YEAH I caught up on the thread!!! :carrot::carrot: Read it all but, I'm afraid, no personals. I'd never get through the thread.

You can call me Angeline (it's actually my middle name). I'm going to be cautious and say I will lose 18 lbs during this challenge bringing me to 185 and my BMI will slide into Overweight.

I'm also going to start focusing on my Protein/Carb daily ratio besides counting calories. I'm shooting for 1:1. I need more protein and less carbs in a day. Yesterday my ratio was 4:1. Tonight I came close to 1:1. 125g protein/167g carb. It's a good start and waaaaay better than 4:1.

I'm DVRing TBL since DH doesn't like watching it. That's OK - he watches enough HGTV with me. Tonight we have House on while I'm catching up on
3FC. So it's all good!!

Gah...Ive found all of the Ozzie biggest loser online and its sucking away my life...must sleep so that I can function tomorrow...but its so addictive! Help!

pintobean 09-16-2008 09:10 PM

Chelle, for your list...I'm Anjuli (can call me pinto/Anj/Anjuli) and I'd like to lose at least 18 lbs by end of this challenge.

JoyfulVegGirl 09-16-2008 09:20 PM

irishkatt, I'd like to help you but I just got stuck watching TBL premier sneak peek online and burned dinner (oops). Poor DB is used to it. He calls it "cajun style".

tkglenn, I hope you get power and internet restored soon. Hang in there!

Stacy, I tweaked my knee the first time I did C25K and had to start over. Just go back a week or so and take it easy to gauge where your knee is at. If it still feels weak then try walking for a week or so just to keep moving, but make sure it heals good before you put too much stress on it!

Off to check out the fitness center at my new place. I hope it has free weights (crossing fingers). If I have a good free weight set then I can get us through NJ myself, no problem ;)

Angeline...wanna race? I am guessing you are one inch taller than me and we are both at the same start point right now...my goal is 18 lbs also for this challenge. Let's spur each other on! I have to get to 179 to be "overweight" but that's where I'd like to be in January!

Stacy - I had equipment failure and had to drop off doning my C25K, and I was on the last week. I went back a few weeks and started from there and am doing fine. Got in 5 miles tonight watching TBL.

Tawny - Glad to here you and yours are ok. Was worried about you all. Post when you can, if just to let us know you are ok.

Anna - I will PM you. I can't really homeschool, but maybe you can still help me, you are so dang smart!

Well, I am up to 300 minutes this week with my LCW tonight. See you all on the boards tomorrow afternoon. I am in meetings from 0800-1200.

I thought I would sign up for this and MAYBE it would motivate me to do something. I have to say I wasn't sure how serious I would take it (please let me finish before anyone sends nasty vibes my way)! Anyway, all I can say is WOW! What an awesome group of people! :grouphug: You are so supportive and motivating! Then when I peeked at your exercise logs I was speechless! I'm scrolling down and it's 45 min, 75, 90, 120 and so on! Here I thought I could get away with my light 20 minute treadmill workout, HA HA! So, I did 65 minutes tonight, unheard of for me! I apologize for my ho hum attitude and I promise to give it my all. Okay, shut up already! :D Good luck to you all!

Stacey

NSV for today
I jogged for 5 minutes! From the frog pond near our house all the way home. It's only about 1/4 of a mile and a fast turtle probably could have passed me. I probably could have power walked it faster. But I'm counting it as jogging as that is the form I was using. Make sense? I've been riding w/the kids to the pond but I think I'm gonna start jogging it now that I know I won't die.

Food is getting better. I'm getting my portions back on track and eating more veggies.

Exercise isn't going as I had planned since the kids started preschool. I got a tattoo on the top of my foot on the 5th so I had to let that heal. I love walking hills but the park where I planned on walking has a circular paved path and while it is smooth it isn't 'flat'. There is a hill in the middle of the path and you are walking with one foot higher than the other. It hurts my hips way to much to keep that up. I'm just gonna walk the side streets and there are some pretty killer hills I can go climb or the snowmobile trail on dry days. Maybe I'll even remember the camera.

Tawnya - Hope all is well down there and you get reconnected soon.

mountain mama 09-16-2008 11:49 PM

zinke: Congrats on the 5 mins! I just recently did the same thing.. and by the sounds.. we were both going at about the same speed! but hey! we will get faster! Anyway.. just wanted to shoot a congrats to you!

Hey all,

My name is Liam. I'm KimProbable's husband. My ultimate goal is to hit 192 and stay there. For this challenge, I'm not really sure what I want my goal to be but I want to keep losing weight all the way through the challenge.

Doragone 09-17-2008 02:20 AM

Relatively quiet here tonight - TBL showtime, then to bed for many I suppose. I have to say, the show totally inspired me. I didn't work out during it, but I immediately went to the elliptical and did a 30 min hill workout, then did 15 minutes abs. How can i complain, when I see results like they had?????

MJ - I'll check you, you check me - and 2# already! Great job!!!:carrot:

Jaime - if there's anyone I hate to see in a funk, it's you dear one.:hug::hug: - this hug's for you!

Sarah - I'm not one who can get up mornings either. I worked graveyard for 20 years, so the earliest I get up is 9am, (unless forced by rigid appointments, etc.). But whenever it is I get up, the first thing I do, is head to the workout room. Is it easy - nope. Did I miss out at first? - Oh yeah. But now the day doesn't seem to go as well if I don't workout first, no matter how much I have to do. (I still work, but for myself now). It will get easier, but it does take practice.

Marianne -your circuit idea was a good one, I just didn't prepare myself for it, but I think I'll use that great idea next week during the show (during commercials). Thanks.:high:

Stacey - hey, don't apologize for getting inspired - it's contagious! You become inspired, report your progress, we get inspired, we win the contest - no problem!:grouphug:

Does anyone have any idea what the exact workout schedule is for the constestants each week? Or what they eat? Their results are so phenomenal, I'd like to apply some of that knowledge to my own struggle, wouldn't you?:drill:

Tawny - hope you're ok, I know I'm late in chiming in on that, but just as sinere.:sorry:

Amy - I'll miss you while you're gone, but look forward to all your news when you get back.:cofdate:

Chelle - I don't want to forget to thank you for all you do to make these challenges fun and interesting - you are awesome.:thanks:

Til tomorrow

Dora
