Hi everyone! I'm popping in late, but better late than never! I'm so excited to be back in the challenge :)

A little about me: I'm 34, a SAHM to triplet boys who are FINALLY in preschool this September and now I FINALLY have 4 seconds to myself (actually 2 1/2 hours three times a week, but who's braggin'? LOL). I'm off to the gym tomorrow to channel Jillian Michaels and I plan on seriously whoopin' some you-know-what! I think I have a little pent up energy after having endured strep throat last week. I feel --in the moment, I feel alive and I can't wait to show everyone what I am made of.

My plan is to eat *clean* and organic and to put in lots of time in the gym, or at home on the treadmill, while still balancing my family life and my reality TV addiction - wish me luck!

Cheers,
Ginger

Hi everyone! I seem to be late logging in. How did it get to be the 15th already? I am new to TBL challenges. I live in the UK and don't see the programme - but this is more real anyway - to me at least! I count calories - it's the only way for me - and try to run/walk as often as possible for exercise - and to earn more to eat of course. I have set myself a mini-goal of becoming "overweight". I think I'll treat myself to a good book when I get there. Any suggestions for an absorbing read anyone?

GO BLUE TEAM!!!!

Hi Everyone,

This is my first TBL Challange and I am so looking forward to it. There are a few names on here I recognise but not really that many people I know, so I am looking forward to getting to know everyone in the coming weeks.

A little bit about me..its looks like I am the only European on here...makes me easy to remember I guess. Im Irish, living in Brighton, about an hour south of London, on the coast. Ive been on this weight lose trip since Feb and have lost about 30lbs...and I think I have to give a large part of the credit for this to 3FC. I dont have a specific weight lose goal for this challange but I bought a dress for a wedding I have to go to in 5 weeks time and loosing 10lbs would make it look amazing and a little less scary as it has a slit to mid thigh!
I have been away on holiday for the last week until today, but thoughs of the challange and that I weighted in early before I left and didnt want to weight more when I got back kept me mostly on the straight and narrow and I am proud to announce I didnt gain any weight over the 10 days...even though the main food groups were ham and cheese..fried! and supplemented with icecream!

I dont really follow a plan, just watch what I eat, I tend to eat very well anyways...just too much. I also run, 3-4 times a week and am in training for a 10k the end of Oct. I really need to get into doing some strenght training, but am not a member of a gym. If anyone has suggestions for things I could do that would be apprecaited.

Right, Im going to stp talking now...the dont say Irish people have the gift of the gab for nothing!
Go BLue

Oops, Puffin...you must have been posting while I was...So Im not the only person this side of the Pond, cool. Where in the UK are you. And if you want a good book, the Barouqe cycle by Neal Steaphenson are amazing

Hello Irishkatt! I am in Scotland. It's a pity we don't get to see the programme isn't it? Is there any way to download it do you think? Thanks for the book rec - is it a series? I'll pop over to Amazon and look for it.
Thanks again!

irishkatt 09-15-2008 05:56 AM

Scotland is good, I spent 5 years living in Ed, moved away 2 years ago. Yeah it is a series, 3 books, the first is called quick silver..they are very absorbing and huge, over 1000 pages each one!
I dont know if there is a way to get TBL...I would love to see some of it, having never seen it...Anyone have any suggestions on ways to get ahold of it?

Good Morning you chatty ladies :)

I'm a bit busy today and have loads of work to get through - on top of breaking my work computer yesterday :(

I thought about my goals for this challenge yesterday for a bit and think I'm going to shoot for 20lbs. I may be able to do more but would be happy to be under 190 at challenge end. I'm moving into weights I haven't seen in years and it makes me a bit nervous/giddy all at the same time!

I hope everyone has an easy OP day.

ps - I now have a picture of Rhonda and Paul streaking through Gawja stuck in my head :)

Good morning Blue Team hope everyone has a nice on plan day. Yesterday was a good on plan day for me. We had some strong wind from hurricane Ike yesterday . Everything seems to be pretty calm today. I can't wait to start watching the Biggest Loser show. The wait is almost over. Good Luck Everyone!!!:goodluck:

:cheer3: :cheer3: Good Morning Blue Team!! :cheer3: :cheer3:

Well I am kicking this challenge off with a great start. I lost 4.5 lbs this week!! :carrot: Now I know some of that is from getting back to eating OP again, but I will take it. This week my goal is to exercise (in some form) every day this week. Even 20 minutes is better than no minutes. :D

Dumplin 09-15-2008 07:28 AM

Good Morning ladies and Gent!
It is a lovely blue day here in the mid-south! Actually a bit gusty from the remnants of Ike...but that has at least blown some of the humidity out of the air along with a tree or two in the road!

Melissa-Are you anywhere near Paris? My mother's family is there. I used to practically live on Kentucky Lake in the summer! I would love ro meet you at Wolfchase! It is a nice Mall. Have you been to the new one in Collierville? Veddy nice

Nori- I hope they find a match for your nephew soon. I can not imagine the level of frustration the delays would cause when a precious life is waiting. My thoughts and prayers to you and your family.

Kissingginger- A kindred reality junkie spirit. I know it's cheezy...just get so wrapped up in these people's lives. The Bachelorette and Big Brother (go Dan) took up to much of my summer. Now I have to keep up with The Biggest Looser, Survivor and The Amazing Race! Thank goodnes for Tivo! That really is obsessive huh?

Ah well at least most of you ladies will share in The Biggest Looser obsession. Right? Finally a reality show that pays off!
