Calories for yesterday~ 1476
Fiber~ 33 grams (getting better!)

My goal last week was to not gain anything and surprisingly I didn't. I was bloated for a few days (too much eating out), but I knew it was bloat and not gained fat. My wedding ring isn't as loose when I'm retaining water. Hopefully these last few some off as quickly as the rest did! I'd like to be done by the time we move (late August.)

milleradah~ I got super moody when I first started losing weight (it was all the time though.) Turns out I wasn't consuming enough good fats. I started taking a omega-3 supplement (fish oil) and the moodiness went away after about a month. I've always been on the moody side though, so that may have just be me mostly. Another thing to think about, estrogen is stored in fat. So I think that the estrogen levels in your blood can be higher while losing weight. My doctor said he thought the body just metabolized it, but he wasn't completely sure (I have a knack for asking the questions that no one can answer. Lol.)

Littlered~ Going to the chiropractor was always really helpful for me. It's amazing how being "out" can effect you.

on all the losses! Everyone is doing so good!

GOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING!

Mondays Calories: 1440
Exercise: Curves, 2 - 20 minute walks

Lost 3 lbs of the bloat so far and just 4 more to go to be back to where I was.

Thank you to everyone for the welcome back. Things are really turning around and my energy is coming back. I have another vacation coming up from the 25-29th and I am almost upset about it. I can just see myself eating like I just did and I don't want to. Sounds silly I know because we don't have to eat unhealthy just because we are on vacation but DH doesn't like to allow me the time to eat every couple of hours so I have to come up with portable snacks like protien bars or something. I feel 100% better when I eat every couple of hours and it gives me the will power to stop eating when I should when tons of food is put in front of me. So, I am working on getting a plan together to have a healthy eating vacation for the first time in my life.

Theresa ~ I have been having days lately where I just want to crawl out of my skin because of hormonal problems so I can can relate.

CoolMom ~ You are doing fantastic and I know you will continue to lose. It may feel as if things are getting old but in reality I think its just starting to feel natural. I was feeling the same way before my eating vacation, now that I am back on track I realize I don't really want to go back. Keep up the good work.

Wow this morning I worked with my horse and did I get a workout. I decided to start doing some ground work with him because he is getting older and not using his body properly which is making him stiff, clumpsy, lazy and pig headed. Today went well but he wasn't happy with me at first. He isn't used to paying attention, bending and working. I stopped working him when I could tell he was enjoying it finally so we ended on a good note. I turned my pony around when I starting having problems with him using this technique. Lots of exercise for me so BONUS and I enjoy doing it.

WE HAVE CHICKENS! Yup I finally gave in and let DH and DD get chickens. We got a great deal on them and hopefully we end up with some nice laying hens. We paid $10 for a dozen and they should be laying by fall. I know we have at least three roosters out of the deal. She told us what they are but I don't remember anything other than they are going to be small and will lay brown eggs. We have 5 white with feathers on there feet, 2 black with brown markings, 2 black, and 2 brown with black tipped feathers here and there and longer feathers on their heads, reminds of an wide mohawck. We have a rooster in each color but we had to put the white rooster outside the pen because it likes to fight with the other roosters.

Well I better get going and talk to you all later.

I am celebrating my second day of Perfectly On Plan (eating & water, still have to work on getting in exercise!).

Yesterday was 1500 cals, 29% fat, 50% carb, 22% protein, 35g fiber & 64oz water

Today (if I stick to plan for this afternoon/evening) will be 1484 cals, 32% fat, 45% carb, 24% protein, 31g fiber and 64oz water

I know I should get the fiber up a little, but I'm feeling pretty good about this progress this week (especially had a totally out-of-control snacking binge on Sunday evening).

It is SO inspiring to see how well all the 3FC counters are doing. Personally, I want to be Zenor...she's got the same goal weight I have (and is the same height)...she's just 46 pounds ahead of me!

Awww shucks... Thanks! I've been working at this since January 6th, so you'll get there! It just takes a little time.

Upping my fiber really helped me. I've been lagging lately and I really need to get it back up to over 40 grams per day. I think it'll help with my final push to get these last few off.

On a good day I drink 3 liters of water a day. That works out to be approx. 100 oz. Most days I'm well over 80 oz, although sometimes I stop keeping track after I hit 64 oz (but I'm still drinking more after I stop tracking.) This number doesn't count other fluids like coffee or unsweetened ice tea.

