good afternoon blue team!
had a bad night last night ate some pizza and dr pepper and chocolate.. it was girls night out for the first time in about 3 months. BUT i plan to bike for a while tonight :) make me feel better about eating all that food. good luck on losing weight! |

Michelle, I like the change to the exercise challenge, but that definitely means that I'm going to have to kick it up a notch! I forgot to add in my intro post that my goal is to be at goal (140) by the end of this challenge! Yesterday I got in a 3.5 mile run. Well, I think it was 3.5 miles. We went to a new park right down the street from our house and they have a series of trails that aren't marked very well, so I just estimated based on time. It felt good to get out there again! I'm so mad at our new apartment complex. We moved cross-country, so all of the negotiating and researching was done online or over the phone. They had pictures posted of the apartment, workout room, etc. and the guy promised us that there was a nice set of free weights and a good variety of cardio equiptment in there. Not only did he lie about our deposit, but the "workout room" consists of lots of mirrors, one old treadmill from 1970 and 3 weight machines, one of which is for isolating your bisceps/triceps. What a joke! Oh well, guess I get to finally build that ghetto garage gym I've always wanted ;) What do I see myself doing in 5 years? I have graduated, and found a job that lets me travel while making a decent salary. I'm still at goal and work out regularly. I also joined a crossfit gym, and am able to keep up with the regulars. I've run a half marathon, a full marathon, and am working on a tri. I own my own home and not only have a vegetable garden but have finally discovered the secret to keeping houseplants alive. That last one's a long shot, but I like to dream big. Hope everyone has a great weekend. Stay strong! |
Where do you see yourself in five years?
I see myself participating in a marathon and maintaining my goal weight of 180. I hope to have children by then and my husband and I are traveling all over the place and keeping up with them!! |

I don't think I posted my goal for the challenge in the introductions. My goal is to get to 185, which is 12 lbs down from 197 where I was when I started the challenge. In five years, I will be 55 and look like 40 and act like it too.:cool: |
Heather- I will be ecstatic if I lose 3 pounds this week. - It isn't very likely at this point, but you never know I guess..... Great job!
Dumplin - I LOVE Zumba!!! I'm going in a bit. It is such a great workout and so fun! I haven't been able to go the last two Fridays due to soccer conflicts so I hope I can keep up! In 5 years - I will be a regular runner - have finished my degree and will be working in graphic design- mostly from home. My youngest will be 6 but I would like to be home whenever the kids are. DH will be back on sea duty again and we will be living (finally!) in our own home. - unless of course his music career actually takes off, in which case we will be filthy rich, living in a mansion but that is more his dream than mine. :P |
hey everyone. just a quick stop to say hi and thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. i am still without power which sucks totally. dh went to work today so i dont know what im gonna do once the sun goes down. better get going. need to feed my rascals.
