. I love this state because of all 4 seasons but dang our winter's can be a little less cold and a little less LONG!. haha. How's the tae-bo? I'm looking for different things to spice up my exercise route, now that I can officially exercise how ever i'd like since my ankle is pretty much healed! congrats on that 5.3 pounds!!!! nice work!!!!

katy05: I totally agree, this site definitely makes me be more accountable when I post. I just went crazy when I was in Mexico, ate a lot of fish, but a lot of guacamole and chips too!! haah, gained 6 pounds...now I realize I kind of need this site....Nice job on the runnning!!

julesp: believe it or not I had DOMS in mexico, my friend is like a health/exercise freak and she's like oh do you want to do 7 minute abs after we go out and drink? Drunken exercising is not fun especially when you just want to sleep! haha, well my abs were sore the whole rest of the vacation!!! It felt nice to know i have them somewhere however, haha. I just don't think they've ever been worked out before! oops

shan84: how's SK? Totally jealous that you live some where other than the US! It can be so boring sometimes!!

fruitlady: nice job on the pound!!! hey we all have our days when we mess up, I think we need to allow ourselves those days too every once in a while. Don't sweat it just do better today and completely forget about yesterday!!

lori: oh my god...zebra cakes...yummmmm haha I always liked those oatmeal cookie bars or whatever with the creme in the middle!! yum yum yum! I agree I hate little debbie!!! haha

kdm: dont sweat it, one bad day never hurt anybody!! i know it still sucks tho because it screws everything up! that sounds like a good idea, just getting whatever exercise you can in while you wait for DH.how'd it go?!

nightangel: hey it could have been something worse than chicken!! I wouldn't think that an extra piece of that would be so bad!!

aluxa: welcome!!

jdonato: i'm glad to hear that you are getting things worked out with the bf, trust me I know how difficult it can be during this time of year with school and all. ugh! I just want to give up and be done, we're almost there!!

well I am down another pound today, so I'm still thinking I'm losing that water weight from Mexico. Or it may be because I just ate significantly better the last two days than when I was there. not sure. I did have a little midnight snack though last night that i'm shocked didn't bump up my weight. i'm going to try to get in an hour of exercise today, I shouldn't have an issue I don't work today or have school. Just a nice day off. I am going out tonight with my friend for sushi and I have no idea how much that is going to be calorie-wise so I might eat lighter during the day to make up for any large amount of calories consumed with the sushi. i love sushi! i have been craving it ever since I started this diet and am now treating myself to it today. yum!

have a good day everybody!!

you can save a LOT of calories if you do sashimi instead of the sushi. Sashimi is just the fish without the rice for those that don't know.

Jdonato: Thanks My capstone class was divided in two parts, the first part was to develop a proposal of what we will do to integrate what we learned on the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies classes and how they have affected our way of thinking if they did it. It should be between 50 and 100 pages length. The second part is the real capstone project which is what I’m starting. I will use a fictional book which is considered by most people a horror book about a monster. However, if we put the book in a different perspective, it is not about a monster, but about how a whole society is responsible for the monster creation which transforms the book in a warning call to us instead of a horror story. It is mostly a research project.

Farn00a57: thanks

I met my challenge goal this morning! To be fair it was 4 lbs, but the main part of the goal was to get to 100 lbs lost - and I did it! So I think for the rest of the challenge I will just aim to continue on my 1-4lbs/week loss and aim to be on plan the best I can next week (family is in town and all the cooking is going to be out of my control).
