  • Here is my potpourri post. Yesterday I came in low on cals because I was out shopping all day and was TOO careful - just barely made it over 1200. 1239 to be as exact as possible. I was shopping for an Easter Dress and had no luck. I have the rest of the family's outfits and we always try to match. Our colors are yellow and blue this year so I'm trying to find a yellow dress that is "me." Well ME is in a weird place size wise. The closest thing I found to liking was at Dress Barn but in the plus-sizes and I tried on the smallest they had over there and it was TOO BIG! They didn't have the same thing over on the Misses side. But I'm now officially too small for PLUS SIZES!!

    I went to TJ Maxx to look and still found nothing for Easter. BUT I found the prettiest black/white dress, very feminine and it was only $19. It was a SIZE 10 and I bought it!!! Of course it's still too small, but when I got home I attempted to try it on and IT WENT ON MY BODY!! I was so amazed it actually went on me! Sure, it's wayyyyy too tight to wear in public, or even in front of my husband, but I was so excited it went on me! It is my goal dress. Remember my goal is to be size 10 again by 10/10/10?? And since that's a Sunday, I will wear a dress to church that is size 10 and this is it! HOWEVER . . . I'm pretty sure I will be wearing that dress by July or August and not in October for the first time :O)

    Now, time for the not fun news. Remember for the St. Patty's weigh in I had GAINED .1 pounds? Well, when I weighed in for my usual Friday morning weigh in, all I've done is lose that .1 so I'm still at the same weight essentially that I was a week ago. Ugh. I was really and truly soooo OP with food and exercise so who knows what my body is up to.

    I'll just keep on keeping on, though.

  • So this morning when I woke up at my parents house, I weighed myself. I went from 122.8 to 123.2...ok well don't ask me what came over me and why, I must have had an out of body experience but I took the battery out because it was low the last time I was on it so I made sure.....and then when I got back on it, it said 123.8.....oh good lord! why do I do this to myself. I know i'm not over weight but I don't want to start off on the wrong foot.My lowest since the challenges was 117.9 and to be honest I felt amazing and would be very happy if I stayed there forever. I haven't been keeping track this week and I already feel unhealthy. the good news is we will see on my scale at home tomorrow and this just made me happier to start this challenge and get back on track. I don't just keep track of weight, I also keep track of inches and when I see the inches increasing and the clothes fitting a lil tight, I start to panic! Well trust me I will get back down and back to CC. I miss it and how I felt. I just want to get home and clean out all my cubbards....the bf is so on board he's noticing a belly on him now and wants to get back on track.

    Jigglefree: he's moving to Ketichkan(spelling). He leaves in the morning and you are right it's something my mom has to let him do. I'm really happy to have your motivation for this challenge, thanks!

    KDM: thanks! I only have pics of me at 140ish, maybe 145ish, but nothing when I was 160 or heavier. I'll have to check and post later. awesome job with the run keep it up!

    Lori: thanks for your prayers, it really means alot to me, you have no idea! We will see how tomorrow morning goes. the good thing is I have to wake up early and head back home for work, so I'll be so busy that I won't be able to think about it, until I get home, but the bf is there to cheer me up and support me. Sorry about the cramps, I hope you feel better!

    To everyone else I'm really sorry if I missed you, I'm getting tired and want to head to bed so I can wake up early and say good bye to my dad. I hope everyone has sweet dreams and a wonderful day tomorrow.
  • Ok I found some before and after pics, the before are when I was 140-145ish. And the new pics are from St. patty's day at 122.8. I don't think I wanted any pics of me when i was 160 and heavier.

I know what ya mean about pics at your heaviest....I'm having the darnedest time finding full body shots...I'm about to accept that I didn't allow too many! atleast w/my camera! haha I had to ask my best friend if she had any and she provided the ones of me in the bathing suit on my blog...I'm gonna ask my mom if she has any since she's a camera maniac! lol THANKS AGAIN FOR POSTING! Hope all goes well in the morning...hang in there!
  • Count me in!! I would like to lose 12 lbs by Arbor Day! I think thats possible...2 lbs a week. I will be working out atleast 4 times a week and counting my calories! Good Luck everyone!!
  • I was down 4 ounces this morning. I went over my calories today, I'm so mad. I had 1700 cal. , which is way too many for me, about 700 more than usual. I'll probably gain weight, my body is so touchy. If i go over this much in one day, look out! I'm gonna pay big time!
  • Yesterday was family day out and we were out all day shopping and trying on clothes. I tried on all the clothes. I was able to wear xl pants and shirts in New York and Co. which was so exciting. I have never purchased anything in that store. I got very excited. The best thing about going to regular stores it helps me to see what areas I need to be working on. I've been doing a lot of cardio and weight training. However, I have not been doing a lot of abdominal exercise so I have to get on that along with what I'm currently doing.

    So lets get this week off to a great start. Eating on plan and moving our bodies.

    Today is an upper body heavy weight lifting dvd, plus some abb work.Still not feeling well, allergies are starting already! I've got to remember to pick up some Zyrtec when i get out today.

    sorry I meant breaking 230... I doubt I even want to break 130 ever.. I have such wide shoulders it would be crazy of me!!

    It looks like most people are losing weight, and that's great!! I am still jumping around it's discouraging... I'm upping my workout today... who knows what will help eventually. Course, I couldn't maintain the food schedule I had at the beginning, I think it got boring. I'm looking for a new way to handle my food to stay on track.

    I am having an allergic reaction since last night(I am allergic to animals & my neighbor girl came over & She has house dogs & I am sick as crap now~UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Sometimes neighbors can suck! Beautiful day & I am sick.~off to paint my nails & laze around~Hoping my meds clear this quick.

  • Just jumping on my first challenge and this one sounds perfect! I want to wear my size 16 blue jeans again. This time last year I was trying them on and calling my hubby from the dressing room. Arbor day I will celebrate wearing my blue jeans and planting a tree!
  • I'm jumping in for this challenge although I have absolutely no clue what Arbor Day is (it's not a Canadian holiday, methinks).

    My goal is to lose ten pounds which is 127 pounds. (Oh boy! the 120's!). Additional goals are to walk daily and do my pysio exercises so that I can heal my knee in time for the soccer season (very wishful thinking).

    My brother's getting married in mid-April. It'd be nice to be down to 130 by then and look rockin' in my dress...
  • I did good today, better than yesterday, but somehow I lost 2 ounces anyway. Big woopie! lol Better than gaining. Today I had 1300 cal. , still about 250 over my usual. Hopefully I can get away with it. I still have 3 lbs. to lose for the challenge.
  • Joining in my first challenge on my first day counting calories!

    I would like to lose 10 lbs by Arbor Day. I'm hoping for more than that, but I want a realistic goal the first time around so I don't get too discouraged!
