Hi Blue Team!!!!

I am soooo excited to be apart of this. This is my first BLC on 3FC. My name is Sarah and I am 24, married almost 3 years to my wonderful hubby. We have a son Landon who is almost 2. We also have 2 dogs and 1 cat. I live in Central PA. My plan is to watch what I eat, but still be able to enjoy what I like every once in a while in moderation. I try to eat about 5-6 servings of fruit and vegies a day. My workouts consits of changing up my DVD collection every week so I don't get board. I have about 20 of The Firms, 3 Turbo Jams, 6 Tae Bo, and I recently just got all 4 of the Biggest Loser DVDs. I am sooo exicted to get this started. Good Luck everyone and lets start losing!!!

Hi all!

YAHHOOOO BLUE! :carrot: I am so thrilled to be back at 3FC and back on the Blue team. I've done 1.5 BL challenges before, and this one is going to be bigger and better for me.

My name is Marianne, I'm 23 and I live in Vancouver, BC with my fiance. I work in the non-profit world, which means I'm constantly broke! :P I'm also going to school part-time online for a non-profit management certificate. My honey works tech support, and is currently on night shift, which I find really difficult - I get lonely, I eat bad things, etc.

My goal for this challenge is to get back to onederland and back into a good routine of exercise. Whether that's walking, biking, or Wii Fitting, I just need to do more of it, and do it every day.

Best of luck to all of us Bluesers!

Welcome back, Marianne! I missed you.

The plan is to stash money away from each pay period, and then do hauls at Lush, MAC, Bare Escentuals, and candle etailers. I'll also save $$ for my online nail polish supplier that sells OPI and China Glaze for cheap.

We are getting serious about being totally debt free and thus, the budget. I'm actually so excited to be on one. Who woulda' thought!? It's like a challenge now - to see how many days can pass without spending any money!! I have such a stash of product that it'll be awhile until I need to buy any more. Well, maybe more Buxom Lips from BE. And some High Impact mascara from Clinique... I love the stuff... BE would have to be my favorite line though.

I'm in Seattle. Where in Oregon are you? I have 3 sisters who live in the Salem area. We are heading to the beach (Lincoln City area) next weekend... I LOVE living in the PNW. Wouldn't move anywhere else.

Have you been on Makeupalley.com? I love the reviews. Not the boards so much. Lots of b*tchy gals...

Hi! I'm so excited to be a member of the BLUE TEAM!!!

I'm Laurie, and this is my first BL challenge here. I have been a lurker on the boards for a while. This challenge sounds like so much fun and I'm really looking forward to be part of the community!

My start was kinda disappointing though. I broke my little toe yesterday, so I've got to figure out some exercise that I can still do. :(

On the other hand, I'm pumped, pumped, pumped! Hopefully this challenge will help me watch my diet even when I can't exercise as much as I'd like.

Oh yeah!

Speaking on spending money though. Rhonda - I finally followed your advise and bought new towels at JCPenney. WOW! They are nice. I got the cotton/bamboo blend ones. So soft and best of all 50% off, plus some other online ordering discounts applied!

Nori71 09-14-2008 02:11 PM

Laurie - ugh...i've done that to my little toe before. It's painful. But it seems like it felt much better within a couple weeks. What kind of activities are you used to doing? Can you swim?

I have a bad hammer toe that I need surgery on, but I'm thinking of putting it off until goal because it's like a 6 week convalescence. Cannot afford to be doing that at this point!

Hi team. I'm Hannah, 25, student still.
I loved reading everyones intros.
My main goal this challenge is to be a consistent poster and not revert to lurking.
So excited.

Sounds like you have "sources" for great beauty products on the cheap! Hope you will provide links so we can all be skinny and beautiful for Christmas this year!
D

Ooh, yea, please share! Since I have been losing again, I have started paying more attention to my makeup, hair, clothes, nails....I LOVE to bargain shop so any tips to save $ on makeup or nail polish would be greatly appreciated!

McKenziesmomma 09-14-2008 02:48 PM

So I wonder when the challenges and stuff will get started?

I know what you mean about other boards/forums having rude people on them.....this has been the ONLY forum that I have been able to find such nice and supportive people....no one taking shots at others or bickering and stuff like that...it is very nice! :D

3FC should have a "3 Fat Chicks Losers Convention" somewhere...I don't know maybe the website leaders could find out where everyone's from and try to pick the central most location....and set a date like every 2 years to have a convention where we all get together. We can save up money over 2 years to pay for flight/hotel/ food....at the convention they could have different challenges / meet and greets / ways to keep yourself motivated like pampering yourself and showing how to do at home manicures and things like that..../ they could give out awards like who came the farthest / lost the most weight / etc....from the last convention I guess..../ and have healthy cooking seminars / ways to revamp your workouts / all kinds of activities...so it wouldn't be like we would all just go and sit around and just be there...LOL

Oh that would be so much fun...and we could all meet each other! :D

Hi Blue Team Members!!

I'm so excited to be part of this challenge (my second TBL challenge - former Black Team member)! I'm also excited that this thread wasn't too, too long and that I was able to read all of it. :carrot: It's nice to see some familiar faces too!

The first challenge I lost around 14 lbs...maybe. (I should check) While I never thought I'd actually be TBL, what I learned about myself was that I really didn't want to let the team down by posting a + weight gain. I wanted to contribute with a loss - no matter how little...as long as it was a loss. This helped me a lot so I'm psyched to be back.

I'm 47, married 4 years. We're very happy. I actually crossed into onederland during the last challenge but after it ended my DH and I went on vacation for a week. Then came Labor Day weekend and then he had major surgery the Wednesday after Labor Day (this surgery was scheduled and, thankfully, he's recuperating nicely). He was in the hospital 6 days and I was there a lot. Hospital food s*cks!!! Total weight gain about 4-5 lbs. It saddens me that I was in onderland so briefly!!! BUT I'LL BE BACK!

My goal is to be solidly in the 180s by the end of this challenge however as long as I post a loss, I'm happy! I'm a pretty slow loser too.

In December I'm starting Yoga Teacher Training so I'm doing more yoga this go 'round. I use DVDs and take at least 1 live class a week. I alternate yoga with 45 minutes on the elliptical machine. I may have to come up with some other cardio options to stave off boredom.

Today was 45 minutes on the elliptical.

Look forward to being part of the blue team with you!!!

Hey All!! So glad to finally be around for the beginning of TBL Challenge! I'm really pumped and excited that I recognize many faces ( I guess I should names) and can't wait to meet the rest of you!

A little about myself: I'm 26, originally from Nova Scotia Canada. I'm in the process of becoming a resident alien in the US since I feel in love with an American. He will be deployed for a year.. so I have some ME time to get my body in prime condition for his return! I will be in Kentucky for the year while he's away. ( anyone wanna do teh couch to five k with me in the area? )

I began my weightloss journey ( Seriously) on Feb.6, 2008 and am currently .5 lbs away from losing my first 50!! pounds! I'm so motivated and in a good head space ( mostly thanks to this board) I couldn't do it without all the support. I'm a sucker for a challenge.. so i'm pumped to start melting away the pounds with you guys and getting to know you.

I don't have a weightloss mini goal for this challenge yet.. other than completing the C25K and losing as much as healthily possible!!

I'm so glad to have a support system in general.. and especially now once my husband is deployed.

GO BLUE GO!!!

MElissa: GREAT idea about the convention! I will totally help plan that one! It would be sooo amazing!