Congrats on the chickens Grammy!!!!!! I love my little egg-bearing ladies. Ours free range in the backyard and come visit me on the deck several times a day. I give them treats and they just gobbled up a pint of blueberries. You must have banties. Those are the little ones.

Hey everyone!! How's it going. It's getting a bit hot up here! My calories have been pretty good, just trying to see what I want to do for dinner.

CoolMom- Way to go on the loss!! WooHooo!!! How cool that you got chickens. I wish I had some, but no way we could in the city! LOL

LittleRed- Good to see you!!!! How's work been going? It must be something in the air, because my residents are going bonkers! LOL

Milleradah- I was a total you know what when I first started, I was moody and just over all not so pleasant, but now it's been a lot better. I usually just put in my workouts, it helped me a ton!

GrammyL- I'm so jealous of you and your chickens as well!! LOL! Good Luck with your next vacation! You can do IT!!!!!!

QueenJane- Way to go!!! Keep up the great work!

Jaceycat- I drink anywhere from 64 oz to 90 oz. Depending on the day, but today I've been watering myself all day long! LOL

Well....my tops are starting to fall off my shoulders....I guess it's a sign that I'm doing the right thing! LOL

Have a great one everyone!!

Calories for today (with 2 glasses of wine)~ 1439
Fiber~ 29 grams

My fiber should start going up now that the cupcakes are gone. I've been eating them for breakfast. I'm going back to my high fiber cereal, so tomorrow should be much better and more healthy.

I wanted to show off my new glasses, so I changed my avatar. The lighting is really bad, but that's bathroom lighting for you. I had to take the picture myself, so I was looking at the screen in the mirror to make sure it was centered. I'm a goofball!

Tinky~ The sushi rice salad was good! I finally made it last night. Here's the recipe:

Sushi Rice Salad from Moosewood Restaurant Low-Fat Favorites

1 cup short grain brown rice
1 3/4 cups water

Sauce
1/3c rice vinegar (if using seasoned omit sugar & salt)
2T sugar
1T salt
2t fresh ginger, grated

2 sm carrots, diced
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 cucumber, diced
1-2t wasabi powder dissolved in an equal amount of water
1 sheet of nori
1T sesame seeds
fresh salad greens

Cook rice in water (I did mine in a rice cooker.) Bring a separate sauce pan to boil with water to blanch the veggies.

Combine the sauce ingredients in a pan and simmer for 5 mins, set aside. When the water boils, blanch the carrots and pepper until tender. In a bowl combine sauce, veggies, cucumbers, & wasabi paste.

When rice is done, add to bowl and toss well. Serve cold or at room temperature. Just before serving, toast nori by briefly passing over low flame or by baking for a minute in a 350 degree oven. Crumble in a small bowl. Toast the sesame seeds. Spoon rice salad over onto individual beds of greens, sprinkle with sesame seeds and nori, and serve.

Makes 4-6 servings

For 6 servings: 163 calories, 3.9g protein, 1.8g fat, 33.1g carbohydrate, 426mg sodium, 2.8g fiber

It was super yummy and tasted like a deconstructed maki roll.

Grammy & CoolMom~ I'm so jealous of both of you! I really want chickens! I'm thankful that, at least, I can get fresh truly free-range eggs at our farmer's market. The new town we are moving to has a farmer's market and someone does sell eggs. I hope they are good! I'm so spoiled. Lol.

Grammy~ Good thing you bought 10! Some friends of ours bought 3 chicks when it was too early to tell the gender and they all turned out to be roosters! They live in town too, so I bet their neighbors were ticked.

jaceycat28~ You should check your local laws if you want chickens. In some cities you can have them if your backyard is big enough, you just may be limited by how many you can keep. In some cities the only kind you can't have are roosters, but hens are okay.

Tinky: way to go on the straps falling off your shoulders -- it must feel great!

Jaceycat: I stop counting at 64oz...I drink that much at work, and then probably another 20-30oz at home with dinner and in the evening while trying to stave off the >9PM munchies

Zenor: CUTE glasses -- and it's so nice to see YOU, too! You look fabulous!

Zenor- I love your pics!!! Very nice! I love the glasses too!!! I willl definitely try that sushi rice salad, maybe I'll do it tonight, we're suppose to be in the upper 90's! So it might be a nice touch!!!

