hi i'm misty. this is my first TBL challenge and i'm so excited. i've been having a hard time getting motivated to exercise lately, so i'm hoping to get some inspiration from you all!!
i'm 35 and have gained about 80 pounds over the past 10 years. last winter, i received an invitation to join a research study for my health plan. it turned out that i'll be paart of the program for 2 years. i've been assigned to a group that is on the jenny craig plan. i started in march and have lost 28# so far. i'm about 10# away from my 1/2 way point, so am looking forward to passing that point while on this TBL challenge!! LET'S GO BLUE TEAM!!! |
Hi yas Bluesers! I just wanted to pop in and say Hello & good luck!!!
{P.S.} Rhonda, you're so pretty! |
Blue Power Hi It's so nice to be on this team. I'm going to have to become a speed reader because another page was added while I was reading the first 3. This is my first challenge. I've been on this website off and on for about a year. I'm really looking forward to losing 20 lbs or so on this challenge. I'm doing South Beach, writing down what I eat, and exercising 3-4 days a week. |
Hi all,
This is my first biggest loser experience. Hopefully it will help me get burning through some fat through the end of the year. I would LOVE to see the two hundreds by end of the year, athlugh I think I need to be ok with the low teens to upper 300s as well. I am basically a calorie counter, trying to get more water in and walk walk walk. I look forward to "meeting" you all. Angie |
oops...forgot something.
i see we have a number of Canadians on Blue - Alberta, NS and PEI. my DH and i have been able to visit a number of times. we've been to toronto, nova scotia for two weeks last summer (great trip - Halifax, Baddeck, Pictou and Lunenberg), edmonton, banff and calgary (a number of times). while dating we took a trip from edmonton down the glacier parkway (is that the name of it?...the highway between jasper and banff) to calgary. we have great memories of wonderful trips!! |
Hi all!
This is my first TBL challenge on 3FC and i'm very excited :D A little about me: I'm a 21 year old student, 4th year at uni, studying health psychology in New Zealand. I've been doing well with my weight loss (if i do say so myself!) but lately i've been sick and not able to work out. I'm looking forward to getting back into it this week in time for the challenge |
Hello my new friends :-)
I am Tammy aka ItsGreatToBeMe :-) From Quebec, Canada...yes I'm french LOL..so please forgive my weird occasional expressions ok?? *smile* Mother of two teenage boys and currently on the Herbal Magic plan and exercising three times a week with the wonderful ladies at *Changes for Women*. Turning 40 in a few weeks and just attained my 40 pound loss earlier this week Woooooooohoooooooo I'm so excited for that and for this challenge. My first time with the TBL challenge and if I am a good girl, should be very very close to my goal once this is over in December. Did I say I was excited?? :-) Happy to be here and to meet all of you xox Go team go!! |
Well we're getting ready to do our weekly grocery shop... We've changed grocery stores because this new one has much better selection and prices; the only downside is that it also has WAY better treats! The bulk aisle is my single biggest grocery shopping challenge. :P Wish me luck.
Iconised Ghost - Hope you are feeling better soon! Realist - Welcome to the Biggest Loser! Sounds like you have a nice clear plan. flowingair - Don't worry if the chat moves too quickly to keep up with - just do your best! What Phase of South Beach are you on? mist72 - You'll definitely find good motivation here - the ladies are good at everything from being sweet to being total drill sergeants! :P It's very cool that you're on a study - keep us posted on how it's going. fauxtini - I love your username! Congrats on being so close to losing your first 50, too - what an accomplishment! If you find that the standard C25K program isn't working for you, there are two really good alternative versions on BeginnerTriathlete.com angeline - I'm right there with you on getting into onederland and then going back up - SO frustrating!! McKenziesmomma - 3FC is sooo supportive, eh? The only other board I've seen that is as friendly and supportive is one of the wedding boards I'm on! Hannah25 - Hmmm we'll have to call you out of the woodwork if you lurk! :P Laurie - Welcome to the challenge! Can you ride a bike or swim? Hope your toe heals quickly. Nori - I'm up in BC, and like you, I can't imagine living outside the PNW! I hate the rain, but everything else more than makes up for it. Rhonda - Missed you too! I'm so glad I'm back, and even better, that I'm on a team with some of my favourite 3FCers! |

Iconised Ghost: Love the cycling quote on your sig! Also.. we are ticker twins! woo hoo hehe
Practise living: I will totally check those out. I have been doing alright with it.. but i'm finding the later weeks to really take a toll on me. I want to jog/run.. not stagger my way through this program! lol Angeline: I love Canada. I'm originally from NS and lived in Halifax for about 5 years for school and whatnot. I'm from the most southern tip of NS.. in a little lobstering/fishing community so I have a passion for the OCean and i'm a snob about seafood now! haha Now that i've moved to the states with my DH, I'm excited to see more of the US and educate myself on where to go and what to see! |
YAY, I am Blue!
