What are you doing or planning to do in the next few weeks to insure that you stay on plan?
I couldn't sleep last night. So I got up and started going through all the pants (various sizes) in my closet. I tried on every pair. Anything that was to big I took out of my closet and am taking to Goodwill today! There is no turning back now! fauxtini- You might want to have your doctor look at that knee. A couple of months ago, I tried to do the c25k. I had a lot of pain in my knee. Went to the doctor and found out that I have arthritis in that knee because of a foot surgery I had a year ago changing the way I use my knee...and aggravated by my weight. She gave me excersises to stregthen the muscles around the knee and advised me to avoid high impact workouts. Continuing to run on that knee could have caused irreparable harm. It took me 6 weeks for the swelling to go away completely. Walking is doing wonders for me now. Moral of the story- Listen to your body when excersising. Pain is your body talking to you. Not every workout is right for every body. |
What are you doing or planning to do in the next few weeks to insure that you stay on plan?
Good question...One I feel we should be asking our selves every few weeks. I have two big things in the works at the moment to keep me on plan. A wedding in 5 weeks, for which i bought an amazing dress, which will look stunning when I loose 6-8lbs to fit into it properly...pics will follow at some point. The other thing is I am signed up for a 10K charity run, which a bunch of people have sponsered me for so it keeps me plodding away. I have never run a race before so am looking forward to it. Added to that I am here on 3FC as much as I can be as it really is one of my biggest tool for keeping me on track. |
Hi Everyone!!
I'm just checking in. Been trying to keep up with the chatter but have wanted to do nothing but snooze and sneeze the past couple of days. I woke up with a throat, ears and sinus infection yesterday. Food has been super and I did manage to exercise last night even if it wasnt for as long as I had hoped. I know today will be my worst day and after that will be on the mend. Here's to being OP for a whole 7 days! That is my biggest challenge. After that, the control kicks in  |
Ok.. so i've realised that I am in fact developing some sort of psychosis over weightloss. It's like I can't beleive when I lose. I feel like I can't realise that I CAN lose weigh and I can be at the weight I am now.
I won the last 5 pound challenge in another forum this morning... and it took other people to make me relaize I did win and to listen to the number on the scale. Gosh, im a headcase when it comes to my body! hehe Anyway.. im ok now lol Djay: Thanks for the advice :) I will definitly be listening to you! I just got to the US and am waiting on getting my medical plan and whatnot through my DHs work and then I will be there with bells on. In the meantime I will be taking it easy.. I def don't want to mess my body up.. and hey.. I love walking anyway :) Chellez: I'm changing my goal to lose 25 lbs. this challenge :) |
Brenda - I hope you feel better soon! It's so hard to feel up to anything productive when I'm sick.

What are you doing or planning to do in the next few weeks to insure that you stay on plan?
I plan on working out 5-6 days a week and trying to make better food choices. It seems since I went on vacation about a month ago, I haven't been able to get back on my plan completely. So I need to go to the store this week and get some more fruit and veggies and some other healthy stuff. |

EXERCISE - I am pushing for 500 minutes Log my Food - I have been horrible about this. I was anal about it in the beginning, but in the last couple month not consistent Better Planning - I tend to wait until the last minutes to plan my food, and then it is just what do I want and can I have it. It is the 4 Ps with me. |

GO BLUE!
Hey gang, My name is Josephine but you can call me Jo, JoJo, or whatever you like. I'm not official part of the Blue Team for this go 'round, but I am a cheerleader for you all and plan to hang out through the challenge! The last challenge I lost 45.40 pounds and had a great time! This challenge I hope to reach goal and perhaps reset a slightly lower goal and reach that too! Most important, however, is to maintain all the new habits I put in place for both eating and exercising! Quote:
Dora - TBL inspired me too, I can only imagine what a shock to the system all that activity is. I gotta say though, I'd hate to be on Jillian's team, I guess she just rubs me the wrong way. But then, it was 2 of Bob's teams in the bottom 2 right? Or am I remembering that wrong? Tawyna -- Hang in there, I know how stressful it is trying to live in the middle of hurricane devastation! I hope you get power back sooner rather than later! Have a great day everyone! :cheer3: |
What are you doing or planning to do in the next few weeks to insure that you stay on plan?
I will plan my meals the night before and cook food when I am home in the evenings to insure I have healthy food ready to go. I also plan to work out at least 5 days a week. I will attempt to wake up in the mornings on days I dont have class and workout. Then anything in the evening is bonus! With my schedule I have to commit to early mornings to make this happen. I started OP today...better late than never. I will weigh in on Sunday mornings to keep me on track during the weekend. I appreciate the support in this group and I wish I had time to get more personal. Long day of class etc. ahead so everyone have a wonderful day and I will check in tonight.:faint: |
Ugh! I really think that something is wrong with my company. We haven't been busy for the past 8 months and now all of a sudden I'm swamped.
We are getting a sewage tie in today so I had to go save flowers from being thrown out. I ended up with three 5 gallon buckets full of iris bulbs and a huge sage bush. Good news is I got some physical activity done today. Bad news is I haven't even touched the challenge stuff. :( |