QueenJane- Thanks! It's not as glamorous, because I work at a retirement community and my resident was the one that caught me, she said "if your top slinks down your shoulder anymore, let's just say you'll be a walking Viagra ad." LOL Ugh!

Well the 170's are around the corner...I can so feel it....I'm tired of being in the 80's! LOL!!!

Well have a great one everyone! I will be here at work! We get to do our annual employee survey, this year they're bringing in a 3rd party company. Goody!

GOOOOOOOD Morning!

Calories: 1443
Exercise: 1 - 20 minute walk. I know this doesn't count but 2 hours of shopping while ODD tried on maternity cloths and I literally chased DGS. He thought it was an excellent game and it was fun. I am sure they didn't appreciate it at Kohl's but I was a paying customer.

It is a beautiful day here in Central Michigan today. It is 66 degrees, low humity, big white fluffy clouds, and a nice breeze. I was so excited about it that I took the dogs for an extra long walk so I could hear the neighbors sheep talking this morning and their rooster crowing. Our roosters are learning still and sound like someone is trying to kill them. Then I took my pony for an extra long drive, not that he wanted to but it was really enjoyable. He is such a good pony and I can't wait to get his new headstall and in a few months a new cart for him. On the way home from driving my pony I started getting hungry and thought, OH MY GOSH, it must be real close to the time I need to leave for work. Sure enough, I only had 10 minutes to get ready for work by the time I took care of my pony and all his tack. I just thought it was so funny I gauged what time it was by my hunger. GEEZ!

Which brings a sad note, the rooster that was violent with the other chickens, I mean violent, something got him over night. No sign of him at all, not one feather. I feel bad and tried for over a week to find him a new home but he just beat the crap out of the other chickens and couldn't be left in there.

AnneA ~ Have fun at Sea World. I have wanted to go since I was a kid and lets say that was a long time ago. HAHAHAHA!

Tinky ~ HAHAHAHA! That is to funny about the Viagra. I am sick of the 180's also and I am determined to break it this month I am so sick of it. I am forcing myself to do it and telling DH NO! when it comes to eating out until it happens for me.

CoolMom ~ We have been giving ours leftover watermellon, they love it.

Zenor ~ Love the glasses and it is so nice to see a face with the name. You are looking fantastic.

Jacey ~ I usually drink between 64 - 80 ozs a day. I used to drink 100 oz but I was spending to much time in the bathroom.

The breed of chickens we have, looked up the different breeds and my memory came back, are bantams. There are a wide variety of bantams and I think we have a wide variety. HAHAHAHA! Our favs are the Serama Bantams and our Serama rooster seems to be dominate so hopefully the Serama rooster and hen have chicks. Lets say the eggs are very small so not great loss on letting her sit on her nest when they are ready. I am still afraid to catch and hold the chickens. I like them but feel no need to pet them unless someone else is holding them. DH caught one of the black roosters and gave him to me and he sat calmly with his eyes closed and then bit me. Then the rooster thought it was funny to follow me around the pen while I was stapling the mesh to the boards.

Well I better get going because this took three hours to get done because of so many interruptions.

Calories for today~ 1662
Fiber~ 38 grams

I stopped counting my water at 142 oz. I have no idea why, but I was really thirsty today.

My calories include frozen yogurt, which is why I'm a bit over. I swear this TOM has been bad for cravings! It's not the norm though, so I guess I'm lucky.

Tomorrow may be a bit high too. A friend of mine is in town and a group of us are going to the local brewery for dinner. Which means a pint of beer and not-so-good-for-you food. I figure I'll just eat half of my entree and skip dessert. I'm having the beer though (they have really good beer.)

Grammy~ Poor little rooster! Oh, well... that's nature for you.

Oh, and I can tell the time by my stomach too! Actually, I think my tum may be more accurate than a clock.

AnneA~ I love Sea World! Have fun, but beware of the splash zone! It took me all day to dry out the last time.

jaceycat28~ Maybe there is some weird moon phase or something? I was wickedly moody today. I thought I was going to scratch out a few eyes at work today. It's TOM for me too, but man...

Tinky~ Go out and buy yourself some clothes girl! You don't want any of the Lil' ol' men having heart attacks over seeing some shoulder. Lol. The viagra comment was pretty funny!
