I promise I will read this entire thread on the weekend but right now I am swamped with work.
My name is Margot, I live in Ontario with 3 cats and a largish shedding type dog. I am turning FIFTY on November 6th. I don't think I am going to make my 50 by 50 goal, but whatever I will have lost is a victory:carrot: This is my FIRST BL challenge and I am just going nuts trying to figure it all out, so please be patient with me. I am a member of TOPS #302 ON. I try to eat a healthy diet based on Superfoods RX and keeping around 1600 calories a day. Once my work life settles into something vaguely resembling a routine and I actually work halftime instead of fulltime but paid halftime:o I hope to get back into a workout routine. I will be doing Tai Chi two nights a week starting in October. I also will be doing treadmill and strength training. My goal is to get work into shape and back to a routine by October (sept. is my craziest month). |

I'm pretty sure that a uterus and a metabolism look just alike. The doc couldn't tell the difference...so he took both!:o |
Hello fellow Blue Team members!
My name is Emily, I'm 28 - I am a Navy wife, and mom to 2, possibly 3 soon (we are trying to adopt DH's little brother who is 19 months old like my DD) I started South Beach on July 22 of this year and have lost 19 pounds so far. I am doing the C25K running program right now (on week 3) and I absolutely love it. In the past I had never been able to run for long but I feel myself getting better every time. I think the 100 pushups program will be a great compliment. ---Thank you for posting about it!!!! - Other than that I take different classes at the Y. I love Zumba!! I have been trying to focus more on non-weight related goals but I think 15 lbs sounds reasonable. |

Hi everyone,
I'm having trouble keeping up with the posts! There's so many of us, but I did quick read through lots of them :) Anyhow, today was supposed to be my first day back at the gym. Derailed again! I was fine this morning, ate my eggs and veg and then off to have a shower when I got a very quick stiff neck, then severe pain...finished the shower, took an advil, writhed in pain, then decided to take a tylenol 2 with codeine, went back to bed, and then sure enough got sick (yuck!) and now finally after two hours of sleeping, I feel sorta-normal. I have no IDEA where this came from. Seriously! I still have this evening to go, but after needing DH to watch the kids most of the day, and then grandma for the other part of the day, I can't really justify it...plus I am not feeling great (a little shaky). Tomorrow is another day. Ginger |
This question was asked last time and I really liked it:
What can the group do to help keep you on track? How can we help out if you feel like you're starting to slip or things become a little rough? For me, the group staying active is important. Knowing people are going about their normal lives and incorporating better eating & better living is comforting. Things often do become rough, and I may complain or vent about it. I suppose all I can ask for is a shoulder or an open ear. Some people to commiserate with :) |

Whew!
I did it, I read the whole thread...I don't remember what I read, but I read the whole thread! I am NOT ready for a quiz! Lots of great, interesting folks on here though, and some really inspiring stories. I hope I have an inspiring story to tell someday.
Anyone from southern Michigan or southwestern Ontario? I am on the "too busy and too exhausted to eat" diet right now, and I know that isn't good. I have got to get my life back in some sort of order. Maybe some hot pink file folders and some stickers will help. |
Hi Blue Team...
I'm Denise. I live in Omaha and this is my first BL challenge. At my doctor's suggestion I am following MRC and it is really working well. I am just healing from having shingles, but was able to stay OP and keep losing while I was sick. Now I just need some energy to start exercising again. I'll be here for the whole challenge. My goal is 40 pounds for this challenge and I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you. |

What a great question Faerie! I need accountablility big time. :D I just need support, but if I need it . . . feel free to kick me in the butt. ;) Sometimes I just need someone to tell me to stop whining and just do it! :drill: |
Wow, the blue team IS talkative! ;)
Faerie - Just want to give you a preemptive :welcome: to Massachusetts! Chellez - My name is Jessica and I would LOVE to lose 14 lbs this challenge to get to a "normal" BMI. I haven't read the Twilight series, but have been told many times that I just have to. Think I'll add it to my list of books I want to read. They are piling up next to my bed. Gotta spend a nice relaxing weekend or two catching up! :) Thinking of going vegan soon. Maybe Heather can help me out? :D |
Dinner
I've been tracking my foods and have saved enough calories to enjoy some skinny cow tonite.
For dinner I had two cups of mixed yellow squash, broccoli, cauliflower and carrots and 7 oz of turkey breast with mushroom sauce. http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/18/18_1_36.gifGO BLUE! ~Paula |