Hello Bluesers(I like that),
I am very excited to be a part of this Biggest Losers Challenge and especially a Blue team member. I have watched every episode of TBL and I love BOB! This will be my first time participating and I plan to do my team proud. I must admit seeing that I was the heaviest on the team was a bit of a downer, but then I remembered it just means I have more to lose and a greater chance at being the Biggest Loser Champ! :carrot: So my name is Christina, as you can tell from my oh so unique and inventive screen name. ;) I am 37 years old and I work from home. I am a single mom with a 10 year old son named Nicholas who just started 5th grade. I am also taking some online college courses for my Associates degree in Web Graphic Design. It hasn't been easy for me to juggle everything and sometimes I get very overwhelmed, but I am doing my best to focus on the importance of my health over most things. I am a Calorie Counter and I use fitday to keep track of my food. I'm a member of Curves again, thanks to my boss paying for my membership as long as I use it, or else she will dock my pay:eek:. I love Curves cause it's a no brainer, 30 mins in and you're done. I plan to do that 3 times a week and add more things as the weight comes off. I also have a Gold's Gym membership but I am so not ready to go back there yet. I have set my BL challenge goal to 24lbs. I hope I can surpass that, but I didn't want to set myself up to fail. TAMARA, NORI71, and McKenziesMomma- OMG, I love Sephora. I am so glad we do not have one local. I would be in bigger debt that I am now. I love my make-up and products but they have been neglected for awhile now. I use to never walk out of the house without the basics of make-up on and my hair done, that has changed in the past few years. I've really let myself go, but since I have started back OP and joined 3fc I have started to do a little more. I went and got my hair cut and brows waxed for the first time in 6 months last week. Maybe I will start wearing some make-up again soon, once it cools off and the humidity won't make my face melt in seconds. :( I also like the idea of a convention, but can we wait at least a year so I can fit into ONE seat on a plane? :^: Gosh I am a chatterbox, sorry ladies! I will do my best to keep the length down next time. :o Anyway, thanks for having me on the BLUE TEAM! We are SO gonna kick red's butt!!;) |

I love Makeupalley. I dont really use the makeup board, but I love the Nail care board and the Bath/Body board. Djay, I'm about to send that PM. |
I'm so excited that I came back again to see if there were any new posts LOL! I posted like 10 minutes ago hehe
|
Christina: I LOVE the feeling after my eyebrows get waxed.. I feel like a million bucks. I have been self plucking lately and it's just not the same.. I always feel like I have two different shaped brows when i'm done. lol
When I lived in Korea I used to have the best waxer ever.. I'm gonna have to find a new fave now that i'm in kentucky. Anyway.. just wanted to agree with you on how good it feels to pamper.. and expecially in the eyebrow waxing world!! It's also so great that your boss pays for your curves membership! that's the kind of boss I would like to get!! :) Good luck girl! Let's start melting the pounds away! :) |
Hi Blue Team!
My name is Annie and I love, adore dogs, hence my name"Dogpal". I have been a member of 3fc over at the 300+ thread since about 2005. This is my first Biggest Looser Challenge and I have to say I am sooooo excited! I have been married to the best husband in the world for 23 years (just celebrated 9-1-08) I have no children but I do have two beautiful "Furbabies" 1/2 lab and 1/2 golden retr. dogs. I will be starting school on 9-22 to become a certified personal trainer and again in November for a weekend testing and some classes to become a certified aquafitness instructor. That one is my dream job as I love, love water. I am really looking forward to getting to know all of my "new" friends here. Good luck to everyone. Blessings, Annie |
