Hi all,

All I can say is...wow...I am never going to be able to keep up. I am Angie, a die hard Cubs fan (woohoo). I have been transplanted from the midwest for my current job. I would in a biotech company as a product quality lead. Hectic. But, it's good. I have found that I am stuck working many 12 hour days...plus a weekend day most often. I have tried to be disciplined in walking (nearly 20 miles so far this month) and drinking my water. TOM is here, so this week isn't fabulous. Oh well. My goal is to lose 25 pounds. Actually my goal is to lose 34.2 pounds, then I will be below 300, but I just don't see that happening. But I will try. I may have to pick walking over reading posts sometimes though. :o

As a note, Annie (dogpal) is from the 300+ group that I hang out at. Allow me to attest to her fabulousness. :)

Have a good day.
Angie

Holy heck, I am offline for less than 24hours and the thread goes crazy! Love it! :D

Mckenziesmomma - threading is so cool! Basically the aesthetician uses two threads twisted together to pull out the hairs, instead of wax. It's much more precise than waxing, and it's faster than plucking. It also tends to be CHEAP - the spa I go to does both eyebrows for $5!

Annie - what an inspiring story! I'm so sorry about the loss of your brothers.

Chellez
- Sorry girl, I can't get into Twilight. I love a good vamp novel as much as the next girl, but I can't say anything good about Twilight. :P Also I'm Marianne and I want to lose 15lbs this challenge.

Hopefulpinkangel 09-15-2008 01:49 PM

Chellez- I'm Jen and my goal is 30 lbs for this challenge! :) Oh and you already converted me to Twilight. ;)

Annie-You have an amazing story and I'm so sorry for your loss. Keep up the great work!

Hi team Blue,

I am TJ, and this is my first time doing any kind of challenge. It sounds like it is going to be fun, and hopefully at the end of this, I will have lost 10 lbs.

I started dieting in July. My 3 kids were away at their grandparents for 2 months, and during this time, I did pretty well with dieting (I'm trying the SB diet). Now they are back, and it is much harder for me! I definitely need some more motiviation, and hopefully this challenge will give it to me. My husband is very supportive, he likes eating healthy stuff, so that helps.

For exercising, I like to ride my bike, and I play soccer a few times a week with friends from work at lunchtime. Unfortunately I broke my wrist this summer, so I have to go easy on it, and I can't do the things I really like to do for exercise. So I'm trying to run at least a few times a week . I'm not really much of a runner, so I need some motivation for that, and again, I'm hoping the BL challenge will help me here.

Have a great week, everyone!
-TJ

I work on Mondays and Fridays, so cannot keep up well on those days. Wow, I'd kinda forgotten how fast everything moves in the beginning. Kinda like in January on the boards!!

Annie - amazing story. I'm sorry it took the loss of your brothers, but if anything good was to come of it, it has to be your health and renewed vision for life! Thanks for sharing. You look amazing.

Chelle - I'm Nori and I want to lose 20 pounds this challenge. Secretly, I want to lose more, but realistically, 20 would be fab!!

Hello Fellow Blue Family Members!

Wow there has been so much action already. This is awesome.

So my name is Courtney, and this is my first TBL challenge. I am so excited to get to know all of you and to kick some red team butt! Im a calorie counter right now and have been stalled for a month so I think this challenge is what i need to kick it into high gear. I think im going to set my goal for 20lbs right now. I would like to lose more, but i think 20 sounds reasonable to me.

chellez 09-15-2008 02:22 PM

:faint: I'm digging my way out of this mountain of paperwork to get some stuff done challenge wise.

I swear, we are never busy but this Monday has been a doozy. Maybe they are plotting against me here?

mountain mama 09-15-2008 02:29 PM

I can't wait to get started on some challenges! But no pressure, Chellez.. hehe ;)
Im starting to relaize that i have no upper body strength. i used to.. but it's gone now that i'm into swimming anymore.
Im going to start the 100 pushup challenge if anyone's interested in starting with me.
Here's the addy: http://hundredpushups.com/
Im at the VERY beginner level.. I can maybe push out five if i'm lucky and i can't get right down to the ground. needless to say.. this really will be challenge. Anyway, let me know if you are up for it.. i will start if a thread for it if people want :)

Melissa-Are you anywhere near Paris? My mother's family is there. I used to practically live on Kentucky Lake in the summer! I would love ro meet you at Wolfchase! It is a nice Mall. Have you been to the new one in Collierville? Veddy nice

OMG - I live in CAMDEN! It's about 30 min south of Paris! You go through it on your way to Paris when you get off the interstate at exit 126! LOL! Small world! :D So...no I haven't been to the new mall! I will have to do that!

Fauxtini - I'm ready for some challenges too!!! :D

Practiceliving - that is sooo neat!!! I will check into it...but I live in a really small town so usually we don't get any of that high tech stuff for a while....I'm just glad they have waxing here!!! LOL! I can't stand plucking...I really wish i could find someone who could do my brows the way I want them...I would love to have them thinned out more and arched more...but no one seems to do it right...LOL! I don't have a very big eye area and I think if I could get my brows done the way I want them done I would have more eye area to play around with ....with the make up and stuff!!!

OMG! I can't keep up with all the posts...its like a new page every 30 mintues or something...lol! WOW!

I was just talking to the boy about starting the 100 pushups challange...so I am up for it.

opimisticchick72 09-15-2008 02:35 PM

Hey Team, Hope this finds everyone well. Purple, I too am interested in the findings about yoga and would love to hear what you find out.

Christina, I have recently finished all of Anita Blake's stuff and I adore it. Although I must tell you, she can be quite graphic when it comes to the sexual nature, lol. Just a heads up because from what I hear Twilight would be considered romper room next to Anita.:o Truthfully as much as I loved her vampire stuff, the Meredith series (faries) was equally as great. Just had to chime in when I saw Anita's name. Now my goal is to start the Twilight series, lol. Y'know Anita kinda reminds me of an early Anne Rice now that I think about it..

Day is going pretty good so far and I am managing to stay right on point.

Amy

How many of you read/want to read/will be reading the Twilight series?

I will convert you readers before long! *evil witch laugh*

I  vampire romance and I'm sure before long it will infect the Blue Team's chat because its all I tend to read in my free time.

Consider this your advance warning! ;)

Never heard of it??? I have a full load and school and probably wouldn't have time to anyways...but maybe during the summer...what is it about.
